Welcome to the WBZ book Club. I'm Jordan Rich. Anyone who knows Shakespeare has a good working knowledge of who Lady Macbeth is in the great play Macbeth. Well, here's a novel you might want to check out. It's called Lady Macbeth by Ava Reid. As the wife of the tragic Scottish nobleman Macbeth, Lady Macbeth toys with her husband, goading him into committing murder, all due to a thirst

for power. This novel looks at the lady exclusively, the process by which she induces madness and the game of cat and mouse she plays not only with her husband, but those in his court who are suspicious of her death and danger follow her wherever she goes. She's as tragic as the lead character, with a hidden background as a witch in the novel, and you'll find yourself enthralled learning what's hidden beneath the surface of this classic literary

villainous a novel. It's called Lady Macbeth by Ava Reid. That's the book Club, WBZ, Boston's news radio
