Welcome to the WZ book Club. I'm Jordan Rich. Steve Alton has written a series of thrillers, most notably the Meg series about the Megalodon, a seventy foot long, fifty ton prehistoric shark that, if you've seen the two films,
has it in for Jason Statham. When he found out from some high school students that they hated to read but loved reading his first novel, Meg, the author was flattered and began an educational nonprofit called Adopt an Author, providing free curriculum to registered teachers, and a project called Sea Monster Cove High School, a modern virtual learning platform promoting the importance and love of reading for young people.
Among his many novels and projects, a TV drama called Papa John, based on his years coaching basketball with Hall of Fame coach John Cheney.
