SHOW NOTES: The angel of the Lord, Gabriel, was sent to deliver several important messages in preparation for the arrival of Baby Jesus in Bethlehem. Zacharias, Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds saw the angel of the Lord and he spoke these words, “Do not be afraid.” God the Father was laying the groundwork for the entrance of His One and Only Son to the earth. The fanfare for His birth would include a multitude of the heavenly hosts proclaiming, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” Each of these is an announcement of God’s plan for salvation unfolding.
