This is the WBZ Book Club. Jordan Rich with you. If you're one of the many and I mean many who doesn't necessarily enjoy your time punching the clock and going to work every day, here's a book that might interest you. It's called Today Was Fun? A Book about Work Seriously. The author is consultant Brie Groth, and she contends that most work, for most days should be fun and how to achieve that. Her mantra quote what work
would be the most fun to do. It's basically a how to series of tips for managers on bringing fun back to the workplace to maximize the quality of the work and not focus as much on the amount of work getting done. Now, this philosophy doesn't sit well with every boss, and not every job or career necessarily has the fun option, but the author makes a good case, and an entertaining one, that the more enjoyable the job is,
the more creative and productive the workers will be. There's plenty of advice for employees too, to stop putting their work over everything else in life. Today Was Fun? A Book about Work Seriously in parentheses by Briegrof. The Book Club WBZ, Boston's news radio
