The word "confidence" comes from the Latin 'con' (with) and 'fidere' (trust). Self consciousness requires a singular focus on self. By definition, self confidence demands a joint, outward focus - with. Trust with others, trust with God. One cannot be both genuinely confident and self-centered. Thanks for walking with me.
