A short drive or train ride from Milan and its famous cousin Lake Como, beautiful Lake Maggiore is one of Italy's great northern lakes that offers stunning alpine scenery and a serene ambiance. Enchanting in all seasons, Lake Maggiore is best known for the incredible gardens and villa at Isola Bella, small local villages and mountain vistas.
