Welcome to the WBZ book Club. I'm Jordan Rich and the pantheon of great horror fiction writers, several names stand out, Stephen King, Peter Straub, and of course Dean Koontz. And I just read one of his many great books called seventy seven Shadows Street, an address that will stay with you after reading this spooky novel. It's the elegant world of the Pendleton apartment building,
whose original owner was rumored to be insane. He became a recluse after his family, his wife and two children were kidnapped in the late eighteen nineties. A second owner, thirty eight years later endured an even greater tragedy. During most years, the Pendleton is a very happy place, but every thirty eight
years or so, evil lurks again and makes its move. People go insane, Strange monstrous shapes begin to appear, and children, one of whom is autistic, are drawn to these evil presences hypnotically, and around every corner and every unit, a demonic force exists and vows to take no prisoners. Seventy seven Shadow Street by Dean Koontz. And that's the book Club. WBZ, Boston's news radio
