Welcome to the w BZ Book Club. I'm Jordan rich Well, Halloween is so close. I could do a dozen segments on scary books to keep you up at night, from Stephen King to Bentley Little to Chris Golden. But here are three all star novels that have to be in your list. The Haunting of Hillhouse by Shirley Jackson, true gothic horror that, like the movie from the early sixties, plays with your mind unexplainable noises, cold sensations as you settle in to fright. It'll keep you guessing. Another classic,
Practical Magic by Boston's own Alice Hoffman. This one isn't necessarily scary, about two sisters who want to break free from their family legacy of witchery. And one more to round out the trio, Dark Harvest by Norman Partridge, considered a folk horror classic and the perfect novel to cozy up with on all hallow Z or any time. Happy reading that'll keep you up late. That's the book Club WBZ, Boston's news radio
