Welcome to the WBEZ Book Club. I'm Jordan Rich. Harper's Bizarre Magazine as published an article promoting the best summer beach reads of twenty twenty three and whether or not they are the best. Well, that's up to the readers. But here's part one of a group of titles and authors. You might want to check out. Rachel Hurley's novel The Great Reclamation, a captivating love story

set in Singapore as World War two is looming. There's the fourth novel by author Emily Henry called Happy Place, which poses the question of whether a once happily married and secretly separated couple can fake being happy or a final summer trip with their friends. There's the novel Hula by Jasmine Iolani Haikes, a multigenerational epic set in Hawaii, And The Half Moon, a novel by Mary Beth Keane and which a married couple by themselves stuck in a blizzard having to come
