#57 Agile Development is Right up a Military Vets Alley - Nate Amidon, Form100 Consulting
Aug 01, 2019•52 min
Episode description
Growing up in St. Paul, Minnesota, Nate Amidon loved high school swimming and wanted to continue with competitive college swimming. Even though not a huge military town, his St. Paul high school had a strong connection with the Air Force Academy and Nate found himself connected to their swim team. His degree was in Business Management and after graduation became a pilot, even though he didn't necessarily have that burning desire as a youngster. Still active in the Air Force Reserves, Nate realized his military training of learning to work together to solve problems readied him for the business world. He started out working on a licensing project at Microsoft and that taught him about the Agile development model. As he got more comfortable, he realized how valuable his military training was for the space and knew there were military people leaving the service with the same background and clients who needed those types of background. the business was born.
