Welcome to the w BZ Book Club. I'm Jordan Rich. It's pure elementary, nothing like a good Sherlock Holmes and Watson's story, and having read through most of Arthur Conan Doyle's collection, it's always been great fun for me to search out other authors who capture the essence of Sherlock Holmes,

much like the original creator. One such author was the late Donald Thomas, who's brought several collections of Sherlock Holmes stories to print, masterfully drawn mysteries featuring our favorite characters, Holmes and Watson, Inspector Lestrade, the Baker Street Irregulars, and a host of new characters. The one I'm currently reading and enjoying is the Execution of Sherlock Holmes New Adventures

of the Great Detective. Several long form stories, including one in which Holmes is captured and tortured by a slew of criminal minds intent on bringing him to the gallows, but as you can imagine, through his wits and while he figures out a way to escape and move on to other fascinating cases. The writing crisp and traditional, and as many Sherlockians degree few authors have done it as well as Donald Thomas, and that's the book Club. W BZ, Boston's news radio
