Episode description

I'm going on hiatus for a few months. In Ep#61.5 I'm talking about why it's just a bit too hard to maintain motivation/time to produce these episodes whilst travelling Brazil.

Huge thanks to everyone who supported this show over this last season, I really do appreciate it.

Intro

Kyrin DownKyrin Down

Hello everyone, and welcome to the value for value episode here on the 17th of April 2024. I'm Kyrin, your host, and I need to start off with an apology. An apology for not producing anything in the last two weeks, and also an apology for not notifying you guys about this as well.

For those who don't know, I might have mentioned this in the last couple of episodes that I am travelling to Brazil, and so I'm here now and it has been an absolute whirlwind of getting ready, prepared, travelling and travelling around in here. And now that I've finally got my little space here, recording room where I can actually do some things, I've realised my motivations have changed from what I expected to do.

I expected to still be able to produce these episodes, still go live, still put in as much time and effort and work as I as I used to be doing. And I've just realised this is kind of counter to a lot of the reasons why I've travelled to Brazil. I'm here to really pick up some Portuguese and get that to a higher level.

I'm here to honestly have a little bit of a break from working and producing podcasts constantly for the the last couple of years and I just realised like the 6 or 7 hours that I put into creating this per week is, I would, I would rather be spending that one hour, an extra hour a day, learning Portuguese or seeing the sights or meeting new people, having new experiences and, yeah, unfortunately, I'm just gonna have to put the value for value show on hiatus.

So even though I'm only midway through season four, I will be back. And like usual, it'll probably be in about three, four, maybe five months time. until I can really get into the swing of things again, get into a groove, be back in Australia, have my normal routine. And, I referenced this, quite extensively in the latest Mere Mortals episode, which was number four for three, I believe. And, Yeah, just, wanted to say apologies.

Appreciation

I would have notified everyone. I would have told you guys more about this, and I just up until probably a couple of days ago is I was still streaming like I missed a week, but I'll still be able to recoup it and get it back up. But I just realised, over the last couple of days, like that was going to be really hard because I'm, I'm still going to be travelling around a lot and, yeah, flexibility and is probably key at the moment.

And having a locked in once a week thing, which I need to do and which I need to spend a lot of time on, is just, just not not working for me at the moment. So I really just want to say thanks to everyone who has supported. I will be back. these boosts that I received over the last period, I'm not going to read them out now, because I'll eventually just delete this episode from the feed and will be right back into the the normal swing of things.

So I will thank everyone who helped support back then. And yeah, until the I guess nearest future this is Kyrin out for the moment.
