Episode 141: Captain America: Brave New World

We’re kicking off the first MCU movie of 2025 with Episode 141, where we dive into Captain America: Brave New World. Our cousins, Anthony and Helaine from Talkin' Ish: A Podcast Among Friends, joined the conversation and got pretty hyped with us! Some of the major points we covered were Sam’s bond with Isaiah, the epic fight scenes, whether we should’ve seen more Red Hulk, and the weight Sam carries as a black man stepping into the role of Captain America. The online opinions surrounding this movie have been all over the place, but as a group, we’re sticking with the mindset: “If you want to see it, go see it and forget what others think.” Jason also threw out an interesting question—does Sam’s Captain America deserve the same love and recognition that Chadwick’s Black Panther got?
