You're listening to KFI AM six forty wake Up Call with Me Amy King on demand on the iHeartRadio app KFI and KOST HD two Los Angeles, Orange County. It's time for your morning wake up call. Here's Amy King. Good morning, it's five o'clock. This is your wake up call for Friday, December first, twenty four days till Christmas. I'm Amy King. So glad you're waking up with us today. You know, I didn't even need an

alarm this morning. I don't know if it's blowing at your house, but man, the winds were blowing at about two twenty five this morning and woke me right up, so I didn't even need the alarm. We're expected to have winds kind of off and on through the day, but not anything too severe. But there are wind advisories. You might want to batten down the hatches a little bit. Okay, you can't see this because you're in the radio. I have a blister on my lip. You know why. No,

because I tried to be a chef. I was so proud of myself because I learned how to brown butter, and so I was making I was making nookie and wanted to put a little brown butter sauce on it, and so it was just the bright, perfect color and I went, oh, wow, that looks great. And so I, you know, took the spoon out of the pan and thought, oh, I'll just taste it and like it was hot. Oh of course. Yeah. It's like okay, no to self, be careful, Chef Amy. Oh, we forgot to

give away. Not we, it's me. I forgot to give away the tickets to LightScape twenty twenty three. We talked to Michael Beth's planes from LightScape at the La Arboretum yesterday and they were very generous and gave us some tickets to give away. So we'll give those away. This so be listening really a cool thing to do as you get ready for the holidays. Let's get

started. Here's what's ahead on wake up Call. The seven day truce between Israel and Hamas has ended, thirty minutes after Israel resumed fighting in the Gaza Strip. US Secretary of State Antony Blincoln pushed for the ceasefire to be extended during a visit to Israel yesterday, but Prime Minister Benjamin Natanyahu said Israel swore

to eliminate Hamas and nothing will prevent that from happening. La Mayor Bass's Inside Safe Initiative has put just two hundred and fifty five homeless people into permanent housing in just under a year. More than sixty seven million dollars in taxpayer money has been spent on the program. About nineteen hundred people have been moved into motel rooms. That's just four percent of the city's forty six thousand homeless population.

A two and a half mile stretch of beach in Laguna Beach could reopen today. A massive sewage spill from a broken sewer line prompted the closure of the beach. Cruz made repairs to the line on Wednesday, but said it'd be a couple of days to get the water tests back, and until those bacteria level tests come back as safe, swimmers and surfers have been told to stay out of the water. At six oh five, it's handled on the news. The great Red versus Blue state debate has Governor Newsom on the ropes.

I'm sure that Bill and Wayne are gonna have something to say about that. But let's get started with some of the stories coming out of the KFI twenty four hour newsroom. Of course, Governor Newsom and Florida Governor Ronda Santis have shouted each other down in what was called the Great Red versus Blue state debate on Fox News, Moderator Sean Hannity had to ask them several times to cooperate as they continued to talk over each other. Excuse me, so,

but one of the things that I did, I had a couple. I'm gonna let the I'm gonna let the debate breathe. But it's his turn, let's take, let's take turns. Yeah, the two traded jabs over taxes, crime, immigration, gun control, abortion, other stuff too. When asked what each loved about the other state, DeSantis talked about being stationed at Coronado and how beautiful the coast is. Newsom didn't answer the question, did

you play the bingo? I told you about the bingo yesterday, and I printed out my bingo card and I played it and one, two, three. There was only like four or five things that I didn't get. But I only got one bingo. But so my bingo was for defecating in the street, which they talked about Newsom running for president, which she still denies. He's going to do Fentanel. Of course a big thing. Book bands that was that took a bit of time, That was an interesting conversation and

the Special Olympics. Israel's military has resumed combat operations in the Gaza Strip following a seven day ceasefire. Gaudief says it's hitting terrorist targets, were seeing air strikes, were seeing an escalation, a very quick escalation, a resumption of Israeli military activities. ABC's Tom Sufi Bridge in Tel Aviv says Israel claims Hamas

violated the terms of the truth. It accuses the terrorist group of firing a rocket toward Israel yesterday in the hour before the truce was supposed to end. The week long pause and the war allowed for the exchange of more than one hundred Israeli hostages for two hundred and forty Palestinians. A forty page document outlining Hamas's strategy to attack Israel has surfaced the New York Times. Ronan Bergmann says Israeli officials saw the plan that had been in the works for more than a

year, and it outlined Hamas's entire strategy. This flair was detailing how sixteen eighty sixteen hundred and eighty Halass commandos will cross the Boulder in sixty different places. Ronan says while officials who looked at the info didn't necessarily disregard it, they just thought it was beyond Hamasa's capabilities. Makes everybody. President Biden and the First Lady have kicked off the holiday season with the annual lighting of the

National Christmas Tree. The one hundred one year old White House tradition went off without a hitch last night after strong winds knocked over the forty foot tall tree on Tuesday. There was some doubt about whether the ceremony would go on as planned, but crews were able to get the tree back up and installed concrete blocks and cables to secure it. Right now, though, let's say good morning to ABC News contributor and editor in chief of Investipedia Caleb Silver. Caleb,

good morning. After being down for a while, the stock market has been going up and up and up. Yeah, investors are going to miss the month of November. It's been one of the best months we've had in several years, stocks really rallying ten percent for the SMP five hundred. The

Dow now had a record for twenty twenty three. So despite all the concerns, the stock market finally shook off that funk from October, had an incredible November, and we're in the strongest sort of five six months of the year for the stock market, despite all the concerns about a potential recession and a pullback and spending. That's now what's happening inside the market. So what's driving

it up? If there are those concerns about a recession and inflation is high and mortgage rates are high, but man, this thing has just been going through the roof. Yeah, inflation has been stabilizing. And we got another report yesterday the PCEE the Personal Consumption Expenditures in DEX. That's a really wide ranging look at how we spend in what we spend, and that is month over month up three and a half percent year over year. But remember back

in July twenty twenty two it was nine percent. So inflation has been stabilizing, growing at a much slower rate. And there is a feeling that the feder Reserve, which was raising interest rates to battle inflation for about a year and a half, they paused the last two meetings. They're likely to pause again when they meet on December thirteenth. If the FED is not going to raise rates anymore and inflation is cooling and rates may come down, that's a

good recipe for stocks to keep rising. And that's what investors are choosing to believe. Well, and we had a report earlier this week that they were thinking that the rates could start coming down, like in January. In the first quarter, they might start pulling them, you know, saying hey, we're going to lower that interest rate, which would be great. Yeah.

And if the Fed does that, the FED is doing that because it wants to stimulate the economy, because all those rate hikes really did slow the economy way down. If you look at the housing market, we've had slowing sales and slowing building permits for the last year year and a half that's been frozen. So if the Fed is done and is actually going to cut rates, good for the housing market, good for the stock market. Money gets cheaper

again. The concern is if they really start cutting rates, that means the economy is in real trouble. So there is a mix back there. But for now, the coast looks really good and really clear for stocks to keep rising. Apps in some other black Swan type of event. Okay, And what does the stock market numbers mean for the average American? Well, more than half of Americans are invested in the stock market actively or passively. So

it has this wealth effect. Right if stocks are going up and gas prices are down, and those two things are happening right now, we feel like we have a little bit more money to spend, and we feel a little bit wealthier, especially folks with higher incomes. The wealth effect is very real. But again, more than half the country's invested through or four oh one

k and ir or as an individual self directed investor. So a horizon stock market is good for people's overall balance sheets of their portfolio, and it tells you that there's some confidence in growth for the economy and for our companies and the jobs market, which has been really strong for the last couple of years. Okay, And what are our expectations that it's the first day of December, what are expectations to close out the year or do you just kind of

wait and see. Well, we've had such a good rally in the stock market again, up ten percent in the last month and up about fifteen sixteen percent for the year. If you look at the overall stock market, that's a really good recovery from last year, and going into the end of the year, we should continue to see at least some stabilization, potentially more games, especially if interest rates and the ten year treasure yield keeps falling, you'll

see stocks keep rising. Okay, And then does the market tend to go up at the start of the year or down or does it just is there any traditional tracking? Then yeah, there's something we like to call the Santa Claus rally, And this is an age old actiom in investing where you do get good gains, especially right now week of November, the first week of December, and then the last week of December in the first week of January. They call that the Santa Claus Rally. Now, if you're a long

term investor, you should not invest with the calendar like that. You should just know stocks tend to go up there up more days than they're down. The stock market average is about a ten percent gain every year going back about eighty years. We'll do it next year unknown, But if you're in it for the long term, these are the days to be in it because these are when the games are made. I'm in it for the long term.

I remember one time when those stuck, I think it was in two thousand and eight, I freaked out and pulled my money out, and I lost I think even more than most people did. So right, because you cannot time when to get back in, and usually when we have those really bad months like we had in October, some of the best performing days come right after that. So you don't want to be out of the market because you might miss that two percent rise. Those really make a difference in your portfolio.

Stay invested, keep putting money in the market every couple of weeks if you can, if you're passive, or if you're a long term investor, make sure you're keeping consistent with those investments because these compounding returns over time, they really matter, especially as you get older. Awesome, hekay, thank you so much for all the information. This is the news contributor an editor in chief of Investopedia. It's Caleb Silver. You can follow him at Caleb

Silver. Thanks so much, Caleb, Thank you have great day you too. Let's get back to some of the stories coming out of the KFI twenty four hour newsroom. Fire has damaged a two story medical building near Echo Park. The fire on Sunset Boulevard was reported around one this morning. The fire department says started outside and spread into the building, and the flames quickly burned from the first floor to the second, where there was a partial floor collapse.

Took firefighters about an hour to put it out. A man with a hatchet has been shot by police in Sun Valley. Officers responded yesterday to an assault with a deadly weapon. Call video shows the guy yelling at officers, then moving toward them with the weapon. One officer appears to fire less than lethal rounds, which didn't have any effect. Another officer eventually shot the man,

who was taken to the hospital. His condition is not known. A judge in LA has ordered the transfer of former porn actor Ron Jeremy to a private residence due to his dementia and poor health. He was indicted on more than thirty counts of sex assault in twenty twenty, but was deemed mentally incompetent to stand trial. Attorney Gloria Alread says she and her clients are deeply concerned about his release. We believe that placing the defendant in a secured, locked

facility is the better alternative. Alred says there will be an investigation in January into whether Jeremy can qualify for a Murphy conservatorship, which would put him on a waiting list to be placed in a state hospital. LA Counties announced an alternative program for people with severe mental illness facing civil court cases. The care Court program will hear cases out of the Norwalk Courthouse and will allow family members

and professionals to petition for rehab instead of jail time. Supervisor Janis Han says the program will help people get the treatment they need instead of just tossing them in jail. This is a bald, untested initiative, and I know care Court has its skeptics, but the status quo hasn't worked. The program officially opens today for those with schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. People will have to meet medical criteria to qualify for the program, and we'll have to have the

cases approved by a judge. Chris Adler KFI News. A woman who had been released from custody at the Lakenty Sheriff's Lakewood Station decided to take a little souvenir on her way out. Surveillance video shows the woman walking out the front entrance with a large Christmas tree, the top half under her left arm, the bottom being dragged by her right hand. Sources in the department say the woman had been in custody for auto theft, but on Tuesday night at nine

she was released. Some time had passed before anyone noticed the tree was missing, and when Debity's finally figured out it had been stolen from the lobby, it was too late. When I asked the watch commander what happened, he replied, I can't comment because it's a confidential investigation. As of this airing, the woman and the tree are still on the loose. Steve Gregory k if I news I shouldn't laugh at that. When we come back, we're

going to talk with ABC's Jordana Miller. The hostages released. They're it's done for now and is back on. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it. Governor Newsom says last night's debate was fun. He posted on social media after squaring off with Governor Ron De Santis, I could have

kept going. The two clashed on pretty much everything from abortion to taxes, to crime, immigration, COVID, and whether Newsom would get in the race for President and whether DeSantis should get out to make way for Nicki Haley. The House is expected to vote today for a third time on whether to throw New York Republican George Santos out of Congress. This vote comes after a House Ethics Committee report was released outlining misuse of campaign funds and other violations. Santos

has also been indicted on twenty three federal charges. San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles are the top three cities people are leaving in the US. A Redfinn study found people were mostly looking to move out of higher priced areas to more affordable areas. Sacramento, Las Vegas, and Orland, Florida are the top three cities people are moving two at six five tandle on the news, former President Trump has been gagged again. Right now, let's say

good morning to ABC's Jordana Miller. Geordana, good morning. The fighting has resumed. That's right. Israel and Hamas failed to come to an agreement on the list the next list of hostages that would be released tonight, and so

the ceasefire expired right around seven am local time. Israel claims that per the agreement, Hamas needed to put ten women on the list, and instead Israel claims Hamas put dead bodies on the list and older men, senior citizens, and Israel says that Hamas is still holding several young women, particularly that we're taken at that rock festival, the all night festival, in their twenties and thirties, and they want them out because there's a lot of concern about that

they might be assaulted during captivity. So we understand right now that there is still intense negotiations going on to get that toose fire back on track. The United States cutter Egypt. We'll have to wait and see if that bears any fruit. In the meantime, since about seven a m. Hamas has been firing rockets every hour on those southern Israeli communities right by the Gaza border, as well as ash Stode and Birsheva cities that sit a little further north,

and Israel has renewed some air strikes in the Gaza strip as well. Most of those communities in the southern Israel area near the border weren't those cleared out shortly after the attacks. They are a lot of those communities are empty. There are some people that have refused to leave. In each community, there are a few people, but it is by and large empty. So the cities of Ashodenberushev are certainly not There's over one hundred thousand Aurelias that live in

those cities. And some of the farmers had returned down to the Gods of Border to you know, tend to their fields, as had many volunteers down there. So it's not empty. It still presents a danger. And there were several soldiers that were just not severely injured, but moderately and lightly injured from some mortar attacks already this morning on a base near the Gods of Border. Okay, Benjamin Natanyahu and U S Secretary of State Anthony B. Lincoln

had a meeting yesterday. Anything new interesting come out of that, Well, I think what we saw there was some of the daylight between you know, the allies emerged, you know, blink in, you know, reportedly telling

the Tagnel behind closed doors that you know Israel. Well, America supports the war and feels it is just it can't be a war that's going to go on for you know, nine months or a year, maybe even not six months that you know, America wants Israel to do what they need to do, you know, in the next few months, and of course do a better job of avoiding civilian casualties. There's about thirteen thousand calsanes have been killed,

and half of them are women and children. And the United States you know, has said to Israel, you know, you have been essentially you have to do better in the second part of the war, and Israel is likely to end up declaring some safe zones where Gossen's you know, will be entire will be safe from all airstrikes. In the previous part of the war, the first part, people went south, but there were still air strikes there. There were a lot less, but there were still air strikes.

And it seems that Israel this time we'll probably we're hearing there's very good likelihood they will declare safe zones. Okay, no air strikes, okay. And then one last question. We know that during the ceasefire aid was getting in. Has that stopped or is aid still getting in? No, that has stopped, okay. So there were two hundred trucks of aid getting in per day, and fuel and gas and that has stopped since the seasfire's off. So it's unclear how many trucks we'll get in today at all, you know,

maybe a few dozen versus two hundred. Okay, it still wasn't enough, but it was better, right, But negotiations continue, so we'll see if we can get the seasfire back on, gets more hostages home. Jordana Miller, thank you as always for your time and information. Always appreciate it. Because you're there on the ground. We appreciate it. Buck soon, all right, take care. Let's get back to some of the stories coming

out of the KFI twenty four hour newsroom. Investigators say the guy accused of shooting and killing a man outside his home and Sandimus likely followed him for miles. Investigators say Jared Powell likely followed the man home from an EVY charging station in West Covina. La County Sheriff Robert Luna says Pal stole some things from the man earlier this week, then shot him. It appears at the robbery and senseless murder was an isolated incident, and there has been no evidence to

indicate that the suspect acted in concert with others. Pal's car was picked up by surveillance video. He was tracked down in arrested in Beverly Hills Wednesday night. Blake Troy kaf I News. Orange County supervisors have approved a two point four million dollar contract extension for a mental health facility despite complaints of rampant drugs

and crime. Ironically, MHA offers no real effective mental health services. Fan Anaccounthelman Phil Besara says the Mental Health Association facility attracts homeless people who can just walk in for laundry, showers, and food, the one shown in this photo committing indecent acts and exposure in front of a school. Supervisor. Doug JP voted Tuesday to extend the contract. I have no objection to putting it somewhere else, but to shut it down with barely a month when the contract

is over, I don't think is the right answer. We need a way of transitioning. The facility opened in two thousand and one. Infanta Anna KORbin Carson kf I News. The seven day truce between Israel and Hamas has ended thirty minutes after Israel resumed fighting in the Gaza Strip. US Secretary of State Anthony Blincoln pushed for a ceasefire to be extended during a visit to Israel yesterday, but Prime Minister Natanyahu said Israel swore to eliminate hamas and nothing's going to

prevent that from happening. La Mayorbeth's Inside Safe initiative has put just two hundred and fifty five homeless people into permanent housing in a year. More than sixty seven million dollars in taxpayer money has been spent on the program so far. Lebron James' son Bronni, has been cleared to start playing basketball again. The USC freshman suffered cardiac or during a workout with the team over the summer. Ronnie has to get final clearance from USC to start practicing next week and then

could return to playing games soon after. At six oh five, it's Handle on the news, the House has passed a measure with support from both Democrats and Republicans, to stop Iran from ever getting its hands on that six billion dollars unfrozen in a prisoner swap. At five point fifty, with the holiday

season upon us, there's a ton to do around southern California. So we're going to take a naughty and a nice look at this weekend with a special preview of This Weekend with Nick but right now, let's say good morning to the house whisper and the host of home on KFI, Dean Sharp. Dean, good mornings, speaking Amy, Good morning, speaking of house whispering. You can still bid for pasta than twenty twenty three to have Dean come whisper

to your house. Yes, you can. We do consults. It's a three hour personal consult myself, my lovely bride Tina in your home, talking about your story and what you would love your house to be. And then we'll walk through and we will vision cast for you, and you know what, we'll set an agenda for you. I love that. Okay. So the bidding goes until eleven forty five tomorrow night. So if you'd like to have Dean come whisper to your house, go to pastathon dot com and then

you just click on the bid and you can get that done. Super cool. Okay. So let's talk presence. Yes, you have a list every year. I've checked it twice and there's some weird stuff on here. Dean. All right, let's talk about it. What do you think? Okay? Well, first of all, I think there are some great, not predictable, but things that you would expect you to recommend like okay, you know, like we talked about the Christmas tree lights, which not so much

presence, but that's a holiday thing. But like this one, a Leatherman tool, that's a great gift. It is a Leatherman's been around forever in the day now. And let me tell you as opposed to overtime fading away into the background and being overtaken by other novel ideas and other tools, the fact is, Leathermen when it comes to multi tools, they are just the king of the hill and they have always been, and it looks like there

are going to be no significant challengers for the near future. You can now buy a Leatherman anywhere from you know, about seventy dollars all the way up to three hundred dollars, depending on what you wanted to do and how many gadgets you want attached to it or what color you wanted. Leathermen will even now personally engraven some of their tools for your loved ones. So they're just they're and you know what, here's the thing, it's not just gimmicky stuff.

They are the new Swiss army knife. They are so functional, useful every home no homeowner would regret having one in there in their little tool drawer. Okay. So and then so that's at the lower end to middle end of the spectrum. And if you really want to go all out, you could do a saw stop table saw. Yes, this is a cool looking little gadget and it looks like it's Yes, it's portable. It is, it is. It's the saw stop. Now there's a story behind the same

memes. Okay. The table saw, statistically speaking, is the most dangerous tool on the planet. It is more limbs and injuries have happened as a result of using table saws than any other construction tool. Now, the saw stop it came out a few years ago, and it came out in a large kind of workshop version. But a sauce stop table saw has a magical little current sensor running through the blade so that the very second, I mean the nano second, if that blade runs into human tissue, the blade freezes

and drops below the the table line. I mean. They do tests in uh or demonstrations, I should say, when they bring these out for contractors to look at, and they use hot dogs. They'll run a hot dog and you know what, that's it's quite it's very similar to the same moisture content as a finger. And so you run a hot dog across the blade and boom, the blade disappears. You look at the hot dog, it

has the tiniest, tiniest little nick or scratch on the surface. It's an amazing tool, but they have been extraordinarily expensive and they have not been portable. Now there are DIY and homeowner versions like this one on its own rollout stand. Now, yeah, it's pricey. It's a sixteen hundred dollars saw, but it's the last table saw any homeowner would ever want to buy, and if you're building your home workshop, it's also the safest one that you

would ever buy. I love that my little brother would kill for that one. Okay, So, and then if you want to go back down spend a ton of money. I love that you put this on your list. A stiletto titanium hammer. Yes, yes, this is actually the same kind of hammer that I frame with. It's a brilliant, brilliant hammer. What

makes it so brilliant it's a hammer. Well, if you're doing a big project and you've ever used a conventional hammer, like a large conventional framing hammer, A twenty four ounce hammer, or a twenty ounce hammer, or god forbid, a thirty two ounce hammer like the one I started framing with decades ago. Then by the end of the day you start to realize, wow, my arm is tired. The stiletto titanium is a sixteen ounce hammer.

For its size, you would you grab onto it and you're like, oh my gosh, it's it's it feels like a feather practically, but it's hard as rocks. The head is titanium, incredibly hard. And they figured out, you know physics, that force basically is a combination of mass and velocity, but it's velocity squared. So that means the faster that you can swing a hammer, the more force you can generate out of it. But so because this hammer's head is so light, you can swing it faster and it

hits like a hammer twice its weight. All right, for doing it yourselfers, that's a great idea. Okay. And then I love this thing. I don't have one with me now, but the little giant ladder. I love these things. Yes, little giants are again. This is the king of the ladder world, I mean, one of the kings. They're right up there at the top. I love the little Giant King Combo ladder. It's a six foot ladder. It's an a frame ladder, so it spreads

apart in a free standing ladder, just like everybody would imagine. But the backside of it has special clamps to it that will fold out straight, and that a frame ladder will become a twelve foot extension ladder just by flipping it up completely straight. And the things that you can't really tell when you initially look at it, there's some brilliance designed into it. The backside of this ladder is designed thinner so that literally it can slide between two two by fours

in a standard stud wall. It has angles at the top of its platform so it can be propped up in a corner perfectly, or locked around a single two by stud on a wall. I mean, it is a brilliant multi purpose ladder that you know. It is literally the last ladder that most homeowners would ever have to buy. I love these because there's so much that goes into this. You think, like I said, it's just a hammer,

but there's so much more to it. It's just a ladder, but there's so much more to it, and they've really made some really good fun inroads on making them more usable for you and long lasting. Before we leave, one more that I want to share. You have gourmet coffee. Yes, gourmet coffee. My I'm so full disclosure, my brother in law, and we've been We've included this on the Gift Guide for as long as we've been doing the Gift Guide. My brother in law, yes, so,

so it's full disclosure, So I'm not getting into trouble here. My brother in law, Sean Anderson, is the owner and operator of Old Town Roasting down in Tustin, and he is a master coffee roaster. It just the best coffee imaginable. And he has set up not a brick and mortar storefront, but an online subscription service where the world's best coffee can be delivered right

to your home on a weekly or bi weekly or monthly basis. And a few years back, because he came to one of our live events like you did a couple of weeks ago, Sean developed a special blend for us, and so you could go to Oldtown Roasting dot com and order for your loved one, yes, the house Whisperer blend and brew yourself a beautiful life and it is dang good coffee. It is great coffee. I love that. And you're gonna be talking more about these on your show this weekend, Saturday

and Sunday. We're gonna work our way through the entire list. Awesome. So six to eight on Saturday and nine to noon on Sunday, we just got the tip of the iceberg. There's a lot more really fun items on this list. Thank you again, Dean Sharp. Thanks Amy. Governor Newsom says last night's debate was fun. He posted on social media after squaring off with Governor Ron DeSantis and said I could have kept going. Newsom continued throwing jabs on social media overnight, calling DeSantis a bully and claiming Florida is a state of fear. A man from Rolling Hills is going to be sentenced to at least twenty years in prison today for providing fentanyl laced pills to a fifteen year old boy who ate them and died. The twenty two year

old was convicted in May. Prosecutor say sold the pills to the boy who thought he was buying oxy coto. The teen was found dead of fentanyl poisoning in his bedroom in May of twenty twenty. San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles are the top three cities people are leaving in the US. A Redfin study found people we're mostly looking to move out of higher priced areas to find a place more affordable to live. Sacramento, Las Vegas, and

Orlando are the top three cities people are moving two. We're just minutes away from handle on the news this morning. The Dow jumped five hundred points yesterday, hitting a new high for the year. We'll see if that continues. Let's say good morning right now to Nick polio KINI. You normally hear him on traffic Good morning. You can also hear him on Friday evenings with later on mo Kelly. With this weekend with Nick and this weekend Nick, you're

getting a little naughty and a little nice. Definitely a little naughty and nice. So happy first day of December. Tonight, I'm going to be talking about two things that are going on that'll be happening through the holiday season. One started out last week during a Thanksgiving and the other one has been going

since twenty sixteen. So the first thing is going to be Santa's Secret, and that is an amazing immersive wonderland, a live a band experience and a speakeasy that you can go visit at the Beverly Center in the West Hollywood and

Beverly Hills, a Jason area. So back in two thousand and five through two thousand and nine, there was a install there that was called Honky Santa and the Candy Cane Girls, and so it was a little bit of a naughty take on adults being able to visit and take a picture with a very attractive Santa Claus down from the north pole. We see like a ripped Santa. Or yes, I'll send you pictures because I've got pictures from back then. And it was there for four years and then the Beverly Center decided to

go away from it. So this is not that. This is from VOS Events out of New York, and they've done this the last three years there. This is our very first year having Santa's Secret. I got to attend a special presentation last night of it, and it is absolutely amazing. So you can go through. It's on the eighth floor at the Beverly Center. If you're not familiar with it. Is definitely a fantastic date night for you and a little bit of a special someone and you get to meet Santa and

Missus Claus. And if you're familiar with RuPaul's Drag Race, the Mistress of Ceremonies, the Ice Queen is As O'Hara through December tenth, and she's one of the most well known drag queens from that, so got to catch up with her and you'll be able to check out an interview with her coming up soon on Nick polio'keanne and This Weekend with Nick on Instagram. I also have a little bit of that with Mo tonight during Later with Mo Kelly. For

this Weekend with Nick Poliochanni. Okay, n I will also giveaway Nick, that's a noddy this is the naughty one, though this is not the naughty one. Okay, no, no, no, no no, this is your It's eighteen and over for that, and she actually have a ticket giveaway, so this is your naughty part of what's going on tonight. Okay again eighteen and over for that event and more details. Tune into night eight pm for this Weekend with Nick and I'll give that and also got a ticket giveaway

or for you to attend this event. So that's a lot of fun and then over to the nice side of things up in the Sambardini Mountains. If you were like me and grew up here in southern California born and raised, you know very well Santa's Village and that was actually open before six weeks before

Disneyland back in nineteen fifty five. Unfortunately, the doors did shut her in the early two thousands, and then Bill and Michelle Johnson bought it back in twenty fourteen and reopened it in twenty sixteen, so it is open and going strong. This is a full family event, and they're actually open year round. It's called SkyPark and Santa's Village in sky Forest, not too far from

Lake Arrowhead up in the San Ronino Mountains. You can check them out year round, but during the holiday season Santa does make a trip down from the North Pole to be able to spend some time with us here in southern California. So you'll be able to see on Nick Pauli o'channey this weekend with Nick right now, I do have the tree lighting ceremony that happens every night around

five o'clock as the sun is setting up in the mountains. But you can also you know, there's the Gingerbread House, which if everybody went when they were a kid. They're bacon strong there. Joel and Perez is the head elf baker that is over there, and I just actually I finished a delicious molasses cookie from them this morning. But that's something else that you can catch. Oh no, no, it's in a massive experience. It's an immersive experience. There's so much going on there. You can also in the off

season do mountain biking and so much more. So those are just two of the things we'll be talking about tonight on this Weekend with Nick Polio Channi during Later with mo Kelly at eight pm. All right, you can hear everything going on this weekend because Nick knows what's happening this weekend with Nick on Later with mo Kelly. Thank you Nick, thank you, Amy appreciate it.
