Episode description

On this episode, Nikki and Priscilla talk to solution based hypnotherapist Nicole Woodcock about how she helps people achieve goals through hypnotherapy.  Nicole shares how she became interested in hypnotherapy after having her first child and experiencing anxiety.  After participating in a hypnotherapy study, she fell in love with the practice and started practicing it herself.  She explains how going into a deep, relaxed state, or trance, helps you open up your brain to ways of thinking and being that you didn't previously know you had in you.  The process of opening your brain up helps you feel more in control of your thoughts and actions while teaching your brain to switch into a REM state.  She shares how hypnotherapy helps children and teenagers because it is a therapy that doesn't require them to talk to her to be effective.  She also discusses how ultimately, her approach of asking solution focused questions helps her clients achieve goals faster than focusing on negative problems.
