This is the w b Z Book Club. I'm Jordan Rich. The Locus Awards l Ocus began in nineteen seventy one, given out annually in several sci fi, fantasy, and horror categories, and I'm happy to share with you some of this year's winners. First, in the science fiction novel category, the winner was The Kai Jew Preservation Society by John Klzy, with runners up including Sea of Tranquility by Emily Saint John Mandel and the Daughter of Doctor Moreau
by Sylvia Marino Garcia. In the Fantasy novel category, the Locus Award goes to Babel by R. F. Quang, with runners up including NetTel and Bone by T. Kingfisher, The Golden Enclaves by Naomi Novic and Fevered Star by Rebecca Roanhorse. And finally, for horror, the winning novel What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher, with some terrific runners up including The Paul Bearers Club by Paul Tremblay and Road of Bones by a great local author,
