Rick Smith is on a mission to make the bullet obsolete. In 1993, after two friends were shot and killed in a road rage incident, he started TASER International with the goal to create non-lethal weapons that could one day outperform even lethal weapons. Today, the company is known as Axon Enterprise and also is the world leader in police body cameras, helping ensure police transparency and deterring excessive force. They are also run the largest data repository in the Microsoft cloud, with over 50 petabytes of police video data.
