Welcome to the WBZ book Club. I'm Jordan Rich, more powerful than to look about him, able to leap tall buildings at a single bound. Look up in the sky, it's a burgeon. It's Superman's Yeah. Here's news about a different kind of book, a comic book, one that just sold for millions. A copy of the nineteen thirty eight Superman comic book called Action Comics Number One. Yes, it recently sold for six million dollars. CGC, a third party grading service for pop culture collectibles, says this is just

one of seventy eight copies they've graded. Just two hundred thousand copies of Action Comics Number One were published in nineteen thirty eight, telling the story of a little baby sent off to Earth from a dying planet. He lands here and becomes Clark Kent, who, of course becomes Superman. Without Superman and Action Comics Number One, the golden Age of comic books might have taken a different turn, and that is the Book Club. WBZ, Boston's news radio
