This is the WBZ book Club. I'm Jordan Rich, big fan of Sheriff Walt Longmire. Well, I've got good news. A new one by Craig Johnson, just recently released is called Tooth and Claw, with us traveling back to the earlier days of Sheriff Walt Longmeyer. After returning from Vietnam in nineteen seventy, Walt heads to an Alaskan oil rig
where he takes on a job as security chief. We mede a familiar character, Henry, known as the Cheyenne Nation, and the two decide to work together, including helping researchers being on the lookout for polar bears. This is more than a mystery, It's a thriller in every sense of the word, with the threat of a huge, monstrous bear that allegedly killed the scientist, a major ice storm that strands Walt and his friends, who end up spending the night on a grounded plane that, due to the storm,
slides into an unstable ice back. This leads to the survivors finding an abandoned ship, perhaps a ghost ship, as the thread of the big bad Bear looms. Walt Longmeyer is an enduring character, and here we get a look back at an early adventure, Craig Johnson's Tooth and Claw, a Longmeyer story the Book Club. WBZ, Boston's News Is Radio,
