Episode description

Maybe you have heard people speak about God or specifically the “Old Testament God” as a "cosmic abuser". A vengeful, wrathful, murderer. Maybe you believe that yourself. I do have empathy for that point of view because at first glance it may appear that way, especially if we do what is often easy to do and filter the Bible through our own lens, insert ourselves into the narrative, instead of reading the Bible fully and contextually. It’s only when I began to do that that my eyes were opened and my heart exploded with this truth: God is just and righteous but when we fail to measure up, to meet expectations he fulfills the requirements for us. God is so MERCIFUL. It is so clear throughout the pages of the NT and it’s really what to book of Hosea is all about.

This is the VERSED Podcast; a daily pursuit to become more perceptive to what the Bible says.

If you would like to dive deeper into certain verses in the Bible, have a verse you would like to submit to have included in a future episode, have questions about the Bible that you would like answered in a bonus episode, or simply want to connect with me... text VERSED to 88474 or click here

Also included in that link is a list of resources and references I use in this podcast and can help you grow deeper in your faith as well.

As always – ratings and reviews are massive! They really help others discover the podcast and ultimately help us improve VERSED. Thanks in advance for that 😊

Love you all – keep making hope louder!

John
