Episode description

This lecture was given on February 16, 2020, at the Vedanta Society of Northern California by Swami Tattwamayananda.
-The real meaning of Shiva is auspiciousness not destruction.
-Pralaya means the effect returning to the cause – dissolution.
-In one story, Shiva was more pleased with the mental temple built by the humble devotee than the grand temple built by the king.
-In a second story, a hunter escapes wild animals by climbing a tree. As he plucks leaves to stay awake, the leaves fall and create an image of Shiva.
-In a third story, a hunter offers meat to Shiva in the shrine and the priest tries to drive him away but Shiva announces that the hunter was his real devotee.
