Speaker 1

Welcome to the WBZ book Club. This is Jordan Rich who better to write a book about resilience than a Navy Seal and the title is Resilience Hard Won Wisdom. We're Living a Better Life by Eric Britons. Turns out, in twenty twelve, Navy Seal Eric heard from a former comrade, Navy seal he hadn't seen in ten years, that gentleman Zach Walker, had returned home from war struggling with PTSD,

watching his life and family collapse. A heavy drinker, Zach reached out for help, and Eric was there to provide that help, and the two of them shared their thoughts on what it takes to add resilience to life, drawing upon their experience, of course, as tough Navy seals, but focusing on the less physical, a life built with purpose,

how to deal with pain and practice compassion. As the author points out, there's a warrior in each and every one of us, and resilience is an important and inspiring meditation. Not only will fellow soldiers benefit, but it's likely you, me, and anyone reading this book will come away feeling better about life. Resilience Hard Won Wisdom. We're Living a better Life by Navy Seal Eric Gritons. The Book Club w b Z, Boston's new radio
