The Genius, the Particle Beam Weapon, and the Pursuit of Power.

Transcript

Welcome to the WBZ book Club. I'm Jordan Rich. He was considered a genius, the subject of a book called Tesla Wizard at War, The Genius, The Particle Beam Weapon, and the Pursuit of Power by Mark Ceipher. It's a deep look at Tesla's many discoveries, including the celebrated particle beam weapon,

also known at the time as the Deathray. Before and during World War II, there was much interest in the work of Tesla, interest coming from the likes of Joseph Stalin, from the USSR, General Andrew McNaughton, and of course Franklin Eleanor Roosevelt. He pioneered the dynamic theory of gravity, remote control, and wrote about the fact that his inventions, including the quote unquote deathray, would make it possible for nations to fight without army ships or guns.

Nikola Tesla was a futurist, of course, who believed that his invention of a death ray would be so horrific that nations would agree not ever to use it and put down their weapons for good. In the speculation today that Tesla might have been assassinated because of his inventive weapons of war and what he knew, Tesla Wizard at War, The Genius, the Particle Beam Weapon, and the Pursuit of Power by Mark Seipher.
