Welcome to the WBZ book Club, Jordan. Here there's a short list of great horror writers and one who doesn't get as much attention, but who belongs in that list is Bentley Little. He's written a series of chilling stories filled with gore and suspense, all of which are tinged
with satire about our Western culture and society. None does this better than his book from the nineteen nineties called The Store, a giant retail establishment with a generic name that chooses a little town in Arizona for its new location. It seems to offer everything the people want, but at
the expense of the small community businesses it buries. There's an evil, supernatural conspiracy that powers the store, with a bizarre hold on those who find employment there, and a creeping, deadly feeling that the evil that appears benign at first is waiting to pounce. Bentley Little's The Store. It'll have you on the edge of your seat. And that's the Book Club. WBZ, Boston's news radio
