Have you ever wondered why something is taking so long to download? And maybe what is the speed of your Internet, especially if you're traveling? Well, I have just the app for you and it was free. It is the speedtest app by Ookla. Ookla and Speedtest is all one word of I was thinking about this. For the people that are attending conventions or traveling and staying in hotels, I'm thinking this would really confirm whether things are actually working, what the download speed is. Is it as advertised? Especially if you're paying for Internet from your provider, you really want to have what the company says you should be receiving. So some time ago I downloaded the speed test app and it confirmed that my speed was really abysmal. And so I upgraded. But I really wanted to make sure I was getting what I thought I was getting. And then, you know, time passed and I got another provider and now I really confirmed that I'm receiving the service that I'm expecting. So what I did too is I tested my friend's Internet and she was still on DSL, something like that. Really? Do we remember that? And it was no wonder why things were not working properly with visualizing services like IRA. So I would like to demonstrate a little bit of the speed test app for you. So we have the speedtest app open here menu button. There is this menu button and in here menu button. We have things like close button.

Create a free speed test account to. See all of your results in one place. Okay. Creating a free account. Create account button. There's that button. Sign into your account. Already have an account. Sign in link results.

Okay. The results is really interesting. The results button really is going to show you all the results of the various tests that you run to determine the speed that you have. So apparently I downloaded this back in 2020 and I had abysmal results back then. It was really ridiculous. And it's interesting to look back through the results of when I changed carriers and how those results got better and better. Then we have settings.

Settings. And I don't really change anything in there. There are some things having to do with a VPN and such. Create a free speed test account to. See all of your results. Create a sign in results settings about privacy and terms. Okay, sorry, the voiceover lost focus there. There's the about support. Support and the support really just has a contact link. It doesn't really have a lot of other useful things in it. Support and that close menu button.

Okay. And after the menu go button, here's the good part, the go button. This will run a speed test. And as you hear, I am using my iPhone and this is a 15 Pro. So we're going to do the speed test now. Go. Starting. Ping test. A gray number. Idle. Ping. 27 milliseconds. Three milliseconds. Jitter testing. Download a gray number on the black background. 25 emiss. Download. 423 megabits per second. Download. Ping. 392 milliseconds. 83 milliseconds. Jitter testing.

A gray number on the black background. 25 emiss. Okay, it read out all the results. As 64.3 megabits per second. Uploads. Ping. Result, 97 milliseconds. 37 milliseconds. Jitter test complete. Go button.

There you have it. The whole test read itself as it was doing each part, and it told me good information. I'm very happy with that. Very happy with the both the download and the upload. So there you have it. It really doesn't get any more complicated than that. It's very useful. It's free, it's $0.99 if you want to get rid of the ads. And then you will confirm the speed of your Internet, whether you want to know why things are downloading so slowly or you want to confirm that you're getting what you pay for.

Hey, y'all. Marty here. Today I'm going to be talking to you about the elgato Wave XLR audio interface. This thing is super simple to use and has all the features you really need. On the back, you have a USB. C port, a headphone jack, and phantom power. So you can give a little bit more power to a microphone that is.

Needs a little bit more power. On the front, you have a big round knob which you click to go through the different options, whether that's adjusting your gain, adjusting your mix, and adjusting your master volume. You also have on the top a capacitive mute. So basically anywhere on the top you can just tap it and it will mute and then tap it again and it will unmute. The wave XLR is super portable. You can put this in any go back and it doesn't take up a whole lot of room.

It's USB C, and when you plug. It into the computer, it has bus. Power and powers up the interface just off the power of the computer. So that's super convenient if you're on the go. This is a great little device if. You'Re looking for something portable or even at your home setup and looking for something super simple. So again, this is the wave XLR.

Made by Elgato, and it's a cool little simple interface if you want to use XLR microphones, and you don't want to have to deal with all of the biggest crazy fancy options and all that stuff that are on some larger interfaces. So check it out and enjoy with. Some of the unmute content we're producing and other items, video has become a. Little bit more important than maybe it. Was for me in the past. And if you've listened to any of. Our podcasts, you know we recommend not.

Using the built in microphone in your. Laptop to get high quality audio. Well, someone gave me a lesson and told me, hey Michael, you shouldn't use the built in webcam in your computer. To get high quality video.

So of course my wife went out and bought me an awesome little camera that is a USB type A camera. This is the Logitech C 935 E. That's Charlie 935 Ethereum. The Logitech C 935 E is a very small form factor camera that you perch on the top of your laptop screen or wherever you are having it held so that way it doesn't move. I was able to plug it into a Windows eleven computer, and it popped up as a camera that I could access and zoom. Actually picked this camera by default over the built in camera. The Logitech C 935 E camera does come with, I think it's probably about a six foot cable. It is wound up by default, and I've actually left mine mostly wound up. But if you need a 1080p webcam that does pretty good at capturing you. It does not have any automation for keeping you in frame. But once you use the face in view feature from jaws or other tools, you're able to make sure that your.

Face is centered, you're looking good on camera. And remember, have the light come from. Behind the camera, not from behind you. Logitech C 935 E a great webcam. We got it at Best Buy.
