Make sure that you're subscribed or head on over to Unmute show to search out old episodes hey, today I want to show you a quick way to get help related to keystrokes, and I'm going to show you two different things, mainly because the first one is going to be a little bit quick, and the second one might be more helpful for you if you've ever wondered, what did he do with those layered keystrokes? And what button do I need to press after I press Jaws key space? You can press Jaws key space space and then a question mark.

Heading level two general commands this brings. You to heading level two general commands, and you can down arrow or use.

Your read all keystroke hiding level two general commands. The following are commands generally available in this key layer. Restart Jaws or Fusion F four command search feature j screen shade toggle on off for privacy print screen toggle speech between full speech unless speech mode s while in less speech mode, toggle between speech on demand or full mute shift s show a list of recently received notifications. Repeat last notification shift n toggle toast notification announcement control n toggle volume control notifications for external multimedia devices grave accent review recent history of what was spoken h clear previous history of what was recently spoken shift h copy to clipboard the text of what was recently spoken control h research it feature view text currently on the clipboard c and I.

Tap the control key. You can go through these later. So again, Jaws Key space followed by question mark will put you in a virtual viewer window where you can view the keystrokes. Available in the layered Jaws keystroke command. Now that's good. Let's tap escape remote incident manager 45. Of 49 and as it said, if you press jaws Key space followed by J, like Juliet, it'll give you a tool you can use to search keystrokes. Let's give it a try.

Search for Jaws commands dialog search for colon Search for colon edit forms mode. You heard the little pop that told you that forms mode is on, and let's say you don't remember how to slow down speech type sl decrease voice rate, temporary and we can down arrow from there. Search for colon Edit SL heading level three link decrease voice rate, temporary alt ctrl page down shift two left selector.

Chord and as you can see, this gives you the keystroke necessary to perform the command. I don't want to do it temporary let's see what the permanent way to. Decrease speech rate decrease voice rate permanent Windows Alt control page down left selector chord heading level three link there you go. And we can see if there's any other keystrokes that start with SL. Decrease system volume control plus windows shift down arrow heading level three link hey. I didn't know that one.

Announce special symbols decrement mouse movement decrement home row left arrow heading level three.

Link wrapping to top and that's the keystrokes that have SL in their search terms. Not quite sure why SL works. I kind of like it because it's someone might naturally search for slow down instead of decreased speech rate. So that seems to work well. In recap, jaws key space followed by the question mark will bring you to a list of layered keyboard jaws commands. Jaws key space followed by the letter j will bring you to a search where you can search all of the jaws keystrokes.
