Welcome to the WBZ Book Club. I'm Jordan Rich just finished a twenty eighteen novel by Michael Landacci called Warlight. The author, best known for the novel The English Patient tells a slow, but engrossing story but the end of World War Two in London, a story told through the eyes of a young boy, Nathaniel Williams. The young boy and his sister are informed that their parents

will be leaving them for an extended stay overseas Rose. Nathaniel's mother decides to leave the children in the care and custody of quote unquote associates colorful members of the criminal element who are entrusted to look after the children. The author creates Dickens like characters with interesting nicknames, such as the Moth and the Pimlico Daughter.

Dad doesn't but Mom eventually returns and we find out she's an agent for British intelligence, living a double life burdened by wartime secrets that threatened her and her family.
