A powerful gentle journey of peace , when disturbing feelings come up

Yesterday I heard the saddening news of a promising , talented young life passing away . Even though I'm not a news person - this filled me and many of you up with sadness and despair. Tried distracting yourself? Doesn't work! And there are so many moments like this in today's times.
When some news , some event, some trigger disturbs you and we all realize that talking about it doesn't really resolve it
So what works? Last evening after trying work away the disturbances within me and my efforts at getting too busy to feel it ...awareness set in . I finally sat with myself and with everything that was disturbing me. What emerged in my meditation was beautiful and peaceful . Soon after, As I opened my eyes, I found the golden light of the setting sun filling up my room and I moved to my window to be one with this moment. A great realization of peace and light set in. This peace permeated my being and I could calmly offer it to the departed soul, to my own self and to humanity at large.
I knew exactly what to do - I sat down and recorded this for each one of you.
This is a glimpse my practice of my Mindfulness practice and I was guided to offer it in this edition of Monday Musings. Travel with me as I navigate the hidden, brushed away recesses of our minds and emotions. I pray this short lill journey brings you peace and light
