Welcome. It is Verdict with Ted Cruz and the Weekend Review. Ben Ferguson with you. And there were some major stories this week that you may have missed that I want to make sure you know all about that. The Center and I discussed First up, Biden has all of a sudden decided.
To freeze at flights for illegals.
Why now, Well, it's after there was an expose and it's shocking what we found out, and we'll tell you about that in just a moment. Also, Kamala Harris is in hiding. Apparently she thinks the way to become the president is do exactly what Joe Biden did. Not talk to the media, not show up for anything that deals with question and answers, and you know, just kind of walk into the White House. Remember, no one's voted for her so far, so will at work. We'll dive into that.
And finally, the VP choice Waltz, Well, he's got some real baggage, including turning citizens on one another during COVID in Minnesota. We'll break that down for you as well. The week in Review and it starts right now. The Biden administration has come out and they have freezed these controversial, and I think it's a mild way of putting it. Migrant flight program after there were massive fraud revelations that
had been exposed Fox News. Bill Malugin did an amazing job on this, and we should give him some serious credit.
But this is another example of the fraud and abuse and just not having any clue what they're doing with a wide open border policy, whether it's migrants coming in on planes or coming across the southern border and terraces coming in with them, fetnel coming in with them, the worst criminals in the world getting into this country, and now we find out, oh wait, yet again, they have no idea who's even on the flights they're allowing in.
Well, let me agree and disagree. I'm going to agree number one, that Bill Mallusian has been incredibly He's been the best reporter in the country highlighting the invasion in our southern border. He's truly been a hero reporting on this. I'm going to disagree though, when you said that Biden Harris have no idea what they're doing. I think they
know exactly what they're doing. They are presiding over an invasion of our country, and it's deliberate the eleven and a half million illegal aliens that have come into this country. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris want them to come in
and they are doing this for power now. This program, and you and I have talked about this program multiple times on this podcast, was a program where they weren't simply taking people that were apprehended on the southern border and letting them go, although they're doing that by the millions. They were actually flying them from their home countries directly into America. And this program was focused on four countries, Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua,
and Venezuela. And under this program, up to thirty thousand nationals a month, Biden Harris were flying in from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. And by the way, we focused on and I've talked multiple times about, one of those instances involved a Haitian national that flew in under this program from Haiti to Boston. In Boston, they released this illegal immigrant. He turned around and raped a fifteen year old girl
with severe mental disabilities. He was arrested for raping this fifteen year old girl just a couple of weeks ago. He was released from jail on bond. You know how much as bond was five hundred dollars. A left wing judge said, you rape a disabled girl, a teenager, five hundred bucks should cover it. It is outrageous. And understand, this wasn't someone who had crossed the border and escape. This is someone that Joe Biden Kamala Harris said, you know, we need to fly this guy from Haiti to commit
these kind of crimes here. And by the way, another of the countries included in this, as Venezuela, we have
talked about. I believe Maduro in Venezuela is very deliberately systematically emptying his jails and sending criminals here, sending murderers, sending rapists, sending child molesters, doing it deliberately, and it's reminiscent of what Castro did with the Mario boat lift, where Castro emptied the jails in Cuba and put criminals and emptied the insane asylums and put people with serious mental illness on boats and send them into America and we saw crime wave result from that. I think Maduro
in Venezuela is doing the same thing. And so suddenly this is actually, in many ways the same stories. The one we talked about a minute ago, the reversal of the nine to eleven plea deal, which is we are less than one hundred days from an election. I think the Biden administration realized, Hey, wait, people really don't like chaos at our southern border and eleven and a half billion people invading this country, and they really dislike that we're
facilitating it actively. And so again on Friday the news broke, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that quote out of an abundance of caution, temporarily pause the issuing of advanced Travel authorizations for the program, which allows up to thirty thousand nationals from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to travel into the US each month and enter legally under the
administration's use of parole if they meet certain conditions. A Congressional source had told Fox News Digital that the pause came in mid July after an internal report unearthed large amounts of fraud no kidding in applications for those sponsoring the applicants. DHS said the pause was occurring as it reviewed sponsor applications. The focus is on issues with supporter filings and not with the filings from beneficiaries of the
program themselves. Quote, DHS has review mechanisms in place to detect and prevent for fraud abuse in our immigration processes. DHS takes any abuse of its processes very seriously, a DHS spokesperson said. Where frauds identified, us ICE will investigate and litigate applicable cases in Immigration court to make criminal
referrals the Department of Justice. Quote, out of an abundance of caution, DHS has temporarily paused the issuance of advanced travel authorizations for new beneficiaries while it undertakes a review of supporter applications. DHS will restart application processing as quickly as possible with appropriate safeguards. Now, I want to emphasize one word into what I just read, temporarily as in temporarily paused. I'm going to make a prediction, if God forbid,
Kamala Harris wins temporarily will end in mid November. They'll probably wait a week after election day, and then suddenly the program is back on, and we've got another four years of an invasion, and we'll see an eleven and a half million people become twenty million or thirty million. Those are the stakes of this election. If these guys win, this temporary pause disappears and they return to the business of invading our nation center.
I want to go to strategy for just a second here.
It's very weird to see how quickly we're moving on on different issues. You know, Donald Trump gets shot at Oh it's old news. A few weeks later, Joe Biden's incompetent and resigned, you know, it says I'm not going to run for reelection. Then we have no no, no fight at a prime or at a convention. Bam Kamala Harris gets it out of you know, and it's all settled and done. You move on for that. Then they start saying that jd. Vance is weird because he's a
family guy. But you know, hanging out with drag queens and story hour at the White House and men with fake breasts, you know, flashing people at the White House.
That's normal apparently and not weird.
You got everything that's happening at the Olympics, and we still have this really big issue, which is a wide open southern border.
We still have terrorists that are being caught.
We talked about that, we have potential tarists that are trying to get onto military basis and they're being let go. How do you keep this an election your issue if you're Donald Trump against Kamala Harris specifically on this issue and going, you guys like, not only have you created the problem, you are the problem. The media tells us she's out the borders are. We've already proven she was absolutely named the borders are, and the media said it
quite a few times. Now they're trying to take that back. So how do you deal with this issue with the American voter where it matters three months out?
You focus on substance, You focus on issues, You focus on Kamala's horrible record, You focus on the disaster that it's meant for American families. And you're right, the media is working over time trying to erase the last four years, the fact that Donald Trump there was an attempted assassination attempt. We've seen big tech, We've seen the media try to completely erase that, just just trying to write it away.
On the fact that Kamala Harris was the borders are, they're trying to gaslight and say that's not the truth. On the fact that Kamala Harris, for years has called for banning fracking. They're trying to erase that and say that's not the truth and an open border. Look, look these two decisions, the nine to eleven plea deal and the program flying in over three hundred thousand illegal immigrants
every year. They're trying to reverse that just moments before the election because they really do think the voters are dumb, that they're easily fooled. But I mean, let's break down some of the details. So this temporary pause in this program was driven by an internal report at the Department of Homeland Security about fraud. And let me break down some of the substance of it, because we're not talking
a little fraud, we're talking massive fraud. So the report showed that one hundred thousand, nine hundred and forty eight forms were filled out by a total of three two hundred and eighteen serial sponsors. A serial sponsor is someone whose number appears on twenty or more forms. So you got about three thousand people that are bringing in more than one hundred thousand illegal immigrants. Now here's something that
will really blow you away. It found that twenty four of the one thousand most used numbers belonged to a dead person. Meanwhile, one hundred physical addresses were used between one hundred and twenty four and seven hundred and thirty nine times on a total of over nineteen thousand forms. Those addresses included storage udents units. One sponsor phone number was submitted on over two thousand forms, and there were two eight hundred and thirty nine forms with non existence
sponsor ZIP codes. Look, this is rampant fraud, and it is rampant fraud designed to create, facilitate, and accelerate a criminal invasion of the United States of America. And I'm going to stipulate right now that of those serial sponsors, those three two hundred and eighteen serial sponsors all are left wing Democrats. I have no proof of that. I just live in the planet Earth. I'm aware of the people who want this country to be invaded, and they're
committing fraud. And to be clear, the Biden Harris administration doesn't care. They are happy to do this except in the hundred days before an election, and the hundred days before an election they will pretend to give a damn. But it is cynical to the point. And by the way, have you heard Joe Biden say word about this.
Not a word.
Have you heard Kamala Harris say word about this?
Nope?
How about even one Democrat senator, one Democrat house member.
None of them. They're completely silent, like it's not happening, like.
That report is stunning, and they will not even acknowledge it exists. They just say, oh, no, no, we're pausing, not happen, No, no, never mind, never mind, we got an election to happen. Never mind at all.
Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation, you can go back and listen to the full podcast from earlier this week. Now onto story number two.
Senator, let me also ask you another question, and that's going to be the debate. We there was a debate that was offered up. Kamala Harris said no, that was going to be on Fox. Now apparently they've agreed to another debate on one of the major networks. And if she's not doing interviews and you have to put out press statements, you know that Vice President Harris pledges a scheduled interview before the end of the month after speaking
with her team on Thursday. Quote, it's unclear if the interview will take place in the last three weeks of August or whether the interview scheduled interview scheduling will take place before August ends, quote unquote. But Harris, as you mentioned in the beginning of the show, has not given one unscripted press conference since she joined the president to race eighteen days ago.
To use the you know.
Walt's favorite word, that's weird and may can you avoid the press until Labor Day twenty five days from now twenty four days for now a long time. Here's Ally told Politico for their publication, basically, I think limiting expectations. And now you look at this, you go, Okay, she's going into hiding. How important is the next president of debate?
Then well, look, Trump came out and challenged her to three presidential debates. And that's a very normal thing to do. If you look in history at modern times, there have typically been three presidential debates and usually one vice presidential debate. That's been the history for a long time. And so what Trump challenged her to, he challenged her to it on three different networks. That was a very reasonable challenge. I don't think she'll accept. My prediction is we will
see one presidential debate between Trump and Kammala. I think her team would love that to be zero, but I think they will probably make the judgment that zero would project so much weakness that it would be a problem. I think the chances that they agree to three are essentially zero because from their perspective, why would they Every day they are getting tens of millions of dollars of free press, and the press is just running a twenty four hour infomercial for her, So why would she do
anything to take the Kamala Harris infomercial off TV? The press wants her to win. I think they will feel like, we got to do one and by the way, and we'll talk about this as the debate approaches. Look, that debate has has risks for both of them. It has risks for her because when she's unscripted, when she's ad libbing, she can say all sorts of zany things that are not terribly impressive. But it also has risks for trumpet In particular, it has risks for Trump of being too aggressive,
too mean, and that has a potential to backfire. Kamala is not Joe Biden, and so you know, from from the Democrat perspective, I think they would hope that Trump would come across as a bully or mean, because I think they would. They would be calculating that doing so might well push swing voters to Kamala. And so where I think we'll end up is one debate September or October. I think Trump rightly will keep putting on.
ABC News has apparently yeah, well, ABC News has now apparently confirmed that both Trump and Harris quote have agreed to basic terms for their debate on September the tenth. So you're saying you believe there's a very good chance that may be the only debate they do.
And remember that was the previously agreed debate that that Joe Biden had also agreed to that Trump initially was pushing back and not wanting and saying how about we do Fox instead, and Kamala didn't want to do that. It's they both now said, Okay, we'll do ABC on September tenth. I'd love to see three debates. I think it would be better for democracy. I think would be it would be better for the American people, for the voters. But I think Kamala, Harris and the Democrats do not
give a flying flip about democracy. Don't give a flying flip about the voters. They every single day that she does nothing, the media is campaigning for twenty four hours a day, and I think their entire strategy is don't get in the way of the media campaign unfolding right now.
So let me ask you this.
And I look to Vegas every once a while because it just I find it fascinating to see where they and how they rank the race. You look at this media propaganda that is historic on its scale for Harris and all of the money that's flown in to boost her and the ads that that are running.
Everyone I think has seen them.
Now.
She is now only at even odds with Trump in Vegas, this after they've thrown everything that they have at Harris to try to save the Democra Credit Party.
And the question is, is the Kama honeymoon over?
If it is, If it's straight up forty ninety nine in Vegas right now, is this now going to turn into somewhat of an actual and real campaign.
Look, I hope. So I still believe Trump is gonna win in November, and that we're going to see a very good election where Republicans win the White House, we win the Senate and we win the House. That's what I think is likely to happen. That being said, the chances of that today are significantly less than they were three weeks ago. Three weeks ago in Milwaukee and you and I did several podcasts from Milwaukee Live from the convention in Milwaukee, the feeling was exuberant. In fact, you
and I talked about on this podcast. At the convention, I was worried, I said at the time, I think Republicans are over confident, that that we feel like the race is over. We're celebrating. You and I had conversations with people there that that that that were already handing out cabinet positions, And my view is the time for celebration is after the election, not before now. The reason there was such a sense of exuberance is because Joe Biden was the opponent, and I think if Joe Biden
stayed the opponent, Trump would have won easily. And the problem was Democrats came to that same conclusion, Oh crap, we're going to lose if Biden's the president is the nominee. So they yanked him out of the way and pushed
him aside and replaced him with Kamalin. Right now, three weeks later, we've seen three weeks of relentless propaganda for Tamala, and we have also seen so Trump, for much of his presidential time and much of his campaigning time, has been able to dominate the free media narrative, has been able to drive the stories. The past three weeks, the
free media narrative has all been about Kamala. And I think one challenge that I'm sure the Trump campaign has focused on right now is how they drive the free media narrative in a way that highlights how radical and extreme Comma is. And I would say, I think it's a mistake for them to get into personal issues, issues that are unrelated to Kamala's extreme record, and in particular how it impacts people listen. Every election, I think is decided.
To give us an example of what you mean by that, give us an example because you said not reading in the personal stuff.
Every election, I think is decided by the same basic question, are you better off today than you were four years ago? I think the Trump campaign ought to be discussing every single day how ordinary people's lives are worse, how young people coming out of school look, newly married, looking to buy their first home are discovering that if you try to buy a home with a seven or eight percent mortgage instead of a two and a half percent mortgage, you get half the house you used to be able
to get four years ago. Uh. Talking about seniors who are discovering every one of their bills has gone up, uh,
and yet their income is not keeping pace. Talking about families who are scared because illegal immigrants are being released every single day, as I said on the stage in Milwaukee, every damn day, an American is murdered, a woman is raped, a child is assaulted and brutalized by illegal immigrants released by Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and and I think the Trump campaign should focus on how to drive the narrative every day, both their they're paid messaging, but also as
much as possible the earned media on how people's lives are worse now because of the failures. Kamala Harris should not be able to run on the hypothetical of what a Harris presidency would look like, because you know what she and Joe have been in office for four years. We know exactly what it looks like, and it's a train wreck and the Trump campaign I think needs to make that, make that the topic of discussion as much as possible every day between now an election day.
Cener Her final question I have for you, and that is, how do you prep if you're Donald Trump right now for attacking a candidate that's in hiding. I mean, it's different because the last time it was, the attack was pretty clear. The line was he's incapacitated, he can't do the job, referring to Biden. You can't use that line against Harris. So what do you do to undermine her in hiding? Do you say, Hey, I thought she was able bodied, I guess she's not, and try to bait her that way.
What's the strategy?
Look, I think you focus on substance. Her policies are extreme, her record is extreme. Her record is a failure. Her record is hurting you. Life is worse off. You know, if you look at across the country, virtually no one answers the question, yes, are you better off today than you were four years ago, unless you happen to be a big tech billionaire or a Mexican drug lord. And by the way, if you're a Mexican drug lord, you ought to vote for Kabala and Waltz, they're clearly the
candidate for you. If you're a big tech billionaire, they're your candidate too. But but, but if you're a steel worker, if if you're a suburban mom, if you're a young person, if you're somebody, if you're a senior, if you're somebody who loves America, if you're somebody who wants your kids safe, if you're someone who wants your grandkids safe, if you're someone who wants to see peace and prosperity in the world and not h not chaos, then you ought that,
then the choice is a lot clearer. And that's what I think the Trump campaign needs to be looking every day to make that real and personal and why it matters to you.
As before, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation on this topic, you can go back and down the podcast from earlier this week to hear the entire thing. I want to get back to the big story number three of the week. You may have missed Center.
Snitch lines are used in communist countries socialist countries where you and doctrinate kids to snitch on their parents, right, and you tell them the kids, hey, come to school and hey tell the authorities, Hey tell us the teachers what your parents are doing that are going against the government. And yet this is what the governor was doing in Minnesota, actually using tax dollars to do exactly the same damn thing.
Look, we will lock you up. Write out your parents, write out your kids, writ out your family members. The government is in charge. Anyone who violates my lockdown order, report on them to the government. But by the way, it's not surprising that Tim Waltz loves him some communist China.
Listen to this clip and focusing on and I lived in China, and as I said, I've been there about thirty times. But if someone tells you and they're an expert on China, they're probably not telling you the truth because it's complex country, but it's critically important for us. I don't fall into the category that China necessarily needs to be an adversarial relationship. I totally disagree.
I mean, this is a guy and I go back to what I said earlier. These clips need to be shared everywhere. So if you are an avid listener verdict, share this podcast on social media because the media is not going to play any of this for you.
So to be clear, he's not even saying that China is not our mortal enemy when we must destroy them. He's saying, I don't fall into the category that China needs to be an adversarial relationship. I totally disagree. This is someone who's made a life embracing communist China. And by the way, I want Chitty to hear a really weird quote. A weird quote. So Tim Waltz grew up in a town called West Point, Nebraska in the seventies and eighties, and here's a quote that he said. He said,
Waltz has always been fascinated by communist China. He remembers from his childhood pictures of Mao say tongue hung in public places and carried in parades. Now, in West Point, Nebraska, that was a town of about three three hundred people. Who the hell was hanging pictures of Mao zay dung and carrying them in parades. I mean, this is a guy who literally says, like, there are pro communist parades in Nebraska. Like what circles was this guy running on?
And you're right, the media is not going to report on that. That's from a newspaper from an article where they thought that was praising him. But all right, let's go through a little bit more of his record. How about open borders. So we know that he signed into law a law that allows Minnesoesota records residents to get driver's license even if they're illegal aliens. Play that clip. It's done.
A packed room at the Saint Paul Armory erupted after the governor's signature made driver's license for.
All the law of the land.
I mean, he was so excited about this. It is law.
Come to Minnesota, illegal immigrants, and I'll give you everything you want, including that driver's license. And then he said that every other state should do it as well.
Well, and listen, it's not like Tim Waltz, like Kamala Harris is rooting for eleven and a half million illegal immigrants to invade this country. Well no, actually it is. Listen to what he said about whether he wants illegal aliens to climb the border wall and invade this country illegally. Play that clip, and.
I think seeing a plan that's out there talking about it with folks knowing that he's not going to do anything.
He talks about this wall.
I always say, let me know how hi it is.
If it's twenty five feet, then I'll invest in the thirty foot ladder factory. That's not how you stop this.
This is a guy that has done a one point eighty from everything you would do if you believed in securing our borders. He is a wide open sanctuary state. He is in favor of adding lattery factories to help illegals get across the wall if they built the wall. He is a guy that says, come into our state, wherever you're coming from in the world, we are a sanctuary state, and we're proud to say that that is what we are.
And this goes back to what you said.
He is a radical that is there clearly to help Kamwa Harris enforce her radical agenda ideas well.
And understand he's not saying as like a financial matter that he wants to invest in ladder companies, is not advising that as a stock picking tip. What he's saying is he's rooting for the people climbing the wall. He's rooting for the people crossing into this country. And he's not admitting this, but he's rooting for the human traffickers. He's rooting effectively for the drug cartels. And that's exactly where Kamala Harris is. Kamala Harris was our borders are.
She was in charge of the border during this invasion of eleven and a half million people. And Tim Waltz is there. He will be the cheerleader. The two of them will will wave their pom poms, cheering on the invasion, going Yay ladders, Yay tunnels, get into this country illegally. Why because we think you're going to vote for Democrats. And his record is he supports open borders. So does Kamala Harris. That's why she picked him, Senator.
I mean, we really could see it in the just moments and hours after the announcement from Kamala Harris of the VP pick being Waltz, that the media had one quick your plan and strategy, and that was describe the pick Tim Waltz as a moderate.
He is nothing but a radical.
Listen. That is absolutely right. This is someone who is an extremist. His record, he's embraced socialism, he's embraced open borders, he's embraced COVID lockdown. He was responsible for shutting schools down in Minnesota and hurting low income kids, hurting African American kids, hurting Hispanic kids in his state. He's been a radical on gender extremism, including castrating and sterilizing little boys and little girls. He mandates that tampons be provided
a ten year old boys. He loves him. Some communist Chinese lived in Chinese says we shouldn't be an adversary with them. He's advocated latter factories to climb over border walls. He has been extreme, but the media says, oh, he's a midwestern guy. He was a school teacher. By the way, Bowman, the squad member in New York who has just beaten a Democrat primary because he was so radical and so anti Israel and such socialists, he was a school teacher. I gotta say, there are a bunch of radicals that
are school teachers. So just saying that is not a moderating middle of the road factor necessarily, but part of what the media is trying to say as well. He's a Midwesterner who appeals to country folks. He appeals to rural voters. Now, to be clear, in Minnesota he did even worse with rural voters than his predecessors. But I want you to listen to what Tim Waltz thinks about rural America.
He goes maps red.
And blue, and there's all that red across there. Democrats go into depression over it.
It's mostly rocks and cows that are in that red area. Rocks and cows. Center that three thinks.
That's what he thinks about rural America. This is the governor of Minneapolis, this is the governor of left wing pro China radicals. And Kamala Harris is the vice president of San Francisco. And that's who they're running to represent.
And if you'd happen not to be a San Francisco leftist, if you happen not to be a Minneapolis leftist, if you happen not to love communist China, not to love open borders, not to love BLM rioters burning your city to the ground, well they're not running to represent you.
