Amy King hosts your Monday Wake Up Call. ABC White House Correspondent Karen Travers discusses President to address UN General Assembly and give a “full-throated defense of support for Ukraine. Host of ‘How to Money’ Joel Larsgaard joins Amy King on Wake Up Call to talk about why not all index funds are created equal, cell phone carrier promotions that are happening right now that are trying to entice folks into getting a new iPhone. Amy interviews Botanical Gardens Curator Brandon Tam about the Corpse Flower that is ready to bloom at the Huntington Library. The Corpse Flower is the largest unbranched inflorescence in the plant kingdom. It can grow more than 8 feet tall, blooms for only 1 to 3 days every year or so, and boasts a powerful stench when it blooms, earning the flower its putrid name. You're listening to KFI AM six forty wake Up Call with me Amy King on demand on the iHeartRadio apps. It's gonna be left on a day, Los Angeles, Srange County. It's time for your morning wake up call. Here's Amy King. It's actually good that we played that because that thing. This is KFI and KOSTHD two Los Angeles, Orange County. We have a certain window of time that we have to play that, and I think it played way too early today. It was outside our window of opportunity. So here's

what's ahead on wake up Call. It is five oh five. You're not getting started late. I actually got started early, so we're restarting. It's gonna be a day. The family of the man accused of killing in La County sheriff's deputy and Palmdale says he has paranoid schizophrenia. There are several reports the twenty nine year old has confessed to the killing. The crash site for the Stealth Fighter jet that went missing after the pilot ejected has been found about

two hours north of Joint based Charleston, South Carolina. The pilot who ejected is okay, but military officials are wondering how the heck they lost a one hundred twenty two million dollars fighter jet. A series of modern earthquakes have rattled the Central Valley. The first was a four point zero hit at five fifteen in Stanislaus County last night. The US Geological Survey says that was followed by

three point six and four point four quakes. Lost recordings of the Beatles are going to be auctioned off, but those are going to go for big, big bucks. At six oh five, it's handle on the news. We're gonna tell you why you might not be able to get your favorite Clorox products, and can we get Karen up? Yes we do. Okay, we're gonna say good morning to ABC's Karen Travers. Karen, you're gonna have to bear with us this morning. We've got gremlins all over the place. Sorry

about that, and not your fault. So now we just need you to entertain and enlighten us and tell us about. President Biden is making his big address to the UN General Assembly today. What's he expected to talk about? Yeah, it's coming up in about two hours. These things always tend to slide a little late, so I kind of don't hold your breath for that start time because of you, you're at the liberty of a speaker before you. But the President, according to White House officials, will be issuing a

descents of American leadership abroad, and he'll reiterate US support for Ukraine. It's gonna be a false road, a defense of American support for Ukraine, according to a White House official, and why that is so important not just for the US national security interests, but the idea of sovereignty and the sovereign nation being invaded. And the timing, of course is important because it comes as there is this fierce debate right now underway on Capitol Hill about funding for Ukraine.

Twenty four billion dollars is what the administration has asked for and what Congress is considering. You've got Republicans on the Senate side who are firmly in favor of that by partisan support there but a loud group of House Republicans who say,

no, this has to stop. We can't have a blank check and this is all going to be tied to the government funding site, which the deadline is coming up of September thirtieth, So a big amount of pressure right now on lawmakers and the President will be making a case today to a global audience, but also a message to Capitol Hill. Okay, so all of the funding that we have sent to Ukraine, has that been getting Congressional approval as it goes or so the President can't just say, hey, we're going

to send it. They have to run it by Congress each time. Yeah, new funding has to be approved by Congress. You know, they can do a thing where they can happen to existing stockpiles of like extra stuff, but things have to be authorized by Congress. You know. Congress controls the purse strings, as they like to say, so if the President wants to send money, Congress has to sign off on it. So everything so far

has had Congressional approval and has to continue with that going forward. This new request of twenty four billion dollars, the White House would like to see it done as soon as possible. And that's where this is all getting tricky because Congress also has to fund the government by September thirtieth. They have not yet done that. By that, you know, they have to do this every

September at the end of the fiscal year. Since there will be a short term agreement of some sort to punt, to kick the can down the road a little bit. Whether or not the Ukraine funding is part of that, that's what the big conversation is right now. And so McCarthy has like an idea, but the chances of getting the full on funding, what are the chances of that happening. You just mentioned the short term thing which they keep

doing, which is so frustrating that they do it every September. I mean, I can't think of a time when they actually, like you did, just the way it's supposed to be done by September thirtieth. There's always just a short term deal hunted to November or December, and then you know, the train speeds up so quickly in December because nobody wants to be here in December once the holidays are coming around, and everybody then quickly hurries up.

Or as we've seen in a couple of years, there actually was a government shutdown. So you know, I think we have seen some agreements reached amongst the House Republican caucus that did not have the funding for Ukraine in there.

That's dead on arrival in the Senate because the Senate's controlled by Democrats, and there were Republicans from the Senate side who say we have to have this funding, we need to keep supporting Ukraine. So it's all going to come to a boiling point over the next potentially ten days, two weeks, okay, And then Biden takes the stage to really make his bid that hopefully we'll shore up support for the funding for Ukraine, all right, and then we'll see

President Zelinsky in Washington on Thursday. He's visiting the White House to meet with the President, and then we'll be going to Capitol Hill to make his own whibbying case to lawmakers. Okay, Karon Travers, thank you so much, and thanks for baron with us, with our gremlins this morning. That it's going to be a day peers is better than our good luck. All right, thank you, Karen. Let's get back to some of the stories coming out of the KFI twenty four hour news room. A twenty nine year old

man has confessed to fatally shooting in La County. Sheriff's deputy in Palmdale, Sheriff Luna says after a swat team arrived, Kevin Salazar refused to come out of his home in Palmdale. Finally, early yesterday morning, Salazar surrender. All of our resources were entirely committed for this investigation. Thirty six hours later, in collaboration with our community, we have the person that we believe is responsible for the tragic murder of Ryan. On Saturday evening, Ryan Clinton Brewmer

was shot as he sat in his patrol suv at a red light. Luna says tips from the public led them to Salazar. Steve Gregory Knafi news Yeah, that's rocker. Marilyn Manson. He has pleaded no contest in New Hampshire to blowing his nose on a videographer. He was sentenced yesterday to twenty hours of community service. He was also fined a little more than fourteen hundred dollars

for the offense. In twenty nineteen, the judge agreed to let Manson serve his community service in California so he can blow his nose on more of us. Teamsters and lawmakers in Arcadia have urged governing Newsom to sign a bill that would preserve trucking jobs amid the rise of automated trucks Driver Missus dangerous. The bill requires automated semi trucks to have human operators Teamsters Local sixty three Vice president

Robert Terrell says he has safety concerns with automated trucks. Is some machine and you have computer glitchen and something can go wrong. Reps from SAGAFTRA, and WGA joined truckers to support the bill out of Teamster's rally in Arcadia yesterday. The bipartisan back bill passed overwhelmingly in the Assembly and state Senate in Arcadia. Blake Trolley k i I news California is stewing big oil, but not everyone

is on board. Republican state Senator Shannon Grove of Bakersfield says the lawsuit is misguided, just ridiculous. The state is taking legal action against five oil companies BP, Chevron, Conico, Phillips, Exxon, Mobil, and Shell, as well as the trade organization that represents them for their role in perpetuating climate change. The suit claims oil and gas executives are known for decades about the dangers of the fossil fuels they produce, but haven't done anything to fix it.

Grove says big oil isn't going anywhere anytime soon. People use things that are convenient and cheap and reliable, and oil products are cheap, reliable, inconvenient. California is seeking a clean up fund from the oil companies that will pay for recovery efforts for future damage of human caused climate change. Researchers in South Africa say the abundant great white shark population has moved from its longtime home

off the country's western Cape province to the eastern coastline. They say they believe it has to do with climate change and the availability of food. Two time Super Bowl change and Patrick Mahomes is getting a record paid a ESPN says Mahomes has agreed to a restructured deal with the Kansas City Chiefs that will pay him more than two hundred ten million dollars between now and twenty twenty six. The twenty eight year old previously signed a ten year, four hundred and fifty million

dollar extension with the Chiefs in twenty twenty. Well, that makes my head hurt. It's a lot a lot of money. Hey, they have Halloween time at Disneyland. If you had you know you were thinking about what you were going to do for the Halloween. But I have sad news for you, and that is that Space Mountain is going to be closed, so they do this ghost Galaxy overlay usually for the Halloween season, but this year Space Mountain has been closed. It's going to be closed for five weeks though,

through October twenty five for refurbishment. That's not very happy, do we have nick? Okay, hey, it National voter Registration Day. You just need to take thirty seconds to register to vote, or you can also check to make sure that your registration is good to go, like if you've moved, or you've turned eighteen, or you had a name change. And if you had a name change, maybe that means you got married, so congratulations. Of course, maybe it means you got divorced, so I'll take that back.

Okay. Anyway, it's super easy to register to vote. La vote dot gov. That's la vote dot gov. Do it today. Right now, let's say good morning to the host of How to Money. You're on KFI, Joel lars Guard. Good morning, Joel. Oh there, you know what, there was a little pause before you said good morning, and I like panicked because you don't know this. But we're having all kinds of fun technical issues throughout this morning on this show. So I'm glad you're here.

Okay, So let's talk about index funds real quick. Not all are created equal, but before you talk about not creating them equal, tell us about like give us the broad overview for the the financially challenged, Like me, what's an index fund? Yeah? So, an index fund is basically something you can invest inside of. It's something that I really, I really love as an investing strategy, and it's because it allows you to buy not

just a single stock invest in just a single company. You're investing in all the companies, right, And so there's like the S and P five hundred is one of the most classic index funds where you're tracking specifically the S and P five hundred, and the fees on those funds have gone down dramatically over the years. And when the fee goes down, that means more of the dollars that you're investing, more of every dollar you're investing is going to actually

buy the index fund instead of going to line somebody else's pockets. So it's good to see those funds continue to fall. Although I will say you have to pay attention still because depending on where you asked, that will determine what the fees are on the index fund that you're investing in. So if you're investing in one of my favorites like Vanguard, you're paying point zero three percent,

which is almost nothing. But if you're investing with one of the more expensive companies, you might see something ten x or twenty x that sort of cost. So how do you find that out? Is that information readily available? Like I said, I'm I'm so financially challenged, which is why I love talking to you, Like, I just kind of don't really manage my money that well. I mean, I'm good at saving it, but as far as like these investments, I'm not great at this. So how do

you find out? Yeah, so that's a great question. You should be able to You should be able to easily find out how how much that expect what that x called an expense ratio, right, And so when you go back into the back end of your of your investment account, you should be able to look up the specific index fund that you're interested in, and you

should be able to see what the expense rat show is. You can also go to a site like Morningstar dot com and morning Star does a great job of rating funds, and so you can go to Morningstar dot com and you can type in a fund, you're like, hmm, I'm not seeing it on the back end for some reason, or I'm having a hard time.

It's kind of buried. Well, you can go to morning Star and you can type in different funds and you can kind of see what morning Star thinks about those funds, and you can also kind of see associated with that fund. And the interesting thing is the morning Star ratings are actually morning Star did a study a few years ago and they said, our ratings are really important. But guess what's even more important. Low costs. Low cost funds are

more important than a five star morning Star rating. Okay, I'm going to check that out. Okay, now, let's talk about cell phone carrier promotions because a lot of people are offering us some goodies right now. Yes, So, the new iPhone, as we all know at this point, came out last week, was announced last week. It's really expensive. It's like twelve hundred bucks if you want the super fancy new titanium one. And the

carriers now are all about trying to get you in a new iPhone. They know that if they get you a new iPhone that you are going to be a sticky customer. You're going to stick around with them, and so they're they're creating these enticing promotions. Hey, if you trade in your old phone, we'll get you into that new iPhone fifteen that you are like, you desperately want. But the thing is, and the contracts don't exist in the

way that they used to for with wireless providers. But the thing is you can still if you really want the best deal, you're going to sign up for one of these carrier promotions and they're going to keep you around because if you really want the deal, you got to stick around for twenty four or

thirty six months. And so I prefer to see people either one not upgrade or to pay for the full price of the phone outright, which I know is very, very very expensive, but it's going to give you the best overall low cost for service and phone combined, going with one of the low cost carriers like Mint, Visible or Google five. Those are three of my

favorites. And then just buying your phone like you'd buy a laptop or something like that, right instead of kind of the subsidized weird model where carriers are trying to, you know, get you into their spider web instead doing it your own way is a better way to go. Okay, So if you're going to go buy your own phone, because I usually do, just go like to the AT and T store and get my phone there. And you want to have the low cost carrier? Can you buy it at the Apple

store? Can you buy it on Amazon? Can you kind of where can you get them? Yes? So you can buy it directly through Apple. You can buy it at the at Amazon as well. You can buy it use. You can buy a used model on eBay. I mean, there are all sorts of places to go. You can go on Facebook, Marketplace, find somebody who's you know, selling their iPhone twelve and you're saying, hey, listen, the iPhone twelve is still good enough for me. Let

me get that one firm. I don't know what they're going for, like three fifty or something like that, save myself so much money. And then you sign up for one of the these really low cost services. I mean, I'm on a Mintmobile plan that costs me fifteen dollars a month. And so when most people are paying, they see these carrier promotions and they're saying, oh, man, like I really want the new phone, and they're going to give it to me for free if I trade in this old phone.

But the thing is it's not actually free because you're paying more for service every single month, and so it attracts a certain kind of customer cracker who wants to save the most money over time. All right, Joel lars Guard, you're gonna help me save money whether I like it or not. Thank you so much for your time today, Joel. Okay, here's what we're

following in the KFI twenty four hour newsroom. The family of the man accused of killing an Ella County sheriff's deputy in Palmdale says he has paranoid schizophrenia and had stopped taking his meds. Apparently, the twenty nine year old has confessed to the killing of the sheriff's deputy in Palmdale. Over the weekend, the average price of a gallon of self serve regular gas in Ella County and in Orange County has topped six dollars for the first time since mid October. The

Ella County average is up eleven cents just today to six oh three. It's six oz two in Orange County. Elon Musk has hinted at a subscription fee for all users of his ex social media platform. He claims this subscription fee would be the only way to put a stop to bought accounts on the platform. At six oh five, it's handled on the news. The Republicans have a plan to avoid a government shutdown. Bill will tell you what it is

and whether it'll work. So I gotta tell you this stinks. We were out and about at the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino to see the infamous corpse flower. Those are those giant corpse flowers that when they bloom, they stink to high heaven. We caught up with botanical curator Brandon tam who showed us the gigantic bloom that they have named Stankasaurus rex. So this is an amazing plant. This is a Morphrofallus titanum,

which is a very fancy word, a very botanical fancy word. But it's commonly known as the corp flower. And the reason why it's called the corp flower because it smells like a dead carcass of an animal that you may find in the wild. How exciting. But I have to tell you, so it actually bloomed a couple of days ago. So for me. It's kind of a good thing. Is it doesn't smell like rotting flesh, right, No, exactly, but it's still is just fabulous. How how tall is

this? Like eight feet? Yeah? So we actually we measured this on a daily basis and it measured in at ninety three point seventy five inches on the day of the bloom, so quite quite tall. Truly an amazing specimen. And if you look at it, I mean just the design on it, the pattern, the smell, the fragrance, the size of it. I mean, all of these are atrophies that fascinate human being. The fragrance, I think it's funny that you call it a fragrance. Okay, So

how often do these things bloom? Yeah, so they bloom once every two to four years in cultivation, but in the wild once every four to six years. But thankfully, because we're in a greenhouse in the conservatory, we're able to give it ideals environments, give it a fertilizer to bloom more often, so that our visitors can see this amazing plant more often because it blooms so infrequently. Okay, And where in the wild would you find it? Yes, you can find them endemic to only Smatcha in Asia, so you

can only find it in that region of the world and nowhere else. And somebody had the idea, let's get this big, stinky thing and bring it over to the United exactly exactly. There's something about human fascination like things that are stinky, things that are big, and these are just one example. Okay, So speaking of stinky, this is the other corpse flower that just recently bloom. What's left of it? Correct, And you can see along the base I'm going to kind of point to it, or you can point

to it. Yeah, that's the actual flower. Yeah, so right down here, these are the actual flowers here. So at the very bottom these are the female flowers, and at the very top those are male flowers. So this plant has both male and female flowers flowers on the same structure here, and that's what makes it so unique. But the female flowers are only open for the first twenty four hours, and then the male pollen after that

twenty fourth hour will then start to dehess pollen. And the reason why they flower at different times so that it doesn't self pollinate to increase genetic diversity. Okay, so then it starts the whole process over again, it goes dormant, and then in a couple of years it's going to come up again, and I want it. There's one of the really cool thing. It's called the corpse flower because if it tracks bugs and stuff that thinks it's a rotting

corpse. And if you look at this, it's sort of the color of like something dead, like a dead animal or something. Yeah, exactly, it's the color of red. It's kind of showing that the dead kane carcass of an animal. And this is great because the offspring of flies and sweat bees will try to lay their eggs, so they have a source of food for that hatching of their offspring. Okay, so far this year we've had three blooms. Correct. How many of these corps flowers do you have in

here? Yeah? So the Huntington has around forty three in our collection, so quite a bit. And our whole goal was, because they bloom so infrequently, we want it as many as we could so that we have at least one bloom a year. Since the timing of this is very short, you can only see it for about twenty four hours and after that starts to fade away. A very short period of time. So by having forty three in a collection, it enables us to have at least one a year and

even more, just like this year we had a total of three. Okay, and we might have a snake preview. We don't know yet because it gets all confusing for my little brain. But it can either turn into a bloom or it can turn into that which looks more like a tree. Right, So exactly if we take a look at that, that's actually people think it's a tree, but it's actually one single leaf. This entire structure, this being the petio and the very top being leaf lit. But botanically speaking,

this is one single leaf and not a tree. Okay, And then we have to show you one other thing. And we're going to come about twenty feet away and show you another one of the Yeah, a morpha phallus titanium yep? Is that how you say? Exactly? Yeah, this is another one. And you don't know yet if it's going to be a bloom or a leaf. Correct, We don't know if it's going to be a leaf or it's gonna be a flower. We don't know because it's hard to

tell at the moment. But you know, that's then amazing thing about these clients is that you'll never know until a little closer to the actual cycle of it emerging out. Okay, so in a couple of weeks, you'll know which way it's going to go. And if it does turn into a bloom, wouldn't that be an extra treat. If it does turn into a bloom, how long would it be before that one blooms. It would take about a month and a half, about a month and a half, and that's

probably around the cycle that we'd expect. Okay, so stay tuned. You may be hearing from us more that there's another corpse flower at the Huntington. Thank you so much, Brendon dam This has been so educational and not too stinky, thankfully, thankfully. Okay, I've been hearing about the corpse flower for years, but I had never actually gone to see it. So it was really really interesting and if you get a chance, I highly recommend that

you do go see it now. During the interview, I was pointing the things and having him show me some things, So we wanted to make sure that we make that available for you. And you can check out my social my Instagram and also my Facebook but on my Instagram at Amy k King and also the KFI Instagram at KFI Am six forty. That's going to be posted today so you can check it out. It's really kind of cool and we'll let you know if that new growth does go on to bloom soak you can

see it yourself. Otherwise you're just gonna have to wait until next year to see the famous corpse flower. Let's get back to some of the stories coming out of the KFI twenty four hour newsroom. A California Highway Patrol officer has been involved in a shooting with multiple suspects in Compton. Police responded to a call of shots fired at eleven thirty last night. CHP says people at the scene smashed into the HP officer's car after trying to run over an officer who

was outside the vehicle. That's when the officer fired. The suspects took off. No arrests have been made. News brought to you by Sempers Solaris dot com. Sheriff Luna says a twenty nine year old man from Palmdale has confessed to the deadly ambush of a deputy. When the sheriff was asked about a motive. During a press conference yesterday, he said, I think everybody here

wants to know the answer to that. I have no doubt our homicide investigators will get to the bottom of why something that makes absolutely no sense occurred. Kevin Salazar was arrested at his home early yesterday morning after an hour's long standoff. Luna says numerous weapons were found inside the home and the suspected getaway car was parked outside. Gas prices in Southern California are rising even as demand for

fuel is dropping. The Auto Club of Southern California's Dug Shoop says several factors, including hurricane season, are contributing to the higher prices. This is a time of year when things really eat up, so if a major storm impacts the East Coast or the Gulf of Mexico, that of course could cause prices all across the country to move higher. Drivers in La and Orange Counties are

paying more than six dollars a gallon on average for regular unleaded fuel. The Auto Club says people should try to avoid excess idling and make sure tires are full to help save gas. A Jewish misuza in the er break room at Saint Joseph's in Orange County is meant to help overwhelmed workers leave stress at the door so that when you go home you can actually have mindful rest. Saint Joseph's Ear medical director Jim Lee says he pitched the idea to a sister on

the hospital board installed by a rabbi. Sister Sweeney's Catholic. I am a agnostic, and it doesn't matter what faith you belong to, says The ear is as slammed as it was during the height of the pandemic. It kind of also came from a little bit of ted lasts. So that tattered belief sign where you walk out the door. On top the sign, a rabbi Thursday blessed and installed the MISUSA in Orange. Corbin Carson, k if I

News. Right now, let's say good morning to ABC's Jim Ryan. Jim, my parents bought me a fake rolex in China, and apparently that was not a very good thing to do. What was it called rollos If it's ro olox and it's clearly not a rolex, and they're probably okay, that's that's a dupe, Okay, but that's not an actual counterfeit. Okay, So, but I did buy a fake Kate Spade on the streets of downtown

New York City. That's not so good if you if you knowingly bought it and it looks just like a real Kate Spade, that's a problem now, or the police can come and knock on your door. Probably not, but you should know that you're helping to contribute to massive losses to the retail industry.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development has said that fake goods make up about three point three percent of world trade, So three point three percent of the goods that are purchased and sold out there are not what they purport to be, about five hundred and nine billion dollars, including that Kate Spade purse that you bought in New York City. Well, I will stay on my defense. Did it said Kate Spade? And who am I to tell if

it's not Kate Spade even though it's sitting there on the street. Well, that's that's your big tip off where it's being sold, how much it's being sold for. A cake Spade goes for what four hundred, five hundred bucks. I think for some of the particular purses. If you bought yours for thirty or forty bucks tops, then you know that it's a fake. You know where it's being sold on the street, how much it's being sold for.

You can look at the stitching and look at the label, you know, the little shields on there, to see if they look as they're supposed to look. And very often you can spot those fakes. And again I mean purchasing a fake good like that or a fake merchandise. There's a bad thing counterfeit. But counterfeits are different from dupes. Amy. Dupes are the things that are being promoted so heavily on places like TikTok. Influencers are purchasing

dupes now the dozen, say Kate Spade. It might look like a Kate Spade, but it's going to cost a whole lot less. And a lot of folks on social media see purchasing things like that as a way of filming their nose at Corporate America, you know, or or or turning their back or making a statement about high fashion. So there is a difference between dupes and counterfeits. It's counterfeits that are costing so much money and so many jobs. By the way, yeah, okay, so if it's if it looks

too good to be true, it is most likely Okay. So and I will say I'm going to say, in my defense, this was over twenty years ago, and uh we were on a little tourist you know, our tourist trip to New York City like today, I would never buy a fake paid Kate Spade knowingly. So I'm wondering, though, how many people are buying fakes or dupes unknowingly because so much is online. I mean, how

do you know? How do you have that authenticity? And that's why this is still this is why a story now because with the with the surgeon, online merchandise or online retailing, this is seeing a major increase. The incidence of counterfeiting has grown like tenfolds since the year two thousand. What's happened since then? Amazon has happened, you know, a whole host of other smaller online retailers have happened, and it's very difficult for them to police every single

seller that they have on their site. So that's where this all is coming from. So it's impossible to tell me that exactly is being lost because of this whole thing, But it's online trade that has really generated this whole cottage industry and in faiths and frauds. Does Amazon try to make sure that things are authentic? It does, and they try to vet the sellers of the products that they're offering on their website, and so do some of the other

big retailers. Like that used to be up to the retailers, or to the merchandisers themselves, or to the producers of these items. So let's say the genuine Kate Spade company, they're very concerned about their trademark and about their brand identity, and so they have whole staffs of people who go out and find these things either online or at recture jobs or they're having to be sold and try to rain that in. But a lot of those companies, those

merchandisers don't have the resources now. They're barely holding on after the pandemic. So not only did did the pandemic increase online merchandizing or online retail, it also took away some of the profits to the legitimate company, so they can't really afford to police those things now. Okay, and then one last this is how you're you're talking about how the companies are trying to protect their you

know, their revenues and their products and that kind of stuff. As a consumer, how do you protect yourself to make sure that you don't get a bogus product when you think you're buying the real things. Well, again, the price. You know that the Cakespade you purchased there probably on Canal Street, New York. It was undoubtedly much less than it would have been otherwise.

Look at the seller, look at the products origin online. You can trace that back and see who the seller was and whether this is a legitimate person. You know, go into the seller's background and look out, you know, fake reviews. Or another way, if some product has sixty or seventy reviews, start looking down at the number fifty or number fifty one, fifty two. A lot of times the review there, if it's a big, glowing review, probably has nothing to do with the product that it's associated

with. Ah, Okay, so let the buyer beware. I won't ever I promise I will never buy a fake Kate Spade again. Okay, all right, thank you so much for your sister in law, by the way, who who purchased a Kate Spade purse for my wife? Right, yeah, her sister and my wife loved it, except it wasn't right color. She takes it back to the store and says, hey, can I get a different color in this? They said, sure, if it were a

real Kate Spade. They haven't spoken since. Okay. So, not only can it damage the economy, it can damage your familial relationships, Rick families.
