Episode description

This week Marques, Andrew, and David talked about the rumored Apple software redesign, Pixel 10 leaks, and the Charger EV that Marques just reviewed on Autofocus. To close it out they played a game called "Who Said That!?" where the hosts try to guess which brand posted engagement bait to Threads. Of course, we wrap it all up with trivia. Enjoy! Right. Nothing says comfort quite like a pair of Crocs.

Since 2002, they've been disrupting the footwear industry with their iconic clogged silhouette. And now you can choose from more than a hundred styles to find the pair of Crocs that is perfect for you, like the Echo Wave, with a sculptural boundary-pushing design that was crafted with the urban explorer in mind. Whatever your style, buy yours at crocs.com.

Your Crocs, your story, your world. It is a Dodge Charger. Cool. There's a bunch of different Dodge Chargers. This is the electric version of the Dodge Charger and there aren't any good... convincing reasons to buy it oh in my opinion what is up people of the internet welcome back to another regularly scheduled episode

of the waveform podcast we're your hosts i'm marquez i'm andrew and i'm david so i say regularly scheduled because last episode was a bonus episode our first ever live version of the show from south by southwest on stage with a bunch of

you guys in the audience. A good amount of you actually showed up. Thank you for those who were actually there. It was a good time. How many people? Like 3,000? 4,000? I would estimate a good quarter million. I was going to say a quarter million people. You know like the eras? tour like picture picture that but bigger

At 10 a.m. on a Saturday. It was good. It was good. No, it was probably 200-something people, which is cool. We got to have, like, sort of a live trivia version of asking ourselves questions about the audience, and we had answers from the audience. audience so that was fun we also talked about dig trying to make a comeback we talked about apple intelligence being delayed and some other stuff as well so if you want to watch that it's in the audio feed the videos on the youtube channel

We've got like our mics that we're like holding and talking. A lot of people said you sounded way different. Yeah. Because you were using a different mic. You know, there's something about this mic that like I like the way my voice sounds in this microphone. And even... Let me switch to your mic real quick. Oh, God. See how different I sound? No. It doesn't sound right at all. Right? Wait. Yeah. We sound more similar in the same mic than we do. Exactly. Yeah.

So I stick to this mic. But yeah, I agree. I sound different. There's also like reverb because it's an enormous empty, not empty, but an enormous room. But no, it was a good time. Go check that one out. But... Believe it or not, we do have some more stuff to talk about because some more news has happened since then. Also, very quick update to the Apple Intelligence story that I just wanted to bring up real quick.

Apple has pulled one of their commercials that features the Apple intelligence like deep Siri integration thing because people were basically saying that it was misinformation at this point. Yeah. And then they also added a bunch of disclaimer.

around their website, like on the iPhone 16 pages, about what it can do and when it's coming. Now it says, Siri's personal context understanding, on-screen awareness, and in-app actions are in development and will be available with a future software update. So the thing that was built from the ground up... for Siri AI that was coming in a future update will now be in a more future update. Yeah.

That's where we're at. Apple Intelligence. God, that's a lot of fine print. If you go to the bottom of the iPhone website, look how much fine print there is. Oh, it's always like that. Oh, yeah. The polishing cloth has fine print like that. Oh, my gosh. Okay, so, yeah, all of that is happening. There were also, I guess we'll get to it later, but...

There were some rumors about an iOS overhaul, so we'll talk about that later. But yeah, okay. We've got some topics here. Do we want to jump right into OnePlus, evolving the alert slider into a button? I think you jumped into it already. So I have been a fan of the Alert Slider forever. Remember the OnePlus One came out and the Alert Slider was an innovative new feature?

It's been on OnePlus phones, mostly on all of their phones, minus like a tiny gap, since then. And it's a great feature, and I think a lot of people like it. And there's some talk that they are killing the alert slider and turning it into a button. Yes. Possibly... Just a customizable button that can do what the alert slider did, but could also be customized to do other things. Where have I heard that before? Kind of seems like a similar to maybe like an action button on a certain iPhone. Yes.

This is one of those decisions that... when you look at the numbers makes perfect sense but when you look at the fans doesn't seem to make any sense because the fans are like no i love the alert slider and i love the alert slider but well it's it at least it's not them just taking it away right the default on the action button on the iphone is the alert slider function basically and you can still do it in your pocket you know without looking at your phone but i liked it the the like

You can tell where it is, though, right? And there's three clicks, correct, in the OnePlus? Yeah. So you would have to, I'm assuming, if it was the same function, you would be like, click, click, click. But this, you can be like, I'm all the way down. I'm all the way up. You can feel it in your pocket. True, but...

but the action button is awesome. Okay. I don't disagree. I feel like it's a good trade-off. I know someone who would disagree and I find it funny this is happening. So one of our friends, Beau, just texted me last week like hey you didn't do a review on the oneplus 13r like can you let me know how it is and i said oh what about this and this like i have an extra

pixel if you just want that he's like i really like the alert slider and that's like a non-negotiable for me so then this coming out within the week of him saying that so c1 plus it's a real person the alert slider is Pretty OP. Yeah. It was funny that they got rid of the alert slider a couple generations ago. People freaked out. That was like a proper scandal. I remember that. And then they brought it back and made a big deal about bringing it back. And now they're like...

How about a compromise? Yeah. So. I think the action button is great. And Pete Lau went on the OnePlus forums and said, we are evolving the alert slider into something. He did a lot of fancy dancing words saying, imagine it evolved around you. you know yeah i'm sure apple evolved the headphone jack years ago also by just not cutting the hole so yeah I think it's I'm on team action button. Some other people may disagree with me. I'm with you on that. I could be swayed. I'm swayed. Yeah.

i was swayed instantly i folded underserved i could be swayed okay i'm swayed yeah the funny thing is that uh in pete lao's post on the oneplus forums the way he was talking about the button made it sound exactly like one uh like nothing talked about the space button that they added the private space or whatever they called it what do they call it again essential essential essential essential essential space button yeah he talked about it like in the exact same way so i thought it was gonna have

the exact same functionality, but then the way he described it afterwards, it just sounds like an action button, which is cool. I mean, I love having customizable buttons and switches on devices. It's an AI alert slider. Yeah. Cool. Next up, we have a new Chrome update, specifically one that is fixing affiliate swapping.

in extensions on chrome so i'm sure we all remember honey i think we covered it on this pod and you made a video about it but chrome is making an update to their browser of uh extensions

Policy. Policy, thank you. Yeah. And so this is what they wrote. They said, affiliate links, codes, or cookies must only be included when the extension provides a direct and transparent user benefit related to the extension's core functionality. It is not permitted to inject affiliate links without related user action, without...

providing a tangible benefit to users. I almost could read there for a second. So then it's just like some common violations include inserting affiliate links when no discount cashback or donation is provided. But this is definitely a direct shot to Honey. Yeah, this is their entire business model. And PayPal paid a lot of money for them. I'm sure that they made that back off of stealing people's affiliate links. But...

Yeah, I don't really know what Honey is going to do from here on out because saving people money and not making that money back is not going to be a good business model for them. Right. They'll probably just...

We need the other browsers to do this. So Chrome is one of the most popular, but there's still Safari where someone could do this. I mean, I doubt many Firefox users are using... honey it's a good point though anyways but yeah safari internet explorer are still like defaults wait is it edge edge sorry showing her they're still like the default so yeah if they're still doing it i'm sure honey will still be making plenty of money that's true

So hopefully they do. Yeah. All right. We reviewed a certain car recently. Were you here for that? I was here for... the delivery right i saw it i saw it temporarily okay and i looked inside in person i have heard it because i've heard miles okay great doing it so yeah i just wanted to bring up the car and get your guys takes on it because i had a pretty

straightforward take i drove it for a week it is a dodge charger cool there's a bunch of different dodge chargers this is the electric version of the dodge charger and there aren't any good convincing reasons to buy it oh in my opinion okay so yeah driving it like i could tell what it's supposed to be it's supposed to be fun

It's supposed to be fun. It's a charger. All the rest of the chargers are supposed to be fun, too. Interesting. But as you get on the list, you're like, all right, what is the real king thing that it's amazing at? Is it performance? Is it that? okay maybe you could argue that it's uh the quickest charger ever it's zero to 60 in 3.3 seconds it's 600 plus horsepower all-wheel drive so it's the fastest like launching charger but you know

The quarter mile is like 11 and a half seconds. Like if you really just care about that in an EV. There are plenty of EVs that are faster. Like I brought up a couple examples in the video. Model 3 Performance walks it. EV6 GT is faster. If you really care about that for the same price, which is $80,000 for the version I tested, you could get a used Plaid.

So the reason you'd buy it can't just be straight line speed. Okay, so what other reasons are there? It's a charger. It's a charger? People who want to buy the charger want the charger. I feel like it's such a specific product. Yeah. I just realized how good the name is for an EV. Yeah, missed opportunity there. They could have done something with that. Oh, shoot. They could have called it the supercharger. That also is, though, a car thing. Yeah, hypercharger.

It won't be a track car because it weighs 6,000 pounds and it's not good at that. So there's that. It won't be a road tripper. because it only has 240 miles of range and only charges at 183 kilowatts it won't be a charger because it doesn't have an engine and it does have that loud speaker on the back and don't get me wrong it is loud it's very it is a lot it's louder than micah it's a very loud speaker system 126 decibels it makes all sorts of noises it rumbles the actual car as

sitting in it and you can feel it when you rev and yes you can rev interesting but it doesn't sound as good as the gas version number one and it also gets annoying because it's uh it just kind of has this droning because it doesn't like shift gears. So you know how if you'll like, you know CVT, you'll like get up to speed and just kind of stays at the same.

Like if you drove a regular gas car and you just like shifted to second gear and never got out of second gear, that's what it sounds like to drive this car around. So it's kind of just. And so it's loud. Yes. If that's what you're into.

But unlike maybe the Ioniq 5, which could let you like play with the gears or whatever, you can't do that with this car. So it's just, it's not a good charger. It's not a good road tripper. It's not a good track car. It's not a good straight line car. What is it? Can I have it?

ask a question yeah the sound does it like uh go with like the speed you're going does that or is it just the same like okay high power revving i'll give you a couple notes about the sound interestingly it seems to be coordinated directly to how many g's you're experiencing so it's quiet when you're not accelerating but when you're breaking or accelerating it gets louder And like a little more high-pitched.

So as you drive, maybe pulling up to a stoplight, you'd hear it go... And then as you pull off from the stoplight... And then you get up to speed and it's just...

Constantly? And it's just that, droning. You can't turn that off? So you can turn it off. Oh, okay, okay. I turned it off. Oh, okay. Because I just got annoyed by it. It's louder in track mode than regular mode, so you can dial it up or down, but I just wanted to turn it off. And then the other note about the sound is... I feel like I could actually hear the MP3 looping.

Well, because it's just a constant drone the entire time. It's just a constant drone. And if you are at the same pitch for a while, you could hear. And I could hear that. And I was like, as soon as I heard that, I was like, I have to turn this off. Yeah. And I noticed that. And as soon as I noticed it, I was like, let me.

find how to turn this off because it's really annoying. It's unacceptable in 2025. Yeah. I'm also very curious for who the target demographic for this car is. Well, the argument... is i there is it doesn't it misses all of the targets okay yeah because if you're dodging you're trying to make a charger you're trying to sell an ev to them then the target demographic is someone who wants a charger but wants an electric car

Right away, that Venn diagram has almost no overlap. And you got this huge speaker system on the back. So it's a muscle car. It's loud. You're trying to sell a car to people who want a loud muscle car, but want an electric. car like who is that and they have 80 grand to spend on it i just yeah i didn't really see who that is so here's where i landed okay daily commuter comfortable cruiser it can do that it's very comfortable it's soft

It rides well. It has a ton of space. It's a hatchback, so it has a big trunk. It also has a front trunk, but it's tiny. Whatever. It doesn't matter. But, like, lots of leg room, lots of head room, lots of visibility. It's this huge two-door, which is... kind of hilarious but whatever like there's tons of space and you ride along in soft mode turn the sound off and it's just it's chill how much is this car

This car starts at about 50 grand and goes up to like, I think the one I tested is $86,000. So $86,000 for a comfy commuter car. For a nice, comfortable commuter. There are a lot of people who buy those like... base chargers base challengers or whatever like that are pretty cheap and don't have all the big like benefits of like a muscle car they just look like a muscle car that you can drive

Yeah. To the grocery store. And this one looks like a muscle car. Yeah. It looks good. I think it looks really nice. You could fit so many groceries in this car. Does it have a frunk? A tiny frunk. I can fit a backpack in the frunk. It's weird because it's an enormous car. Yeah. And the front trunk is like. So where.

What are they doing with all the space? So they use the same chassis and same design for the gas and electric charger. Oh. So it's not a... ground up ev where they would have all this extra space like there's still a tunnel going between the driver and passenger seat there's nothing in there oh in the gas version there is but in the electric version it just has a tunnel there huh so yeah there's just a lot of a missing space interesting yeah okay i have two really quick thoughts one is

I think supposed to be fun would have been a great title for your office. That was my alternate title. Okay. That would have been really good. This looks like it's doing well. Yeah. My second thought is we all ragged on the Mustang Mach-E when it first came out because we're like, why would you call this Mustang? You all ragged on it. Hold on, hold on. You all ragged on it. We ragged on the fact that it was a Mustang, right? Like they launched it as a Mustang.

EV, but it was really like this Ford crossover. And even though I still think it didn't make much sense, seeing this now of like, here's the actual muscle car that's an EV and realizing that none of the muscle car people really want an EV.

Yeah. Maybe that was the better decision. I still think it's weird they went with a Mustang, but the Mach-E is great and it's still doing good. Hear me out. And maybe Muscle Car is different from like... a different kind of nice car imagine they made you know that what was the porsche the guy that takes the old porsche bodies and retrofits them into sacrilege motors car yeah uh I and many other people would 100% buy that car. I think that's...

But that's probably not considered a muscle car, right? No. Yeah. Yeah, it's different. Yeah, I agree. The muscle car demographic probably does not have overlap with the EV demographic. I agree. But the old school classic car demographic definitely.

does right okay question for you what if they had nailed the sound of this car through the speaker instead of hearing the loop and all that and like we heard a charger the other day and you were like see that's what a charger is supposed to sound like like yeah what if they had

nailed that part of it. You know how on the Sigma camera and also on the MacBook, you didn't know that there was no actual button and that it's just so convincing. It's so convincing that until someone tells you, you have no idea. What if it was, it felt and sounded

sounded identical sure let me give you that let's say there's a theoretical world where the sound is so incredible that it actually matches the gas car it would still not be good at any of the other things that it was supposed to be good at which is it can't it's not as quick in a straight line as all the other competitive evs that are good at that it's not a lot of range

And here's the funny thing about those motors. So it's a 335 horsepower rear motor and a 335 horsepower front motor. If I can get into leads for a second.

That's a little bit unusual. Typically, you have a more powerful rear motor because when you accelerate, all of the weight goes backwards and onto the rear axle. So you want a more powerful rear axle. That's your limiting factor. The very powerful front motor almost never... gets saturated so in this car it's evenly split between the two and you have a 6 000 pound car and sticky tires and it actually is so heavy and so weak at the rear axle that it cannot do a standing burnout

It's not capable of it. For those who know chargers... that's the whole thing like you want to be able to just do a burnout that's the rear wheel drive car as they light up the tires they spin or whatever this car is so heavy and so weak at the rear axle that it can't do that oh wow so it doesn't do the charger thing Even though it makes a cool noise, it doesn't do the road trip thing, it doesn't do the straight line thing, it doesn't do the track thing, so it would still not be a good car.

but it would sound great and that would be a cool accomplishment and you know i think to some people this car sounds cool but yeah it's a It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, in my opinion. Can I go on a quick rant that I've already gone on like 10 times that this car proves it yet again? 30% vote. What? Yes, 30% of people at South by Southwest and our panel at South by Southwest voted that I had the worst takes on waveform. So here's another one, baby.

This also goes back to the Ionic 5N. It's like you can make a car that tries to sound like a gas engine and has the rumble and all these things, but I just feel like it'd be... so much better to make something that is firmly itself. and lives in its own lane and makes a sound that is its own. And the 5N got close, but I feel like those sounds were kind of corny, especially the backfire sound was so bad.

I think when they are trying to emulate an existing thing, you're going to fail. Yeah, and there's good examples of companies doing this. The OG Tesla backup sound, I thought, was a really brilliantly designed sound. Yeah, the sort of soft hum. I thought that was really great. The BMW, that 7 Series hybrid that Hans Zimmer did all the sounds for. I thought that sounds really great.

There's a like when we were doing the Cybertruck video, you know, I both Cybertruck videos. I had mics all over the motors and that thing like deep inside the car. And the sounds we got out of it were like not that. interesting right and so we we spruced them up in the video when we made the car sound really cool and no one was like wow ellis like you totally lied to me they were like that sounds really cool and fun and i think that the best example of this and have you

I know I've brought this up a million times. There's a Ford concept car from like five years ago called the Mach E 1400. It's like the supercharged version. Sounds like a Banshee. It sounds like the coolest car. Ever. And I know it didn't sound like that in person, but it's like that's what we should be striving for, in my opinion. It's something like if you want to make a car sound like it rips.

Just make it sound like it rips. I will plus one that. I think we're in this weird era still where if you're trying to sell electric cars to people, it's almost everyone's first electric car. And so they need to build things in that are familiar to gas car users. Yeah.

a lot of vestigial features that are just just for that person and i do we we got to get a couple generations in do we where someone who's never driven a gas car drives their first car and it's electric and they don't care that it doesn't have a sound so i I will say the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT. I've watched all the reviews of that car. Way less sound deadening in that car. Rimac Nevera, another one.

You just hear the motors and it's just a electrical motor sound. And that's all you need. And it doesn't have to make a fake sound. And that is the sound of an electric car. And that's fine. Think about how breathtaking a driving experience would be. And also, yes, auto companies. you want to hire me i will make your sounds just get on get on the line but think about how breathtaking it would be for someone who is

has experience with performance gasoline cars, right? They're on a mile drag strip, like a long drag strip. They get the car up to full speed. And instead of the car making some loud noise to be like...

You're going fast. The car goes dead silent. Like, picture how that would feel as the driver. Like, you hear the motors spinning up and getting louder and louder, and then you hit 160, 170, and all of a sudden... like that would be such a unique sonic experience that would be unique to that car and I think would really wow people who are gas familiar I don't know just

call me, pay me, I'll take a cool meal for this and everyone will be talking about it and we'll call it a day. I think that was a great take, Ellis. I watch a lot of car reviews from automotive journalists who drive a lot of gas cars. and the number one word that they use when driving an electric sports car that they say it's missing is emotion and i find that really interesting

But putting the sound of a gas cart in an electric car is just like putting that meme with the mask on top of the crying face. It's like fake emotion. It's not emotion. You're stealing it from something else already, giving it its own characteristics. I think gas cars... they started up with this technology of an internal combustion engine and it was great and they happened to make noise and so the sports cars would lean in and embrace that noise because

It was just a part of the mechanical emotional feeling of like going through driving a car. I think electric cars in the future eventually should just lean into the thing that makes them better than gas cars, which is they have more torque. they have they are quieter like they can do faster acceleration they have all these things that are inherently superior to they warm up quicker yeah they have all these things that are better and they should just lean into that

And I get that there's a couple of things like creep or regen or little noises and things that make gas users more comfortable or lack of regen, I guess I should say. But yeah, for now. Almost every new electric car is somebody's first electric car. Wait, you're so right. Those are things that could be...

aurally communicated to a driver? Why do cars not have a regen sound? Why can you not hear the traction control adjusting the power of the motor on each wheel and get directional feedback from that? There's all these things that are unique to electric cars.

and these sound designers are just like, nah, bro, make the steering wheel vibrate. That's what people want, baby. Yeah, like when you're doing one pedal driving and you let go of the accelerator and it starts spinning on the regen, it should be like, whoop.

something interesting. There's a lot of stuff you could do. And that's the emotion that these, look, I'm not like a gas car guy. I'm not going to call them a mean name, but that's the emotion that these people are talking about. You know what I mean? They're talking about the feedback they're getting from the machine. There are things in electric car.

that you should be getting feedback about, not on an iPad, that you can get with your ears. Anyway, I'm very upset about this. I've been upset about it.

no you should lean in you should lean into the things that that technology is doing there's this video that got passed around last week called uh why young people like old things yeah and it's this very young kids and he makes some very good points about uh basically it all comes down to your senses and the fact that, like, when you're just tapping an iPad, there's just...

there's no sort of sensory input into anything that you're doing. And that object has replaced all of these things that used multiple different parts of your senses to sort of like give you that experience. And so when you're driving an electric car that... is taking away a lot of those senses because it doesn't do the rumble, it doesn't do all these old gas things. They should just lean into the things that the car is actually doing to bring those senses back.

Here's a really specific example. We did the driving the Model 3 on a track, remember, a couple years ago? Yeah. When you're driving an electric car on a track, you can hear when each tire... is like starting to break traction where in a gas car you can feel it but you only hear the engine

But in an electric car, as you're going around like a cone course on a track, you hear exactly when you start to slide versus just kind of trying to feel it. And the car knows which tires have traction and how much traction they do. They could... Build that into the sound engine. Car companies, hire me. Please, I can help you. Software.

Yeah, my dad is the last thing and then we'll leave sound but you know sound guy you don't get the opportunity that much to talk about stuff like this my dad also a sound guy when the first Wave electric cars were being sold him and a bunch of his sound guide friends were getting lunch together and someone asked the tape

Like now that we can make a car sound like literally anything What should we use as the engine sound and the sound that the group came up with as like what all cars could sound like is I'm so sorry for everyone who had to hear that. Because picture an entire freeway of like... No, I refuse to picture that. It sounds like a swarm of locusts. That could work. Well, okay, let's take a quick break.

We'll come back. We got some more software to talk about. We got many more things that have popped up in the news. So we will be right back, which means we should do trivia. He didn't even do the wait. Adam is the one that did the delay. I should have waited longer. Yeah. The hesitate becomes the hesitator. Okay. I wanted to ask this question for a little bit, but we've had better questions. And now I think this question's time to shine. So, guys.

Time to pull out the bad question. No, this is a good question. That is not what I was trying to say. It's good question or like fantastic question. And I... Okay, whatever, whatever. Digging yourself into a hole. All right, all right, guys. Digging. Anyway, continue. Dude, if my mic was on when you said that, digging and burying are the opposite. You don't bury her buried treasure, okay? I kind of realized that a little bit later, but I didn't want to bring it back up. No, you shouldn't.

Anyway, guys, multiple choice question. Okay. What is the name of Xiaomi's AI assistant? Xiaomi's AI assistant. And I have four choices for you. The first one. That was optional. A, as they call it. A? Zhao AI. Oh. B. Oh, by the way, sorry. All of these, I'm giving the English translation of the Chinese word. Zhao AI. So Zhao AI. B. Squiggly. C. God King Jun. Jun being Chinese name that means like handsome. God King handsome. Or. It's my nickname in ice cream. And this is not a joke.

Su7, and the assistant is an anthropomorphic version of the Xiaomi EV, the Su7 a la cars, like with eyes and tongue and stuff. That would be amazing. I'm so worried it's that one. It's definitely... god king handsome god king handsome i want to remember the chinese word but i'm i'm probably not going to so We'll think about this one. See, I told you it was a good question. It's a good question. We'll have the answers at the end, like usual. We'll be right back.

It's been reported that one in four people experience sensory sensitivities, making everyday experiences like a trip to the dentist especially difficult. In fact, 26% of sensory sensitive individuals avoid dental visits entirely. In Sensory Overload, a new documentary produced as part of Sensodyne's Sensory Inclusion Initiative, we follow individuals navigating a world not built for them, where bright lights, loud sounds,

and unexpected touches can turn routine moments into overwhelming challenges. Burnett Grant, for example, has spent their life masking discomfort in workplaces that don't accommodate neurodivergence. I've only had two full-time jobs where I felt safe, they share. This is why they're advocating for change. Through deeply personal stories like Burnett's, sensory overload highlights the urgent need for spaces, dental offices, and beyond that embrace sensory inclusion.

because true inclusion requires action with environments where everyone feels safe. Watch sensory overload now, streaming on Hulu. Meet Klaviyo, the only CRM built for B2C. update headline word on the street is going to be a major uh visual overhaul and if you read into this story so this is a bloomberg article um it seems like there's going to be the biggest overhaul since ios 7 is what they're saying and it's going to be much inspired by vision os so a lot of that like when you open up vision os or if you watch the video of the vision os very glassy a lot of transparency i'm on the fence about it i'm trying to picture ios looking like that

And I get that you want it to be consistent and everything, but it's also technically skeuomorphism. Can I take it a step further? This is not just iOS. This is iPadOS, macOS, and iOS. Yeah, they said...

Mark Gurman said it's the biggest change to Mac since Big Sur, which is in 2020. And then, like you said, iOS since iOS 7. it would make sense if you are apple and you're doubling down on vision os really is our future and really is something we believe in so everything's gonna look like that i get that part i'm just trying to picture

i'm not a designer clearly i'm trying to picture what that actually looks like i don't know if you guys have thoughts on how it looks currently it's interesting because they just went through a bunch of like we're adding dark mode now and so you have to like make a dark mode icon and so

Clearly, they don't want to do a bunch more work to actually change the look of the icons again. So it's more going to be the UI elements. So the idea of the existing icons sitting on top of that glassy UI element is kind of interesting. Pro they have that working already I guess so I could see it I mean I think people adapt to things faster than people generally think they adapt to things

So they adapt to it quickly, but they love to complain about adapting to it immediately. They complain for like a month and then they get over it. And I'm one of them. I totally understand where they're going. Yes. Yes. Do you guys like the way vision OS looks visually? Yeah.

Like it's got some floating elements outside the windows. There's these glassy windows with sort of like a frosted glass type of look so that whatever's behind them is like frosted out. And then... there are hovering elements outside of it like the x or the bar to drag and move around the window every icon is a circle also i believe yeah on the home screen um things layer on top of each other a lot so the glass kind of stacks it's It's definitely an appropriate look

UI in a physical space because there's often going to be like surfaces and textures and things like that behind the glass that you still want to be aware of. So it makes sense to have that in a physical space. But the iPhone or the Mac never to me felt. like it had to do that.

So I get consistency, but I just don't, I don't know if I can picture it. Yeah, I guess usually these companies want to get you used to the primary interaction mode, like the object that you use the most, and then everything sort of percolates from that. And it's definitely looking very far into the future to say vision OS and vision-like interaction with the computer is what you need to get used to right now. Because...

Vision OS or Vision Pro sales are not doing very well. Yeah. And I think it's going to be quite a while before we transition to using these kind of headsets more often. Yeah. Mark Gurman said that the...

The push is like part of them trying to simplify how users use their devices. So I guess like if you think about it, Vision OS probably is the simplest way to use something because you have... less intuitive controls they needed to make it as simple as possible i agree with you though moving everything to be into their less least popular least like in the hands of people product feels weird but i guess

They had to spend so much time creating the UI. And I think it's a little further than just the icons. There are a lot of circular, glassy, very rounded edges on a lot of different things inside of... like the menu systems and playing songs and settings and messages and everything.

So maybe it's just slightly going a little more towards that. They also might think that if they can get users used to the UI right now on a thing that they use all the time when they eventually buy some sort of vision OS type. device, whatever that ends up being, it'll be more naturally intuitive to them because the UIs look the same.

Kind of like how the Apple Watch uses very similar icons to the iPhone, and the menus are similar. It's got some design and style, but it's still intuitive because you know how to use the iPhone. Yeah, I think it's also kind of interesting, though, is the claim to this, and obviously this is a rumor, but Gurman's pretty spot on a lot of the time, trying to make everything so similar.

When just at one of the questions you answered at the South by show was somebody asking if touchscreens would go on Macs and like how there's a very distinct difference between how the iPad and the Mac work. So we're trying to make things more similar, but Apple also needs to. make things not too similar so they don't cannibalize each other's products. Where do we draw the line? Are we just talking UI here?

It's funny doing that. How are they not going to cannibalize other things? Yeah. So Vision OS is still going to have to be their only, I'm doing air quotes for audio listeners, spatial.

operating system like three like things are going to be in front of and behind and you move them around and in forward and backward in space that's vision os is the only place that that will still happen so i guess That distinguishes Vision OS from the other things, and then the other things are still going to be glossy and transparent and glassy and things like that.

technically again skeuomorphism i think i'm using that word correctly but uh they won't have the x y and z axis all at the same time yeah all i'm saying is like i miss the days of Android releases where every single one looked completely different. And we just got like weird, wacky, wild stuff. Yeah, Holo. It was fun. And Gingerbread, or yeah, Kit Kat or Gingerbread was the best. It was just amazing. That's a crazy sentence.

to this because i feel like apple has not had something kind of like how material design is on google where it's like layers of things and the whole point of that when they were building that out was to like mimic physical things that you're touching so I could see how you said, Marquez, that this is supposed to be for Vision OS. It makes a lot of sense to have glassy things, but we touch glass all the time. So I don't...

think that would be that weird on our phones. I think I'll touch glass. Okay, we just finished talking about how electric cars have way less tactile feel. and people are used to having and miss real tactile, like typing on an iPad versus typing on a mechanical keyboard, that type of difference. I don't know. Does skew morphism on a glass screen... where things are starting to represent real textures and materials again does that feel backwards but the texture is glass

Like when it's mimicking like a frosted glass and then you're touching things on your screen that is also glass. Yeah. Okay. That's fair. Are we picturing like the finder window being like that? Like a bit more see-through with all of you? Because I kind of like that idea. Because the sidebar is opaque right now.

Imagine that. The stuff around the UI is now all suddenly glass. I think the reason I would like that is because a lot of Apple monitors are... Like the Pro Display XDR is just a big monitor. So I don't... use double i just use a lot of different window sizes kind of all over the place so having finder windows that are more transparent and being able to kind of see what's directly under it without while still being able to recognize

you know, the icons that are inside the Finder window. Yeah. I think that sounds kind of nice. There is, forgive me if someone already said this, there is a lot of transparency already in macOS. Yeah. Like when you open a new tab in Safari, for example, that's like a opaque. Safari. Yeah. And the notification, the control center, that pop down.

Yeah. Kind of looks like an iOS. And we were talking about this when it got updated. We were like, oh, wow, they're adding a bunch of very iOS-y elements to macOS. Yeah. And I guess we just got used to them. They need to make the YouTube app look like the old little TV again. That's all I'm saying. And the leather. The leather. Yeah. The leather Instagram icon. Yeah. We need more leather. I agree. Yeah. If it's pure aesthetics, I feel like you can just do whatever you want.

Yeah. And this is the one they've chosen. And there are some apps that we've like really abstracted. Like the old photo app used to be a sunflower, like a picture of a sunflower. It was. And now it's that like pinwheel that is supposed to sort of. be a flower, but it's just been abstracted into this generic pinwheel that also Slack uses and also Google Photos uses and also a million other apps use.

So, yeah, I don't know. I'm all for things looking like they look in real life. I'm super down. I just want to say, if you want a preview of this, there's a thing called Hyperland on Arch Linux, by the way. I use Arch, by the way. I use Arch, by the way. And it is very...

like everything is transparent and see i mean you could customize it to not be that but everything that i see on like r slash unix porn which is a amazing thing yeah i know crazy can you say that what yeah on the podcast yeah r slash unix porn Maybe say it one time. Maybe I should say it one more time. So yeah, in that community, a lot of people customize their setups to look very transparent and glassy. So that's a good little preview if you want to see what macOS could look like.

interesting interesting i'm just excited for an overhaul because we just did the world's most boring macbook air review ever because just like things aren't changing at all and i will be excited to see something different they whispered blue into the box before closing that i did not realize that you had that in the script I was watching the video and I like, LOL. The most exciting part of that was that someone bled on the box. That's true. Did you put it in the video? Yeah. Yeah. It was weird.

yeah like the top 10 comments I guess I'll just mention yeah the bleeding edge comments are funny I reviewed the MacBook Air the M4 MacBook Air long story short they put an M4 chip in it and it's cheaper is there a long story yeah no that i mean the long story is they put an m4 chip in it it has more ai cores it does certain things better than the m3 version it had blood on the box it has wait i didn't get there yet okay it has a slightly different mute icon with a little cross oh

Which I think they'll probably update all the MacBooks solely to have that new mute icon. It has a slightly new light blue color. It's sky blue. It looks a little more blue when it's up against white surfaces. It looks a lot less blue when it's up against... actually blue surfaces yeah what else they have a new 12 megapixel ultra wide center stage webcam oh cool um that's a long story and then also somebody bled on the box yeah uh don't know who

Don't know when, don't know how. If I buy one, will it also come with blood on the box? I hope not. Special edition. It's kind of weird. Product Red. End the AI. Product Red is crazy. Product Red is crazy. Yeah, we don't know what the story is. That's funny. Did Apple say anything to you about that?

I mean, I told them about it and they offered to send me a new one. And I was just like, I have the laptop. It's fine. I don't need another one. I just want to let you know someone is dying packaging your products. Yeah. So that's kind of it. That's fun. Go watch the video if you want the long story. Yeah. It's not much longer than that. Yeah. Did you see? Hold on to your seats, everyone. There was a Pixel 10 leak.

Never could have guessed. It gets earlier every week. Pixel 9a is not even out yet. This is a small leak, but I think a cool one. We could patch it pretty easily. Yeah, we could. Hopefully, if any of us know how to patch leaks, but I don't think we do. Google certainly doesn't know how to patch leaks. Google does not. They've been waiting for the plumber to come for like 15 years. Oh, wow.

So OnLeaks did his first CAD rendering of what he knows. And because it's CAD and only hardware, and that's all we know, the most interesting thing... It looks like we're getting a third camera on the Pixel 10 base model. Let's go. And it looks like a periscope. Let's go. It's very interesting. Yeah. Because we've talked about Pixel 9a rumors and how that's...

It's supposed to be like a pretty basic looking, boring phone, flat camera bump, that type of thing. And I don't know if you remember Pixel 8a, but my whole... question around pixel 8a was wait why would you get this if you can already get a pixel 8 on discount and it's a better phone and it's almost the same price

so i feel like i'm see i'm watching google separate the 9a and the 10 yes a little bit more so that they make sense at different prices which is ironic because last year they released a ton of different pixel 9 skus because there was the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Oh, yes. I forgot about that. Yeah. So how do we know, by the way, that the small one is not just a Pixel 9?

Pro. That's a very good point. Isn't that what makes the Pro? Is the extra camera and slightly better screen or something? Pretty much. So is there not? So maybe this, I mean, I didn't see the rumor, but is it not? Pixel 10? Maybe it's just Pixel 10 Pro? The headline seems to believe it's the regular Pixel 10 that's getting a third camera, which would be interesting. But we also had the Pro that was the same size as the regular phone last year with the 9. Yeah.

Yeah. TBD. I mean, the rumor is that the base is getting it. So maybe the fact that it looks like a pro is just because it's a base with an extra camera. Yeah. But I am curious what's going to differentiate the regular one from the Pro at that point, besides like slightly better screen. Yeah. They should all have the thing that I'm most excited for in Pixel 10, which is Tensor G5. That's true.

all i care about that's true but the pixel we've been talking about tensor g5 for like three years and it's finally coming the dsmc yeah i this is I can't wait. Yeah. I really hope it is what we're hoping it is, which is an actually good performing tensor chip. Because when we first heard Google was going to do a tensor thing, we were like, oh, wow, yeah, maybe they'll... you know have great performance and great ai and it'll be you know on par with what qualcomm offers

At a basic level, it's not. Like, their chips are not as powerful as the flagship Qualcomm chip, but they work. They're fine. They're not going to do amazing with gaming or anything like that, but they work with Google's AI stuff. But, man, I just want it to be a smooth phone that's fast, that does everything at the same level of a Qualcomm chip. Maybe a silicon carbon battery as well. That would be nice. More capacity. I don't know if Google's up to that, though.

Yeah. They're famously not like the most advanced with hardware. Yeah. They may do just a thicker phone with more battery in general, which is cool with me. That'd be sweet. But yeah, Tempster G5, please. Please. Please. okay wait i'm thoroughly confused about this yeah yeah there's two i'm reading two different articles about how this would be the pixel 10 my moron but forgot that there was the pixel 9 pro which just looks exactly like this yeah

It's possible that the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro are incredibly close to each other. That's true. They've done crazier things before. I'm reading two different articles. I just reread them, and none of them are even hinting that this could just be the Pixel 10 Pro. Yeah, this render just looks like a Pixel 9. With an extra Periscope camera. So a Pixel 9 Pro. Yeah. Yes. Because it basically said it's the same thing, but with an extra camera.

A lot of people get confused because the Pixel 9 Pro and 10 Pro are like really, really similar. But the 10 Pro has to come from the 10 professional region of France. Oh, my God. I saw where that was going. Oh my god. Maybe Onleaks just very specifically said he thought this was the Pixel 10.

who knows my friends this is either a cool story or the dumbest story possible it's possible that you're welcome or i'm sorry that yeah this this would be very interesting if they have a pixel 10 and a pixel 10 pro that both have the tensor g5 that both have triple cameras that are both the same

size what is the difference between those phones one has a brighter screen one's more expensive four cameras yeah what are they going to do i don't know just aluminum instead of or a stainless steel i don't know what's the difference alert slider now you got me triggered 100 bucks more transparency in the os i just want you to know i'm even looking at comments on the verge about this and they're talking about the pixel 11a so i have no idea where anything is happening

the 9A yet. Wow. We don't even have the 9A yet. okay well there we go whatever it ends up being it'll probably be a pixel we'll see the we'll see a full unboxing next week probably so we'll know for sure yeah yeah hold on long enough we'll see all the phones come out before they actually come out In that case, we'll take a quick break again. We got some more stuff after the break, but here's some more trivia. Yeah, yeah!

Trivia, dude. Second question. So earlier we spoke about EVs, specifically the Dodge Charger EV. Is that its actual name? Dodge Charger EV? Dodge Charger, Daytona. Daytona EV. SRT. stage two scat pack. Really? Oh my god. They didn't put the word scat pack on it, but it is stage two. What does Daytona mean? It's a place in Florida. How long would it take to explain the Determine 500? Jesus Christ, it's a place. Magic? Magic bird?

It's a city in Florida where the first major yearly NASCAR race was held on the beach, the Daytona 500. And for a long time, it was the largest, fastest race course in America until a place... called Talladega.

was built what made the course fast it was it's just a giant oval so you could just like smash it big gradual turn straight away big there was another dodge daytona that i believe came out in 1969 but i don't have the exact year late 60s that was had a body kit made by Chrysler's missile division like their defense contractors and it's one of the craziest looking cars ever and so they called this one the Dodge Daytona but it does

It just has a front spoiler. There's nothing crazy about it. But if you look up 1960s Dodge Daytona, you will see a car that looks like it was designed by a person who had only ever designed missiles. That's kind of awesome. Anyway, that's... That's the scoop. I love the history lesson. Thank you. All right. I love NASCAR. Second question. I'm going to have to get back to you because Ellis just took my trivia question. So. Oh.

After the break. No, that wasn't the answer to the question. It's close enough. That is not the first Dodge Daytona, Adam. Or it is the first Dodge Daytona, but it's not the first. Oh, I already started looking up Daytona. Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. Okay, Supernova, Revolution, Distortion, Solar Flare, and Sangrita Blast are all flavors of what? After the break. Apocalyptic solar system events. Flavors of apocalyptic solar system events.

Not the thing my eye does when I don't get enough sleep, but the pioneering live streaming service that Amazon bought for a billion dollars back in 2014. welcome back so to close out this episode we are doing something called who said what which is i'm going to read out a post from threads that a brand has made and you have to tell me which brand it was Which brand was engagement baiting so hard that we turned it into a segment on the Waveform podcast? All of them, dude. Every single one. First, let's start it off pretty simple and easy.

What's the best song to play as the clock strikes midnight on New Year's Eve? Okay. I have a guess. Are we just guessing out loud? Write it down quick and flip them and read. I don't have to make it official. How about we call this Corporate... Cringe. Sure. Yeah, I like that. Corporate cringe. I don't have a board. I'm going to say McDonald's just because you almost said McNugget, I feel like. What was the thing again? What's the best song to play as the clock strikes midnight?

On New Year's Eve. Oh, I know. I think I'm following this brand. Tire by Creed. Why would a brand tweet this? Tire by Tyo Cruz. Terry Cruz? Tyo. Tyo Cruz. Wait, I got it. I got it. What do you guys think it is? And then we have to guess. I think it was Spotify. No, you're guessing the company. You're guessing the company, not the song. Dude, I put YouTube music. Oh, shit. David, what did you say? Spotify.

I guessed After Midnight by Chaparron. That's hilarious. That sounds a banger, by the way. Wow. Okay, next. Do you have an eraser? Just to answer the prance question. Wait, what did they say? What was the top comment? Evenflow? What? That's not the point of this. Nobody cares. The top comment was this at least I didn't answer Oh, the bass drop. Yeah, I timed it. The bass drop. I knew you were going to do that. Next one. Reply one if you are online. Two if you are do not disturb.

If you're online. Which Brian said that? This is on Threads? This is Threads. Oh, Threads is like the massive engagement beat. Yeah. Well, it's definitely not Skype because they're dead. I am do not disturb. Flip them. Hold on. Oh, my God. Okay. Okay. Okay. I said Microsoft. Nope. I said Slack. Nope. I said nothing. No. I said OnePlus. It was Discord. Oh, online. That makes sense. Online. Yeah.

Next, you're the brush to my canvas, the glow to my effects, the gradient to my heart. Rainbow emoji, heart emoji. Why would they post that? engagement it was on it's doing dummy numbers this remember when um google was like AI can write your Facebook statuses and posts. This feels like all these companies flip them and read. What do you got? It's not too late to delete this. I wrote Adobe. I also wrote Adobe. I'll give you guys that.

Was it Photoshop? It was Photoshop. Marquez, what'd you say? I wrote Pixelmator. Ooh, close. I almost wrote Photoshop, but it was Photoshop. Okay. Babe, what's wrong? You barely touched your documents. Does every company just have the same social media manager? It must be. Oh, my God. Wendy's. That would bang as a Wendy's tweet. That would be an awesome Wendy's tweet.

You know what's the worst is when all the brands just start replying to each other. Yeah. This is like all the AIs talking to each other. It's like the same thing. All right. Flip him and read. What do we got? Oh, God. I wrote Google Docs. Nope. Or Acrobat. Nope. I wrote Microsoft. Nope. Dang it. Notion.

You barely test your documents? There's no documents in Notion. Because it's impossible to click documents in Notion. When you post all our thumbnails, you have to click the perfect top right corner of them to actually see the image. Okay, I got one. All caps. I dip my...

fries and the tears of my haters. That's... That better be Wendy's. I'm guessing Wendy's. I'm just telling you I'm guessing Wendy's. It has to be. If it's McDonald's, I'm gonna... Flip them and read. What do we got? I also wrote Wendy's. I wrote Beyond Meat. They have a pretty big. Not beyond me, but it was Wendy's. I'll give you an easy one.

I told you the answer. They're like known for the... Okay, next. What are your photography ics? Wow, who would tweet that? That's real engagement data. Question on threads. What are your photography ics? Yeah, it's either a question or a horrible take. Oh, what's that camera app that people... The camera? No, the iPhone, like a... Halide? Halide?

oh oh the one that uh brandon uses brandon and rich use all the time that you can add fake lens oh no that's different that's uh no that's um i'll just do halid whatever halide halide Silver Halliday. Halliday. Flip them. I wrote Halliday. I wrote Sony. I wrote Fuji. Was it threads? It was canon. Can we collectively...

Try and answer these? Sure. Maybe we'll do better if we collectively work together. Here's one that could be interesting. Because we're all losing. Okay. Happy New Year! Oh, no. 2024 will be the year of blank. That's threads. That's... It's got to be threads. Threads? Yeah. Oh, like you think threads is saying like this is the year of threads? The ultra generic ones are just the threads. Yeah.

It was like an underline, too. Like, they were saying, like, please. I can see it being threads. I can see it being threads. Guess they're hoping you put threads in there. And they wanted this to be the year of threads over Twitter. 2024? 2024 will be the year of threads. Definitely. on the official threads account. Marques, you tweeted that. That was probably one of my first threads posts where I was just like, let's see what happens here. It was, I went way back. What's the top?

I don't know. Stop asking me. These are all screenshots. Gushing granny. Anyway, on a lighter note, next one. Don't forget to floss. Tooth emoji. Threads. 100% threads. I think that could be threads. You think it's a non-dental... This one's not me for sure. You don't think it's like Colgate? No. Don't forget to floss. Do you think it's... Tooth emoji. Does the, like, the AD... Is it the...

Dental Association? What is that? American Dental Association? The ADA. Do they have a Threads account? It's definitely Threads. Colgate could be on Threads. We'll go Threads. Yeah, but Colgate wouldn't tweet something that generic. That one was actually you, David. No, it was threads. It was threads. Good rants. Makes sense. Suspect texts using their fingers instead of thumbs. Wait, suspect texts with their fingers instead of their thumbs.

Oh, interesting. This could be a software company. The FBI. What does it mean, suspect? Have you seen that meme where if you're like running after someone and you're supposed to like call out what the police would say if they were chasing you? Suspect is wearing a red shirt. And then they like roast you. They like sex with their fingers.

Maybe like a keyboard company because you... Logitech? I feel like... That's a good guess. Who types with their fingers? I feel like the older generation, right? Oh, you're like my mom. Yeah. Yeah, like... But who then would be making fun of that? AARP. Andrew, this was you. Swift key. Swift key.

You're going with SwiftKey? Yeah. That's specifically so you don't use your fingers. You just swipe around with your thumb. Exactly. Yeah, but they're like saying it's cringy. Oh, okay, cool. You're roasting someone who does. Okay, cool. I agree then. SwiftKey is owned by Microsoft. Oh, yeah?

No, it was Google Pixel account. That's generic enough. I can see that. All right, here's an engagement baby one. I'm ready. You're booking your dream festival. Who's headlining? That's Spotify. The Chainsmokers. No, well, we did Spotify already. Who else would be? But we were wrong. No, you were right. Oh, I was right. I was right. Like SoundCloud, YouTube Music. SoundCloud has one, a Threads account. You're booking your dream festival. Who's headlining?

Yeah, Apple Music. Oh, who's the Fyre Fest? YouTube Music. All wrong. YouTube Music. It's Live Nation. No. Why did you just follow them on threads? Now we're doing their work for them, too? Yeah. Okay, last one. Last one. Are you ready, guys? Yep. Take a moment to remember hashtag Pearl Harbor with us. There's no way. What, too soon? Google Maps. Okay, anyone else? History Channel. It was SpaghettiOs. No way. And they had to apologize the next day.

And they posted a picture of a smiling Spaghetti-O holding an American flag. No way. No way. No way. This made it out of traps. Still want to cut this? See, this is what I was looking for. I was looking for these just like insane. Someone save us from this. Be more generic. You gotta be, yeah. You know, in 2015, I made a new Instagram account because I realized that on my old Instagram account, I was just following a bunch of brands.

And I was like, why am I signing up to have this experience? And that's what threads often feels like. Yeah. My homepage and threads right now, the top post is threads saying we're here for you. And then weather channel who says, wouldn't you like to know weather boy? Oh, my gosh. Wait, you've seen that video, right? Yeah. Okay. Never mind. I love it. That's one of my favorite videos on the Internet. The Weather Channel. Perfect. Anyway.

shall we uh triv it up shall we su7 shall we oh that's good that's what they should name their uh their their that would actually be funny shall we that's why i said it Anyway, so now that we've already introed it, what is the name of Xiaomi's AI assistant? Do we actually? Oh, yeah, I have to read them. Can you reread them? Yeah, sorry. Wait, let me just. A. Zhao AI. B. Squiggly. C. God King Handsome. Or D. SU7. And again.

Su7 is the name of their hit EV, and it is an anthropomorphized car in the style of the movie cars with eyes and a tongue. Why the tongue? I like how you don't say mouth. What does he do with the tongue? Cars kind of all like naturally have mouths, right? Like you look at the grill and it's like eyes, you know, but...

I just feel like that's the... I mean, Lightning McQueen literally wins a piston cup with his tongue in Cars 1 if we're keeping score. That's actually a good point. That's why they have tongues. Flip them and read. All right. Marquez, why don't you go first? We all did something different. I picked C, God, King, Handsome. Unfortunately, no, I made that up. Dang it.

I said squiggly. I made that up too. That would be a very silly name for an AI. And David, you picked... I said a Xiao. Xiao AI is correct. Also sometimes referred to as Super Xiao AI. Too much sense. Yeah. So David, congratulations on your 14th point. I fell behind at the live show for saying 81 instead of 80. So I need this. You flew too close to the sun. I fell behind the minute we started.

trivia this season. It's okay. You did so well last season, Andrew. I think someone needed to, you know, take you down. Thank you. That's true. You carried the one. That's true. Anyway, Adam. Or do you want to do my question? Yeah, what was your question? My question was, Typhoon, Supernova, Revolution, Distortion, Solar Flare, and Sangrita Blast are all flavors of what?

Locked in. That's crazy how fast you answered that. That's crazy. Okay, it leads me to believe it's probably this. I love it because I'm pretty sure. That just messed with Marquez. Oh. Damn. Shoot. I'm hoping. It's probably Kool-Aid or something. Tea? Tea flavor? All right. I hope I'm right. All right. David and I both did. I'm wrong, aren't I? Mountain Dew, baby. Oh, my God. Andrew, what did you say? I thought you were pulling the G Fuel out of nowhere. Not G Fuel. Wow.

Wow. I'm sorry, Andrew. I tried. Look. If you have Baja Blast, it infers Sangrita Blast. They were all limited edition flavors. I'm sorry, Solar Flare was only available at 7-Eleven. That's dope. Do Code Red Livewire Voodoo Spark. I wanted deeper cuts. I wanted deeper cuts. I was trying to weed out. The non-believers. G Fuel would have been a deep cut. I thought you were just coming back with the G Fuel randomly. No, if it was G Fuel, it would have been things like...

blood plasma. Yeah. Do you feel as the OG waveform listeners? Yeah. Mercury. Mercury. Are we leaving this all in? I honestly don't know where I would cut it, so I think we have to. Of course it's in. Why would it be out? That's part of the podcast. Wait, do you want to ask a question? I feel bad, Adam. What's my mother's maiden name? David. No.
