Hi there, This is Jordan Rich with your WZ book Club. Since before the printing press, writers have been penning tales about the oceans and the seas. When it comes to the classics, here's a list for you, starting with Hermery Melville's Moby Dick, about a man obsessed, a man who puts everyone and everything at risk in the search for
his nemesis, the White Whale. Of course, there's Hemingway's The Old Man in the Sea, a simple story about an old Cuban fisherman doing battle with a giant fish, never giving in. Browning out the list, jack London's The Sea Wolf, with one of the most conflicting characters in literature at Captain Wolf Larsen, both abusive and philosophical. Finally, Mutiny, a
novel of the Bounty by Irish writer John Boyne. This one involves a young boy with lieu of serving a prison sentence for pickpocketing as a chance to atone serving as a ship captain's personal valet on its voyage to Tahiti. That ship, of course, is the Bounty. The captain is William Blyg. We all know that an actual mutiny is about to ensue, and that's the book Club. WBZ, Boston's news radio
