UNRESOLVED: LaVena Johnson

It's the early morning hours of July, 2005, when the lifeless body of 19-year-old US soldier LaVena Johnson is discovered on base in Balad, Iraq. After an initial investigation her death is ruled a suicide, but for the family of LaVena Johnson something was not adding up. Visible wounds to LaVena's body, along with a chaotic crime scene leaves them to wonder - "what happened to their daughter?" Listen in as Maggie is joined by criminologist and host of "Women & Crime," Dr Meghan Sacks, and the two discuss the suspicious circumstances surrounding LaVena's death, including the decision to quickly classify her death a suicide.
