He's written his book called Through the Fire, the story of the four time cancer survivor, type one diabetic, and recovering alcoholic who became an obstacle course racer and defied it all. Nick's story mirrors those of so many of us, only in his case, the physical and mental challenges just kept on coming, surviving cancer four times, dealing with type one diabetes,
nerve damage, sleep apnea, and alcoholism. But Through the Fire is about one man's refusal to accept those circumstances, so he takes on one of the most grueling activities known to mankind, that of a spartan racer, a series of daunting physical challenges, brutal training in difficult conditions, all of it culminating in one hundred and twenty seven miles of endurance racing in six weeks, finding solace, hope, and strength as a Spartan athlete. An incredible and
