Episode description

Let me remember God created me.

Father, I did not make myself, although in my insanity I thought I did. Yet, as Your Thought, I have not left my Source, remaining part of Who created me. Your Son, my Father, calls on You today. Let me remember You created me. Let me remember my Identity. And let my sinlessness arise again before Christ's vision, through which I would look upon my brothers and myself today. Now is our Source remembered, and Therein we find our true Identity at last. Holy indeed are we, because our Source can know no sin. And we who are His Sons are like each other, and alike to Him.

Lord of my life. Thank you for this thing and Lord of my love. Thank you for your ways. All that I am, I am in you, all that I say, that I do. Guide me with your life, your mention into live, your gentle father, into your hands, Father, into your hands, Father, into your hand of my life. Thank you for this day and the Lord of my life. Thank you for your ways, all that I have. I am in you, all that I say and that I do. Guide me with you lie, your warm

and gentle hands. I want to cross all over. I want to cross all over. I want to cross over to your primness, to your PRIs, farther to your hands, far to your hands, guide me with your light, your warm and gentle hand. I want to cross all I want to cross. I want to cross to your stand stand. Good morning everyone, Hello Rossio. Hi, welcome everyone, Welcome Rossio. I haven't seen a Racio for quite a while. I'm so glad you're here. Thank you

all for tuning in this morning. And I know that one hundred percent of your expecting Dave van this morning. And as you know, we are interchangeable. We go by many different names and many different guises, but there really is only one of us, and no matter the form that we take, we really are speaking with one voice and expressing one message because there is only

one truth. And today's lesson, as you know, is an extraordinary lesson because it's really the core of the curriculum, the core of a course and miracles. Let me remember God created me. Really, at the end of the day, that is the only thing that you need to remember. And in fact, being in this world as it were, is really just a manifestation of forgetting that God is your creator, that God is the soul creator. There is nothing but God. God is all in all, God is

all there is. And as you are very well aware, it kind of falls down in the concepts in the words, because when I say the word God, what does that really mean. It's not anything that you can point to and say, oh, well, that is God. It's your entire being, it's your entire life. And so the whole purpose of our gathering this morning is really to be together as one in the remembrance of the truth

of what we are. And again, when we talk about remembering, it's not really about what we normally do or let me remember the number of my license plate, or let me remember the name of somebody I met. It's really a complete replacement of that conceptual chatter to a whole experience that has nothing

to do with this or that. It's not conceptual at all. And so remembering is really, in a particular sense, the annihilation of the idea of a separate human entity, of a separate identity that you have called yourself. It is a dissolving into the light of what you are now. Clearly the description of it is not what it is. It is incumbent upon each and every one of us to let go and let God to disappear into that remembrance. And all we really need to do is call on him. It's really

that simple call on our father. This is the song that we've just played, Lord of my life. Thank you for this day, our Father, who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name, Thy Kingdom. Come not my nonsense. I've had enough of thinking I am a separate entity. I am in need. I am in dire need of a new experience, a new way of being. I'm in need of nothing but the truth. Let me remember that God created me. That is our lesson today. And so

it's your own voice that's calling. It's you that are remembering. It doesn't really have to do with a course of miracles or a set of books. It has to do with that yearning within your mind, that hearkening to that spark that was put there in your creation, that light that you truly are. And so it's a letting go and letting God, and it comes about in you purely by your own desire. As long as you are seeking something

else, you will experience something else. You will think there is something else. And this is what we call sin. And so let's take a look at what is sin, because the condition of a human being is a sinful condition. You came in here as a body identity with the belief that you've

done something wrong, that there is a stain on your purity. You come in here with the belief that you're not quite perfect, that there is a gap between you and your creator, that you have managed somehow by your own craziness, by your own doing, you have managed to change creation, to change your own identity. And you believe that, and that is what you call life. Well, that's not life. What is sin? What is that crazy idea? It's insanity. It's the means by which the mind is

driven mad. Think about this for a second, because it really does seem to you that in a condition of apparent separation from God, that you can have reasonable thoughts right and do reasonable things, that you can choose between right and wrong and good and bad, and that there is a difference. Well, the mind is driven mad. There is no sanity in that at all.

Truth has nothing to do with that at all. When we talk about making choices, we're not talking about making a choice between black and white and good aboud. It's nothing to do with that. It's a recognition that none of that is truth. The true choice has none. It's it's a letting go of all of it entirely right. So sinners insanity. It's the means by which the mind is driven mad and seeks to let illusions take the place of truth, and being mad, it sees illusions where the truth should be.

So you think that those choices you're making are real choices. Should I come or should I go? Should I take this job or shouldn't I take this job? Should I read this book or shouldn't I read this book? Should I go to the hospital or stay home? Which is more holy? This is nonsensical The mind This video of mind is completely crazy. The choices mean absolutely nothing. I didn't know if you guys remember a beautiful brother,

incredible teacher of God, Rosie and Rosie. Anytime you would go to Rosie with a problem, Oh Rosie, and this happened, and that happened, and I didn't know what I should do, and blah blah blah blah blah, Rosie would look at you and she would say, in that beautiful way that she had you remember this, Pat you Mber, this Elaine. And she would shake her head and she will say, dear one, what does that have to do with God? Wow? Wow? That is a question.

Wow, that is a question that you must always ask. What does that have to do for God? God is love, God is all there is. God is pure creation, God is light, God is the essence of beauty itself. God is all in all. What does your craziness have to do with God? Absolutely nothing? Wow? Wow? Sin Sin gave the body eyes for what is there the sinless would behold? Think about that?

For instance, what is there that the sinless would behold? If you are pure and holy and everything and all light, what is it that you would be perceiving? What would you be looking at What would it be that's not you? What is it that's not God? See how impos possible? That is absolutely impossible, that there be something else that is not God, that you be someplace else that is not everywhere. Sin gave the body eyes for what is there the sinless would behold? What need have they of sights

or sounds or touch? What would they hear or reach to grasp? What would they sense at all? What would they see? All of this stuff, all your senses, all you're hearing, and you're thinking, and you're seeing and you're talking. This all is based on separation. It's predicated on the idea that you are not God. None of that is true. So in a particular sense, you're growing up, you're maturing, you're waking up. Is really not compromising anymore, is really calling your mind to order.

It's remembering, let me remember that God created me. In your true remembering, all the fear is gone, all the nonsense is gone, and you find yourself in love. You find yourself in light, You find yourself in God, where you have never left and could never leave. To sense is not to know, and truth can be but filled with knowledge and with nothing else. The body is the instrument the mind made in its effort to deceive itself. That's what the body is all about. That wonderful identity that you

call you and that you call other people. The only purpose that they have is to keep you crazy and keep you deluded, and keep you believing that there is a space between you and your creator and the space between you and your brother. Oh, and the course is very very clear on this. If you think that there is a space between you and your brother, you are what insane? It's that simple. But it's true. That's the thing.

It is true, And that's what you really must begin to contemplate and to see and to know within your mind that if you think there is a space between you and your creator, you're nuts. There is no sin. The world I see has nothing to do with reality. It is of my own making, and it does not exist. That is true. It's always been true. What's more, it's true right here and right now, and in your receiving, in your acceptance of that idea, in your letting that

idea be true, something completely different begins to happen. You begin to experience yourself in a new way, in a different way, no opposition, You begin to experience yourself in love, you begin to discover yourself. What is the lesson know thyself? The body is the instrument the mind made in its effort to deceive itself. Its purpose is to strive. Yet can the goal of striving change? And that's why we're here, That's why we've come together.

The goal of striving has changed. We're not striving to hold on to separate identities. We are here to remember God. We are here in one purpose and one goal. Right here and right now, your mind is now unifying, it's coming together as one within you. You're not listening to a million different voices and checking out a million different possibilities. There's a unification that's occurring. There is a turn that's happening, a return to God, to

truth. Your goal of striving has changed. Now those of you who are Jewish or who know anything about the Judaic tradition, which is really your tradition, will know that in a couple of days here we'll be celebrating one of the biggest holidays of the Jewish calendar, and it's called Yom Kipper. It's the day of Atonement. So between the new year Rasashana, which we just celebrated a few days ago and the day of Atonement and Yom Kipper, we have ten days of to Shuva, of the return. It's ten days of

forgiveness, of letting go, of coming home to Shuva. This whole process now before Yom Kipper on Wednesday, it's literally the process as of coming home. It's a process of letting go and letting God, of making amends, of asking for forgiveness. Now, it's not about your grievances. It's about the recognition that we are want There is no gap between us, There is no sin. Isn't this a lesson we did yesterday? Claire taught this yesterday.

Let me remember that there is no sin. That's what this is about. That's why we are here. Now. The body serves a different aim for striving. What it seeks for now is chosen by the aim the mind has taken as replacement for the goal of self deception. We have a new aim, a new purpose, a new goal. Truth can be its aim as well as lies. The senses then will seek instead for witnesses to what

is true. I'm not going to dwell on the word aim, because I know that Claire has taught this over and over again, that sin in the Aramaic is kata, which is an archery term, being off the mark. And so now you are realigned. Your aim now is truth, Your aim now is God. And because there is really no separation between cause and effect, all that truth was really waiting for always you. So it's not like anything is going to happen. It is now that you are beginning to realize

that you are whole and perfect as God created you. It's the realignment of you. It's the coming whole of your own mind. Let me remember God created me. Let me remember there is no sin. And so now it's really letting the light of God, the Word of God, replace you entirely. Wow, you can. Sin is the home of all illusions, which but stand for things imagined, issuing from thoughts that are untrue. They are the proof quote unquote that what has no reality is real. Sin proves quote

unquote that God's son is evil. Timelessness must have an end, eternal life must die, and God himself has lost the sun. He loves with but corruption to complete himself his will forever overcome by death, love, slain by hate, and peace, to be no more that's the condition in which you have attempted to exist. But you're recognizing now, is that this is crazy. Yeah. I mean, look around you at what you call the world. Look at what's going on, whether it's storms and hurricanes or murders and

mayhem or cancer. It's just there is no peace possible in that perception. There is no way, if sin is real, that you're ever going to be able to come home. How are you going to solve Look at the world. How are you going to solve these problems? It's impossible. But what you're recognizing, is it that is a way of seeing. It's not true, there is nothing out there. It's a state of mind. You're beginning to recognize that your mind is not locked up inside your head, that

your mind is all of it. Everything is an idea. It's all an idea right here and right now. You have an idea of size, an idea of many, an idea of fragmentation, an idea of universes and universes. But it's all just one crazy, mad idea, not many different things. There aren't ten thousand things. So all that is really asked of you and offered to you is your awakening, is your remembering, because in your remembering is your escape, right here and right now from all of that.

It cannot touch you, it can touch you not, it's just your own craziness. Isn't that great? And the word of God replaces all of that? Wow. A madman's dreams are frightening, and sin appears indeed to terrify. And yet what sin perceives is but a childish game the Son of God may play. He has become a body pray to evil and to with but a little life that ends in death. But all the while, all that time, right here, right now, continuing completely unabated, his father shines

on him. That's true. Now your father is shining on you. Wow, Yeah, let him shine. All the while his father shines on him and loves him with an everlasting love which his pretenses cannot change at all. Right here and right now, the love, the light, the being, the peace of God is completely unaffected by your crazy idea. And so when we speak about letting go and letting god, we're not speaking of you know,

oh, is it this or that? Were really are speaking of a release of this and that, And in that release you begin to discover yourself. You begin to discover the peace, the love, the light that is in you right here and right now, that has always been there. Wow? How long, o Son of God, will you maintain the game of sin? Shall we not put away these sharp edged children's toys? How soon will you be ready to come home? Perhaps today? Perhaps now there is

no sin? Wow, creation is unchanged. It's not awesome. Would you still hold return to heaven back? How long? Oh, Holy Son of God? How long? There isn't anything that you have to do? So you keep struggling? Oh? Did I get it right? To my good? Wow? What's the experience? Am I having the right experience? Is it happening to me? It cannot not happen to you. God is here, God is now. Your craziness has not changed anything. Let him be. Let me remember God created me. I mean do nothing. It's okay.

I haven't sinned. God does not judge. He loves me with an everlasting love. Be okay with God. Be okay that God is here, That God this now, come out, Come out from wherever you're hiding. Let him see you. Open your mind to him. It doesn't matter what you think you've done. It has no meaning. He doesn't see it. Doesn't understand words, doesn't know anything about this. Isn't that great? Wow? Thank you father? Wow? Oh my god, thank you wow, thank you father. M m m m. I will be still an instant

and go home. I will be still an instant and go home. My kingdom is not of this world. This is not where I belong. I will be still an instant and go I will be still and inst and go home. I will be still and instan and go home. My kingdom is not of this world. This is not where I be long. I will be still and inst I will be still and inst I will be still and instant and go. Oh wow, thank you Doug for that beautiful, beautiful song. And as you know, we don't just play these songs, you

know, so we can play a song. I'm not a DJ here. These songs apart obviously of everything that we're doing, and Doug is expressing perfectly the action of our mind and that song of being still, finding that stillness within the mind, finding that place where peace and joy and love and light abide, finding home. I don't have to do anything. I simply have to remember that God created me, that God is here, that God is now, and in case you're wondering. That is from lesson one eighty two

of the Workbook of a Course in Miracles. I will be still an instant and go home. And it's this instant. Which instant, it's this instant to any instant, because all of time is really an instant. And so what is your job? What is your what is your purpose? What is your function in this world? Is to be still an instant and go home. You have nothing else to do but that exact It doesn't require you to be to place your body in a particular place, or in a particular position,

or anything. It is simply your remembrance of God and letting his strength take the place of your weakness, letting his light illuminate the darkness within which you define yourself. I will be still an instant and go home. And so what you will find is that today's lesson is exactly that. It's a prayer. You know, of course, that we are now in the second part of the Workbook of a Course of Miracles, where it's not so much about do this, do this, do this, do this, do the

next thing. It's really about being still an instant and going home. And that's what we're doing. In this second half of the workbook, it's being with God. It's prayer, it's communion, it's opening your mind. It's letting all the nonsense just fall away, regardless of whatever it is or how serious it seems to be. It's just letting it all go and being still an instant and going home. And there is no other way but through your own experience. You can't read about it, you can't hear about it.

It is literally in your letting go, in your willingness to experience the truth of you, in your willingness to really answer that yearning within your heart, in your willingness to come to terms with the fact that you are an alien here. This is not your home. I think it was a Jim Reeves that sang a country song, and I heard this when I was about four

or five or six years old. I was in Darkest Africa at the time, and they used to they had this song this this book called the Records Songbook, where somebody would transcribe all the songs that we would hear on the radio, and it went like this, this world is not my home. I'm just passing through the it. My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue. The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door, and I can't feel at home in this world anymore. And they s I remember it from when

I was five years old. It's extraordinary song. And that's the truth. This world is not your home. This condition of insanity is not where you belong. So it's remembering that and letting it go. You can't do anything with it because it isn't anything, and you're not anything in an attempt to do something with it. Your reality is part of God, it's part of what life is. And so your job is to remember that. Your job is to be still an instant and go home. Your job is to be

with God right here and right now. Let God be your father. Let him be with you here now. He wants to hear you all him. Friend. There's nothing to fear. He doesn't judge you, he doesn't condemn you. He is all of love, He is all of beauty, he is all of light. He is what beauty is, he is what kindness is, he is what love is. Let him be. Let me remember God created me. Father, This is you. This is coming from your heart, from your mind. Father. I did not make myself, although

in my insanity I thought I did. Yet as your thought, I have not left my source, remaining part of who created me. Your son, my father calls on you today, a calling on God here now he's nearer than your heart to you. He cannot not answer because he has already answered. He created you. Wow, your son, my Father calls on you today. Let me remember you created me. Let me remember my identity, and let my sinlessness arise again before Christ's vision through which I look upon all

my brothers and myself today. So today you experience everything in the light of your mind. Your mind has no beginning, no end. The light has no beginning, no end. It's what you are always. It's one. There is no space between us, there is no gap between us. We are one. We are oneself, united with our creator right here, right now. We're always always the case. You can depend on that. Wow. Be with God here now now is our source remembered, and therein we

find our true identity. At last, Holy indeed are we because our Source can know no sin, and we who are His sons, alike each other and alike to him. Wow, m God, my father, into your hands, I commend my soul I commend my soul, God my Father, that is all I need to know, on a table well prepared the holy gift of Grace's Lady. Lighted by this gift, hate and fear are gone.

The world has never been at all. Into the endless present, hast all thought of time, de turnity remains beyond salvation, and the Holy face of crist Eternity remains God my Father. Into thy hands, I commend my soul, God my Father, that is all like to know. We say God, he we cease to speak, for words have lost all. We say, God, cease to speak. There are no lips to speak them. Into the endness present, passed off thought of time, Eternity remains beyond

salvation, and the Holy face of crist Eternity remains God my Father. Into thy hands. I command my soul. I command my soul, God my fall. That is all life, that is all liey, that is all liey, no amazing song. So let me remember D created me. Here's our prayer for this day. Father. I did not make myself, although in my insanity I thought I did. Yet as your thought, I have not left my source, remaining part of who created me, Your son, my Father, calls on you today. Let me remember you created me.

Let me remember my identity, and let my sinlessness arise again before Christ's vision through which I would look upon my brothers and myself to day. Now is our source remembered, and therein we find our true identity. At last, holy indeed are we because our Source can know no sin, and we who are His sons, are like each other and alike to him. So on that note, we're going to bring the podcast to a close. But this

is really just the beginning of our practice for the day.
