Transcript

Welcome to the WBZ book Club. I'm Jordan Rich. Jim Sullivan has served as a music critic and features writer for The Boston Globe for years, as well as for scores of other freelance publications. Has compiled a long series of interviews and reflections on conversations with rock stars in not one but two books, Backstage and Beyond forty five Years of Classic Rock, Chats and Rants, Volumes one and two. The very first story centers around the killer Jerry Lee Lewis,

and it just goes on from there. Tails and photos featuring an amazing array of artists from David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Peter Gabriel to Tina Turner, Neil Young, Katie Lang, Roy Orbison, Leonard Cohen, Warren Zevon, Pete Townsend and dozens more so much inside stuff about the artists, their work, their challenges, and their demons. In a lot of cases, you'll be surprised by the content and what you learn about your favorite rock icons.

Jim Sullivan, the author of two books, Backstage and Beyond forty five Years of Classic Rock Chats and Rants, Volumes one and two. Lots of Fun and that's the book club WBZ, Boston's news radio
