You're listening to KFI AM six forty wake Up Call with me Amy King on demand on the iHeartRadio app k f I and KOST HD two Los Angeles and Orange County. And you haste Amy. Okay, it's five o'clock. Good morning. This is your wake up call for Tuesday, November twenty, first two days to Thanksgiving. I think today is supposed to be the busiest travel day of the years. People are leaving early, hitting the road, and

of course Triple A has been saying they're expecting record travel. But you know what I noticed, You know when the ten is now open again, thank goodness, the downtown, but it was closed for eight days and so you know, they were encouraged people to take public transit or work from home. And I will tell you that when I leave the station, I usually hit traffic on the five, which is between eleven and twelve thirty. When I head home, I usually hit traffic. But last week there was like no

traffic as a headed tourd down to town. So people were heating the warning. And then yesterday the freeways open and guess what, back to the traffic. So we got to do something really fun yesterday. You know, that we're doing Pastathon at the Anaheim White House next Tuesday. I'm giving Tuesday, the twenty eighth, So we went down there to talk to Chef Bruno and some of the people involved, because you know, the whole station is involved.

We're going to be broadcasting live at the Anaheim white House all day starting at five am on Tuesday. I hope you'll join us for that. But we went down there and Chef Bruno was doing something yesterday. It's called snow Day, such a cool thing. So it's eighty degrees out and Bruno trucked in snow into the back parking lot and he brings some of the kids from the boys and Girls clubs that he feeds every day for a party. So

they got a meal at the white House. I mean, like oh, and it was a nice meal because I tasted just a little of the pasta, but they had like full Thanksgiving meal. And then the kids had bounce houses and they got to play and they got to go sledding, and it was so cool because, like I said, it was eighty degrees and there's snow, and Bruno was telling us that some of these kids have never seen

snow like in real life. You know, seen it on TV, so it was really cool and it's just one of the many really great things that Chef Bruno does as he manages to feed twenty five thousand children a week with Katerina's Club, So very cool experience. We hope that you will join us for pasta than we'll tell you more about that in just a little while. And again, it's going to be a big day, but we couldn't do it without you, so do join us. Here's what's ahead on wake up

call. Strong sant Ana wins expected to blow through southern California through midday. GUS between forty five and sixty five miles per hour expected in Mountain Valley and coastal areas. Augusta in the Santa Clarita Valley yesterday was clocked at one hundred and thirty miles per hour. The head of hamasa's political bureaus is the two

the group is nearing what it's calling a truce. The response delivered to officials in Qatar who've been mediating for the release of hostages between Israel and the United States. Any possible deal is expected to include the exchange of hostages for Palestinians held in Israeli prisons. Some environmentalists are fighting efforts to plant thousands of sequoia seedlings in areas burned by wildfire in National parkland in the southern Sierra Nevada.

No wahi would that do that well? They filed the lawsuit, saying that the replanting would be done in designated wilderness areas where human intervention is banned. They also say the groves of sequoias destroyed in the fire can regenerate on their own. At six oh five, it's handle on the news a surprise visit to Quisve from the US Secretary of Defense. Why he'd go there and what Ukraine gets out of it. Let's get started with some of the stories coming

out of the KFI twenty four hour newsroom. We're just getting warned that two LAPED officers have been hit by a vehicle on the northbound fifty seven freeway in Fullerton. Both were taken to hospitals. We'll get more details to you as more comes in. Massive excavators and water trucks have begun deconstructing a seventeen story tall World War two blimp Hager in Testin that was destroyed by five This is going to be sort of longer process than I think a lot of folks expect.

Tustin Mayor Austin Lombard says the first step is clearing debris from office complexes that line the hangar, then deconstructing the huge hangar doors. We're going to take them apart, piece by piece, so you're not going to see a sort of wrecking ball out there knocking these things down. But the massive stone pillars could remains a sentiment among the community of trying to keep some sort of monument to the hangar. We thought the concrete pillars could be a nice touch,

he says. The water trucks are meant to keep the asbestos out of the air. The fire started two weeks ago in Orange County. Corbin car and kf I News. White House National Security Spokesman John Kirby says the administration is working hour by hour on a deal to free hostages held by Hamas and Gaza. We believe we're closer than we've ever been, so we're hopeful, but there's still work to be done, and nothing is done until it's all

done, so we're going to keep working on this. He wouldn't give details about negotiations. He said, the less the better. Two Israeli sources have said a deal could be announced as early as today. The UC system is dedicated seven million dollars to combat extremism on its campuses. It says the intent is to fight what it calls the alarming acts of bigotry, intolerance, intimidation,

including anti Semitism and Islamophobia. The money will go toward emergency mental health resources for students and staff, educational programs, and faculty training with an emphasis on academic freedom, diversity, and equity. Now, ABC's Mike Debuski, Mike sam Altman was fired from Open Air on Friday. The CEO immediately quit, and now there could be a mass exodus. Yeah, it seems that

way. So at last count, more than seven hundred of open AI's employees have now signed onto this letter threatening to resign if the board of that company does not itself resign, so essentially saying we're going to quit if you don't. And of course this comes in light of a really climactic few days at open Ai. As you mentioned, sam Altman was fired. The CEO of that company was fired on Friday by the company's board that board, saying that

Altman had not been consistently candid with them no longer. That is the huge question hanging over all of this. No one really seems to know an answer as to why Sam Altman was fired beyond this sort of cryptic and vague blog post. In fact, Saxia Nadella, who is the CEO of Microsoft, who yesterday announced that they were planning to hire Sam Altman to run an AI division within that company, he did a round of interviews and said he didn't

know why Sam Altman was fired. The CEO of Microsoft, a major investor in open Ai, no idea why he was let go and why he was let go in the way that he was. Again, this was a very sudden and very unexpected move from the board of open Ai. Let a lot of people in the tech world with their jaws on the floor because open i had been doing really, really well. They're the makers of chat GPT, which is just about a year old as we're speaking right now. Two million

developers are building things with their tools. Ninety two percent of Fortune five hundred companies use its products. One hundred million people use chat gpt every week. This was a company that was a rocket ship. But suddenly that rocket ship was left without a pilot Amy, and it left a lot of people asking the question of why we still just don't have a really good answer for that.

I think it's a pretty impressive sign about Altman and maybe his leadership that that many employees they're saying, yeah, bring him back or we're gone. So our best guess is that about seven hundred and seventy people in total worked at open Ai. So this is the wo'sty of this company. Yeah,

it's pretty much everybody. And so yesterday Microsoft announced that they were planning to hire Sam Altman, and as part of the round of interviews that the CEO of Microsoft was doing, Satinnadella was doing, he said that there's room at Microsoft for these employees to come over if they want to. Essentially, the takeaway from Satia Nadella's speaking yesterday was that he's cool either way, right, He's fine if Sam Altman joins Microsoft and brings the rest of the company with

him, he's cool. If they renegotiate and Sam Altman goes back to open Ai, you know, with some changes, because again these two companies are pretty closely linked, and you know from Satinnadella's perspective, he is either acquiring pretty much ninety five percent of the company without you know, really raising a finger, without a hospital takeover, without a hostile takeover, without billions of dollars and months of negotiations and you know, figuring out anti trust problem like

he's just essentially hired them, or you know, he goes back sam Altman, goes back to open Ai and they continue their partnership as normal. So you know, Mic is up kind of in the best position here, it seems like. But again it's it's really interesting some corporate maneuvering. Going on. Another detail I'll share with you Amy, is that on that list of employees who you know are calling on the board to resign is this guy, Ilia Sutskifer, who many thought led the charge at open Ai to get rid

of Sam Altman. Now he's signing on to this letter saying if the board doesn't resign, he's going to quit and go join sam Altman. Okay, this is furthering my conspiracy theory because if the guy who was trying to get him out apparently is mad that he's trying to get him out and wants the board gone and nobody knows why, and they're using this ambiguous language. My thought is that Ai I actually fired him and is taking over. That was

what I was saying yesterday. Again, you know this is a joke, but you know that's that's you know, chat GPT has become self aware and like we're just trying to cover it up. Yeah. I watched the new Mission Impossible last night. It's affecting my thinking here, I think. But yeah, that's that works. No word on whether they asked chat GPT what to do, though, I guess we'll have to just wait and see. All Right, Wow, this is crazy. Okay, well we're going to

keep watching it. Thanks for letting us know what's up. That's craziness, of course, Amy, take care, all right, you too. Let's get back to some of the stories coming out of the KFI twenty four hour newsroom. The HPECE organized retail theft task Forces. It has recovered more than sixty thousand dollars in stolen merchandise and three stolen cars during a state wide operation. One hundred and thirty seven people were arrested during the large scale operation that

happened on November third. The operation included police from southern California, the Bay Area, the Inland Empire, and parts of the Central Valley. Police have shot and killed a man who had barricaded himself in a house in up Well, and the standoffs started yesterday when deputies tried to serve a search warrant at the home. The guy inside refused to come out and took some shots at deputies. A SWAT team was called and people in surrounding homes were ordered to

get out. Thought of my neighbor right across the street from me, because I know, yes, small children who were probably home because Thanksgiving. Thanks Giving a weekend. I got a hold of him. I told him to come to my house and try to get all my neighbors out. I knew you'd madly something was wrong. Hours later, the house caught fire and explosion was heard. The man then came out of the house with a gun and that's when he was shot. A woman's been arrested on suspicion of murdering her

seventy eight year old mother in Huntington Beach. Police responded to a nine to one one call at a home early last Friday morning where a woman was standing at the door. Police found her mother dead inside. The daughter was booked on one count of murder. Detectives would not give details on how the elderly woman died or who called nine to one one. LA City Councilman Kevin Daleone has set up a resource center for businesses impacted by the closure around downtown La

on the ten. Business Owners who go to the center can connect with different city and county agencies to get help. Director of the La Downtown Industrial Business Improvement District, the Stella Lopez, says the impact area is home to many food distribution centers. It was a logjam through here and you had these enormous trucks that were stuck because of the closure. So this area just ground to a halt. Official say they'll use feedback from business owners at the resource center

to consider a possible grant program in La Blake Trolley. K if I News. The CDC's issued a warning involving fruits from a farm near Fresno. ABC's Alex Stone says a lasteria outbreak has been documented in seven states, including California, because of peaches, nectarines, and plums from HMC farms. The CDC reports to eleven infections and one death. The CDC says the products are no longer for sale in stores, but people should check their kitchen or their freezers.

HMC Farms recalled fruits sold between May first and November fifteenth, when the FDA found the bacteria in the peaches. Okay. New report out on car theft not good news. Remind you to not leave anything in your car and lock your doors. In just the last month, two three hundred and ninety four cars and trucks and SUVs were reported stolen in the city of La That's

the highest monthly total since at least twenty ten. Car theF started rising in LA shortly after the pandemic started, and then they might have reduced a little bit, but didn't really dramatically come back down. Through October thirty first of this year, the count of stolen cars twenty one thousand and forty three. What cars are being taken, it's the old standards. There's the twenty fifteen

Kia Optima. There's Hondas and also Hyundais along with Chevy Silverado's crazy Fifty three percent of the car stolen in California were taken in southern California and in La Orange Riverside, San Bernardino and San San Diego counties. Oh and just so you know, the most most stolen vehicles per neighborhood, Downtown LA is number one, Westlake is two, Boyle Heights is three. Van Nuss four in Koreatown is five. So again, lock your doors. Not that that's going

to help. I don't know what's going to help at this point, because that's a lot of cars. Man. Police are searching for a group of robbers who ransacked a Nike community store in South la Seventeen people between the ages of fifteen and twenty were involved in the flash mob robbery. They got away in five different getaway cars on Sunday night with about twelve thousand dollars with the merchandise Carthf's in La as we were just talking about, have hit their highest

level in almost fifteen years. Last month, almost twenty three hundred ninety four cars were stolen in the city. That's the highest monthly total since twenty Circle k is offering a forty percent off gas discount this afternoon, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday rush. The company says it's their way of giving thanks to their customers. The fuel Day pop up is happening from four to seven this afternoon forty percent off, and car washes are also half off all day.

At six oh Five's handle on the news, Qatar's hinting a deal for the release of some of the hostages held by Hamas will be announced soon, could happen as soon as today. We'll keep you posted on that one. Let's say good morning to the host of How to Money on KFI, Joel Larsgard. Joel. With the holidays, we need your advice and insight more than ever. Hey, I'm here. However I can help, I'll do it well. Black Fridays three days away, So let's start with that.

I mean, everybody's waiting for deals, but I'm seeing like they're like Target has already started offering them, and Walmart has already started offering them. So what are we going to find as far as great deals this year? Oh? Yeah, Like so I'm actually doing a Black Friday special here on the station. But the truth is, so many of the deals really are already here. And Black Friday used to be a day, right, and then

it bled into Thanksgiving, and now it's this season long deal's extravaganza. And that's both good and bad because you don't have to go in the store anymore, which is nice, but you're also tempted to spend for weeks on end it deals continually pulling at your wallet. So it's like this, It's this double edged sword where yeah, you can find some great deals right now and you don't have to leave the comfort of your own home, but at the

same time, you just have to be careful because it's easy. It's so much easier to overdo it when Black Friday turns into a week's long extravaganza. Okay, so should we fall back to what you and I have talked about before that with heading into the holidays, you should probably set your budget now. So even though there are those great deals that go, eh, am I gonna blow everything on this deal? Or do I wait? Or how should we best prepare for this? Yeah? I mean, for sure you

should have a list. I don't think you need to feel compelled to buy for every single person in your family and who you haven't seen in twelve years or something like that, who you're randomly going to get together with this year. I think sometimes people feel obligated or guilty about the amount of folks they

need to show up for and how much they need to spend. And the truth is, there are all sorts of ways to show you care by spending a little or by spending nothing at all, but just make sure you kind of have that budget laid out, because the truth is something like one in four people are still paying, like we talked about last week, I think, for what they spent on the holiday season last year, which is just a scary place to be. And the truth is, there's just so many

ways to enjoy the holidays without spending bukoos of dollars. And I think we put all this pressure on ourselves and we fail to enjoy the season for what it is. Too. All this money and spending and stuff gets in the way of kind of the real deal what actually matters about this tiny year. Well, I agree with you, but we still do want to talk about this stuff. Yeah, you still want to get the deals right, So I think that's really important to mention you do now is the time to buy

the stuff if you want a deal. And so I want to mention a couple of sites that I think are the best for tracking deals. There's one called deal News, There's one called slick Deals, and those are the two tops in my opinion. And the great thing is if you're looking for something in particular, they have a search bar or categories right so you can drill down and see, Okay, what are the best tech deals right now?

Or I'm actually looking for an Apple Watch and you can type that in and so you can kind of or I'm looking for a Nintendo Switch and you know, the disc We haven't seen a lot of discounts on that, but we have seen bundles which you're adding at least you're getting games included and stuff like that. So if you know what you're looking for, these sites can be incredibly helpful. And even if you're just kind of browsing, they can be

helpful for that too. But yeah, like we're seeing discounts on Apple gift cards and stuff like that. Some of the gift card deals are actually pretty strong right now. And Target always when you wait, if you wait till December, second and third, you're gonna get ten percent off Target gift cards. So those are sites kind of on if you're looking to keep up to

speed on where the deals are and how good they are. Okay, and I just ran across this one and I don't know that it would give it to somebody or maybe keep it. Maybe it's a good deal for yourself. But Max has a Black Friday sale. The streaming service, yeah yeah, they cut their rates seventy per month for six months. This is one of my favorite things actually to tell people to consider because we've seen massive inflation on

what streaming costs right like so much it's not even funny. And the deals on streaming and on cell phone. So if you're like I was gonna sign up for Hulu anyway or Max or whatever or Disney Plus, the deals right now on those are really really good, Like you were talking significant amount of So Hulu it's ninety nine cents a month for a whole year, and then you can add on Disney Plus for two bucks. So you're talking about three

dollars a month for two of the main streaming services. That is a really good deal, and that's going to save you a bundle versus what you'd normally pay. Another great deal that most people are probably overlooking is like cell phone service. I love, Like, if it's something you're gonna buy anyway, but you can just get it at a much cheaper price now is the perfect time to do that. And so like mint Mobile, which is one of

my favorites, they're like basically the cheapest anyway. But they have their Black Friday sale going on right now, which means if you sign up for Mint Mobile, you're buying three months and you're getting three months free. And so given how cheap those plans are already to begin with, this is like a slam dunk significantly awesome deal that most people. If you're paying more than twenty five bucks a month for cell phone service, you should totally look into it.

Twenty five bucks a month and paying like six times that I know. Well, so the new stats came out about how much the average cell phone

bill is. It's one hundred and nineteen dollars a month. I was shocked to see it because from where I'm sitting, I'm always seeing these discount cell phone providers that are known as mv and o's Mobile Virtual Network Operators, and so I'm looking at these guys and they keep cutting prices, but it turns the big guys keep raising prices, and so there's a bigger gap than ever

between what people are paying and what you can pay. It's kind of like the high old savings account thing where most people just kind of inertia bias, they stick with the big bank when what they should have done was moved to one of my favorite online banks. And so there's just a massive gap between

what people can earn and what most people are earning. Well, the same is true in the cell phone space, and so if you are paying north of one hundred bucks, I mean, think about how significant the savings are if you move down to fifteen or twenty a month, and most people think, oh man, I'm going to be giving up so much to go with the discount cell phone service. Well, the New York Times had a ride

up this week and they're finally getting on board. I've been talking about this for like close to a decade, and the New York Times finally said, no, these services are just as good as the other ones. And it's true. They are. They have been, and so for most folks who are nervous. The great thing is there's free trial periods for these nbnos. So you can try Mint Wireless for free for seven days and you don't even

have to cancel your old service. You can literally just like get the e sim on your phone, try it out and if it doesn't work, if you're like, wait a second, no, this service isn't as good and I'd rather pay full price with one of the big guys, then you can stay put. But if it works, you're just going to save a ridiculous amount of money. And think of all the money that you save that you

could spend on holidays. See, and then you can feel a little bit better even about buying that deal for yourself, right, not as much guilt over your head to save money. In another way, Yeah, because my cell phone is around that average. And if I can get meant for twenty bucks or thirty bucks or even forty bucks a month and get the same service, why wouldn't you Well, I will say this, they don't charge forty bucks a month. I'm sorry, Amy, that's that's a little too rich

for their blood. Really. Oh yeah, no, So their cheapest plan is fifteen bucks a month. You pay for three months or a year in advance, but it's only going to save you a ridiculous amount of money. I'm on the cheapest plan there, which is the fifteen dollars a month five gigs a month plan. But if you need more data, you can go to the twenty dollars a month, fifteen giga month gigabyte plan. So, and I'm telling you it works just as good as the regular the regular Cel

phone providers, the big ones that you see advertising all over TV. So, and you can keep your phone number. Yeah, keep your phone now a me. It's easy, it's a switch, it's twenty minute, sort of an ordeal. It's pretty chill. Okay, you've convinced me. Joel d thank you so much, love all the information that you share. And like you mentioned, we're going to do a special feature with you on Black Friday. And of course you can listen to Joel Sundays from noon to two

right here on KFI. You can follow him on Instagram at how to Money Joel. Thank you, Joel. Happy Thanksgiving, Thanks Amy, Happy Thanksgiving to you all right. Strong sant Ana wins expected to blow through southern California through about midday. Gus forty five to sixty five miles an hour may be seen in Mountain Valley and coastal areas. Augusta in the Santa Clarita Valley yesterday

was clocked at one hundred thirty miles per hour. The head of Hamas's political Bureau is saying the group is nearing a truce that means a deal to exchange hostages that were taken by Hamas for Palestinians held in Israeli prisons could be close. Guitar is hinting that an announcement could be made as soon as today. We'll be watching. Researchers in California are expanding their mission to find aliens.

The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute in Mountain View was just given a two hundred million dollar grant to see if they can find any form of life beyond Earth. At six oh five at Tendl on the News, gas prices could hit their lowest level in years this Thanksgiving at five point fifty. If you just can't bear the thought of cooking a Thanksgiving dinner, there is still time to get someone else to do it for you. We'll tell you about that right

now. Let's say good morning to ABC's Inez de la Quittera. Good morning, Inez. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin made a surprise visit to Ukraine yesterday and came bearing gifts. Hey, good morning. That's right, yeah, So Defend Secretary Lloyd Austin making a surprise visit to Kiev wrapping up his surprise visit

to Ukraine. Clear just what he would be doing there, the PENTAGONA had said he would be meeting with Ukrainian officials and reemphasizing the US's support for Ukraine, and we did see him meeting with the Ukrainian President of Velenski saying that the message he was bringing was that the US would stand with Ukraine and would

remain with Ukraine for the long haul. And this of course comes as the US has also been busy with everything going on in Israel, but often they're essentially telling Zelenski that Ukraine has not forgotten that the US continues to stand with Ukraine. And like you say, the big headline was that he announced a new security package for Ukraine, a new package of one hundred million dollars. It's worth pointing out though, that that is actually one of the smallest packages

received by Ukraine to date. The White House has been saying that money for Ukraine is beginning to run out as Congress grows increasingly divided over whether to continue providing more aid for Ukraine. And what is this aid package going to provide? Yeah, so as far as where the money is going to go. We understand it's going to be so it's going to be used to send one

high mobility artillery rocket systems and known as a high MARS system. There's going to be additional ammunition as well, a Singer anti aircraft so several Singer anti aircraft missiles as well as cold weather gear as we head in, two winter demolition munitions to clear obstacles, and more than three million rounds of small arms

ammunition, amongst other things. That those are probably the highlights here. And yeah, so this is you know, I think it's interesting to note that some of this is specifically geared towards winter, and also that there's more than three million rounds of small arms ammunition also interesting and seems to indicate that the fighting in Ukraine has maybe changed a little bit over the last few months.

Yeah, and it's so crazy because we just don't hear much about it, and that war rages on, but everybody's got their focus on is and so it's like Ukraine, we just forget because it's not top of mind. And as I was curious about the aid package because one of the concerns of a lot of like lawmakers, any in general people are saying, well, we're giving Ukraine all this money and we don't specifically know what it's being used for.

This one hundred million dollars sounds very specific. Is that? Is that always how it is? Or is it in the past we've just said it said, here's the money, allocated, how you want it, or have we been directing how it's used. We've been a concern that that, you know, it's unclear exactly where the money goes, and it's unclear how much longer we can kind of keep this up for. But in this case,

yeah, you're right, it is very uh specific. They have announced you know, everything that that's going to be provided as part of this package. Often you know, also said that he does see bipartisan support in both chambers of Congress for Ukraine. He says he knows there's things that they need to work through to get supplement mental requests approved, but that they're going to continue to do that. They're going to continue working with members of Congress to answer

all their questions. But yeah, I I mean, that's a that's a great question. It might be I hadn't you know so much picked up on that, but maybe it is, you know, in response to to the criticism from lawmakers that they're now being very specific when they make those announcements regarding these these aid packages. Okay, And one last question is the one hundred

million dollars that Austin announced yesterday. Is that part of the one hundred and six billion the Biden administration wants for Ukraine and Israel and border in Taiwan or is this a separate thing. So we know that the White House is going to be pushing for for additional aid to Ukraine. But as you know, again this issue with the divisions in Congress some lawmakers you know, debates over over spending bills, that they're having a hard time getting those additional requests approved.

And the White House, you know again had said that that many for Ukraine is beginning to run out, so they're certainly pressuring lawmakers to try and free up more money there for Ukraine. So you know they're going to keep working on that, but for now that an additional one hundred million dollars that is part of this money is that is eventually running out. Yeah, okay, And as dealer Quizira, thanks so much for all the information, and

we look forward to talking to you again soon have a happy Thanksgiving. Thank you you too. All right, let's get back to some of the stories coming out of the KFI twenty four hour newsroom. As we told you a little bit ago, two LAPD officers have been hurt in a crash. A little more detail. So Thanksgiving just two days away, and if the idea of cooking a big Thanksgiving dinner has got you too stressed to

think straight, there are some places that can help. Of course, it comes at a price, but lots of restaurants have ready made Thanksgiving And I'm I actually think this is a great idea because sometimes you just don't feel like cooking in the you know, it's a daunting task. It's an all day thing, and if you just you've been working really hard and you go, nope, not doing it. Martha Stewart's not cooking a turkey this Thanksgiving.

She said, she's going to go to friends' houses. But here are some places that you can go to. And I know that Nick has been researching this too, and it's not all traditional Thanksgiving too, But like Buca di Beppo is an Italian place, but they sell both heat and serve and ready to serve traditional turkey dinners. You can also add on things like spicy Italian stuffing, baked zd and meatballs if you want to switch it up just a

little bit. And the prices range from like one hundred and five dollars for three people to one hundred sixty for six, So if you do one hundred and sixty for six, that's like thirty thirty five bucks a person. Seems high, but they're doing all the cooking, they're taking care of it for

you. Another one black angus they have to go Turkey dinners that started one hundred and three dollars and ninety five cents for a family of four, and they go up to almost up to twelve people, and you pick it up up like the day before, and then you reheat it and present it on the day. I think some of them have Thanksgiving Day pickups, but a lot of them have you picking up before. And a lot of these meals

you do need to order in advance. And I think Nick and I were talking yesterday and you said the deadline for a lot of them is today, correct, So if you at least get the order intoday, you can usually do a pick up some of them because some of the businesses are closed on Thanksgiving themselves, so they have to be picked up tomorrow. But yeah, you usually sometime around noon today. But I mean there's so many places on top of everything you've talked about. Amy. Even some of our local little

more family chains like Polly's Pies has them. Did they have a whole dinner or is it just desserve? Yes, no, you can do the whole thing. So Polly's Pies not only has all your baked good needs, but you can also take a heat and serve meal with them. There's a couple of locations, some of them have closed, but they're still available. Hoffs

Hut. There's still some of those locations that are available. Even Cracker Barrel out in Fontana, you can still get ahead if you want to do something for that, you can swing by and get a heat and serve meal for up to ten people. Kids can still be done. So yeah, there's a lot locally, there's a lot. And have you have you guys tried Corkis. I've only been to the one in Rancho Kukumonga because it was down the street from where my best friend lived and on certain Sunday mornings, we

go screw it, we're not cooking. We're going to Corkys. They make a massive breakfast and the place is always packed. I bet their Thanksgiving is fabulous and they are one of the ones offering it, so they've got a heat and serve turkey dinner. It's one hundred and twenty five bucks for six people, so that's less than twenty five bucks a person. You do need to get it ordered like by today, because they're saying forty eight hours in

advance, so I'm hoping that that gives you some time. And then a couple other places, Cocoa's Bakery Restaurant has it Dicky's Barbecue Pit, and they have good well and they have some options for you, including like a ten to twelve person feast, and instead of just regular traditional delicious turkey, you can have smoked turkey, cage and turkey, or you can get ham in prime rib if you're just not a turkey person, and one more real quick

amy to throw in there. Even a fast food places, Popeyes, they have a Cajun style turkey that you can pick up as well as all the sides all right, And of course at KFI Our favorite place or a takeout on Thanksgiving is Tali Ran, which is right down the street in Burbank, and management always they're really generous and for the staff who has to work on Thanksgiving, they generally provide us with the Thanksgiving meal and we always get it

at tali Ran and they've got stuff that you can just go pick it up on the day of, So lots of options if you don't feel like cooking. Let's get back to some of the stories coming out of the KFI twenty four hour newsroom. So cal Edison says so far this year, scammers have stolen more than a quarter million dollars from customers. Official say it works like

this. Scammers email or text someone threatening to cut off service unless they make an immediate payment, and because most people are caught off guard, they usually click the included link or QR code and send payment. Officials say they've logged more than twenty seven hundred fraud cases, totaling two hundred

fight with another driver. That guy ran away after the crash, but was caught and arrested for misdemeanor hit and run, battery, and DUI charge has been filed against a man who allegedly pointed a gun at a school administrator in West Hollywood. Prosecutors say Vahi Arman drove on the campus of Larchmont Charter Elementary Thursdays kids were being dropped off. They say he took out what looked like an assault rifle, pointed it at the administrator, and took off. Police

later recovered the gun. It turned out to be a replica. Arman is being held on five million dollars bail. I'm giving up smoke rapper Snoop Dogg obviously wasn't talking about weed when he posted on social media. Of course, he took us all, we all bit into it, he said, he

was giving up smoke. The words were posted over an image of Snoop with his hands in a prayer like position, even us for privacy during this time, and he followed it up with a new post this week, done with the call for I'm a close smelling all sticky ichy, I'm going smokeless. It's clothes smelling all sticky ichy. Ye. So the new post has been pitching a smokeless fire pit. Snoop is the official smokesman for the solo stove Bad Dog.
