Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time is in Cinema’s now, and I had the honour and privilege to sit down with Director Ava DuVernay. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words how special this was for me.
Ava DuVernay was nominated for the Academy Award- Best Picture for Selma, and Best Documentary film for 13th, she racked up 4 Golden Globe nominations and won 4 Emmys, a Peabody award and a BAFTA. Her work includes Middle of Nowhere, Selma, 13th, Jay-Z's A family Feud, Queen Sugar and of course A Wrinkle In Time to name a few. Ava also founded Array and incredible independent film collective which is dedicated to the amplification of independent films by people of colour and women globally.
