Nazi compound. I love the film. I've seen it many times, enjoying the work of Robert Ryan and Charles Bronson, John Cassavetti's Lee Marvin, of course, and at his villainous best, Telly Savalis. It's a late sixties film that inspired many directors, a war movie that became an all time cult classic, breaking a lot of rules along the way.
