Life takes us places, whether it's a trip across the country or just getting through a busy day. We recently went to New York to see my sister get her nursing degree. It gets cold on the plane. I was really glad I had my BITS hoodie. I covered up with it and felt nice and warm.

Comfort on the go makes all the difference. The Bits hoodie keeps you warm and cozy no matter where life takes you. So whether you're traveling or just out and about, stay prepared with bits. Visit joinbits.org to get your hoodie today.

Foreign I'm Lucy and welcome to another episode of All Things Lady A for the Unmute Presents podcast series. I hope that you all had a great month and you're ready to have some more fun today like we did last time. So I think I'm going to call this Fun with Word Games Part two. So I love to play games like I said last month and I have a call on the ACB Community platform called Games to Play with youh Lady A which happens on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 2pm Eastern Time. And we have lots of fun on that call. So if you get a chance, check it out. So today I want to do some games that I generally play every day. Sometimes I miss, but I try not to. We'll talk about three games, three puzzle games, and all of these have levels that you can play for free and they also all have levels that you can pay for to unlock higher levels and other puzzles that you can you can play every day. But we'll just concentrate on the free versions today. So the first one is called five letters and it is a lot like the New York Times version of wordle. If you've ever played that, you get six attempts to guess a five letter word that they have for the day. And the way I normally play this is I have five letters that I use every time and my word is audio A, U, D, I, O. And the reason I use that is that it has four vowels in it. And so it will tell you if any of those letters are present in the word, but it won't say where they are. It'll just tell you that they're not in the position that you said them in. And if that's not clear, we'll figure this out in a second. So let's go ahead and get started here. Amazon Open five Letters welcome to five Letters.

You have six attempts to guess a five letter word. Begin by saying five letters that form a valid word. I will let you know if they are in the word and whether they are in the correct position or not. If you have the Alexa app open on your phone, I will send you a list of the letters you have currently used. You might find it helpful to have a pen and paper handy as you play each round. I will give you one minute to think of your guess. You can ask for more time by saying more time. You can interrupt the timer at any point by saying Alexa followed by the five letters you wish to try. If you need to hear the rules, just say help at any time. You can also ask me what are my stats to hear how well you are doing. After each daily word, I will send you your score to your Alexa app and an link to easily share your result. What are your first five letters?

A U D I O. Letter A is not in the word. Letter U is not in the word. Letter D is not in the word. Letter I is in the word but at a different position. Letter O is in the word but at a different position. You have five attempts remaining. What's your next guess? Okay, so let's see. Amazon. N O I S E. Letter N.

Is in the word but at a different position. Letter O is in the word but at a different position. Letter I is in the word but at a different position. Letter S is in the word but at a different position. Letter E is not in the word. You have four attempts remaining. What's your next guess?

Well, now, so we know that we have N O I S. Okay, well, let us see. Let's see, let's see. Wow. This is. How about. Let's see. SN I SNO S O N. Let's see. Amazon. S O N I C. Letter S. Is in the word but at a different position. Dear. Letter O is in the word but at a different position. Letter N is in the word but at a different position. Letter I is in the word but at a different position. Oh, no. Letter C is in the word but at a different position. You have three attempts remaining.

So now we have all of the letters. Amazon C O I N S. Letter. C is in the word but at a different position. Letter O is in the word but at a different position. Oh no. Letter I is in the word but at a different position. Letter N is in the word and at position four. Letter S is in the word, and at position five, you have two attempts remaining. What's your next guess?

Oh, my heavens. Oh, what could it be? I've got all of the letters. Oh, no. Let's see. I'm not very good at this here. Well, let's see. Gosh, well. Gosh. Well, I'm not sure what to do here. Amazon. Oh, N, C, I, s. Your 5. Letters don't form a word in our dictionary. Yeah, Amazon. S, I, C, O, N. Oh, no, that's not right. Your five letters don't form. Of course not in our dictionary. Say five letters that form a valid word. Well, let's see here. Amazon, I, C, O, N, S.

Congratulations. You, the word icons. Just squeezing in there with five guesses. Thanks for playing. Come back tomorrow for a new word.

All right, so like I said, you can pay for a version of this that will allow you to do more than one puzzle a day. Often they will have words that I've never heard of before. And so it's a little bit harder than wordle a lot of times because wordle will most generally have words that are, you know, well known. But this one often does not. And it uses proper names sometimes, which I don't think should be allowed, but nobody asked me. Okay, so let's go on to the second game for today and that is puzzle of the day. Now this one I really like. You have five clues that you need to guess and the clues are all related in some way to form theme. So sometimes I get all five words but I don't get the theme for the day. So sometimes I don't get all five words. And you can ask the lady A to give you the word if you can't get it. But you certainly lose points if you do that. And I'm already on level 12, but I still have like a million 900,000 points to go before I get to level 13. So yeah, it's hard, but I do have the paid version of this one and it allows you to do a power puzzle each day. And that one has three clues that you need to get, but there's no theme to them. But we won't do that. We'll just do the puzzle of the day. So let's try this Amazon Open Puzzle of the Day Foreign.

Puzzle Grandmaster. 500 bonus points for playing 146 consecutive days. Want to hear how you ranked yesterday? No. Okay, ready to play? Yes. Okay. Thursday is user submitted puzzle day. Today's puzzle is by Jenny Liguori, a level nine puzzle pro. Good luck. Word one, opposite of big, five letters. What is your guess? Small. Perfect word two, recently born or very young. Four letters. What is your guess? Baby.

Perfect word three can exist happily on either land or in water. Nine letters. What is your guess? Skip word four. The act of locomotion in the water. Eight letters. Swimming. Outstanding. Word five. A small fresh body of water usually containing critters. Four letters. What is your guess? Lake. Sorry, it's not lake. Try again. Word 5. A small fresh body of water usually containing critters. Four letters. What is your guess? Pand.

Nice. Awesome job. That was today's hardest word. Word 3 can exist happily on either land or in water. Nine letters. What is your guess? Give me a letter. You reveal the first letter in Word 3. It is the letter A. Word 3 can exist happily on either land or in water. Nine letters. Give me a letter. You reveal the second letter in Word 3. It is the letter M. Word 3 can exist happily on either land or in water. Nine letters. Amphibian.

Perfect. Congratulations. You've finished today's puzzle. You've earned 250 bonus points for finishing in less than three minutes and 150 for your remaining letters. You've scored 975 points. You now have a chance to guess the puzzle theme. Your solved puzzle words. Small baby, Amphibian, Swimming and pond. The theme has one word with eight letters. The second letter is A. You can wager up to 975 points. What's your wager? Zero.

Avoiding the bet. That's a strategic move. Take your guess with ease. The theme has one word with eight letters. The second letter is A. Amazon. Tadpoles. With no wages. The final score is 975 points. With 975 points, you are 666 points below the average. You finished the puzzle faster than 41% of players. Come back tomorrow for the final report. Ready to begin the power puzzle? No?

Okay. You've already played today's puzzle. What would you like to do? You can see how you rank Amazon. Okay. See you tomorrow.

Okay. So. Darn it. I should have gone with my gut feeling. I thought it was tadpoles, but I wasn't positive so I didn't want to lose all of those points. But ah, darn. Okay, that's fun. I do that every day. And yeah, so you get bonus points if you. If you keep doing it every day. But if you miss a day, then you go back to only getting 50 bonus points for playing. Ah, so. All right, so the third one is called Puzzler. And this also, like I said, has a paid version, but it's a crossword game. So the, the daily puzzle has six clues and so it's kind of hard to visualize because you're, you know, not using braille or Anything to see where the letters are. But you got to kind of try to visualize it in your head where all these letters are going to intersect, like a crossword puzzle. So it's fun, but it's kind of hard. And then you can pay for a premium crossword puzzle every day, and that's really hard. It has up to, like, 36 clues, so. Okay, let's try this. Amazon, Open Puzzler.

Good morning. Welcome back to Puzzler. Would you like to play your daily crossword, premium crossword, or hear the high scores? Daily crossword. Here is your puzzle license to enter a country. There's four letters. Amazon Visa. Fantastic. Flower jar. First letter V. There are four letters. Amazon. Vase. Fantastic. Flower jar. First letter V. There are four letters. Amazon, V, A, S, S. Sometimes it doesn't understand you. Piece of cake or bread? First letter S. It has five letters.

Amazon, repeat. Amazon, repeat. The clue is flat. Piece of cake or bread. First letter S. Five letters. Amazon slice. Amazon. S, L, I, C, E. You've completed half of the crossword. On to the next clue. Nick, pinch S. Blank I, blank, blank. There's five letters. Amazon, skip. Amazon, skip. Okay, we'll skip this clue. Rubber mouthpiece on a baby's bottle. Blank E, blank, blank. Four letter word.

Oh, this one I'm probably not gonna know because they use the British language kind of slang and. Oh, darn. Amazon, skip. Okay, we'll skip this clue. Warmth. It has four letters. Oh, my gosh. Amazon, repeat. The clue is warmth. Four letter word. Amazon, heat. Let's hear the next clue. Nick, pinch S, blank I, blank E. Five letters. Ew. Amazon, skip. Amazon, skip. Okay, we'll skip this clue.

Rubber mouthpiece on a baby's bottle. Blank E, blank T. It has four letters. Oh. Amazon, T, E, A T. Amazon, T, E, A, T. Great stuff. Nick, pinch S, blank I, blank E. There are five letters. Amazon, give me a letter. Here's a clue. SW I, blank E. Amazon, swipe. I never heard of that. Hey, you've got all the answers. You did it in three minutes. Oh, that's terrible. This was your 205th fastest time for daily crosswords. Oh, dear. Main menu. Would you like to play your premium crossword?

Amazon, stop. Goodbye.

All right. Well, that was bad. I didn't do very well there on that daily crossword. I usually can get them in, well, less than a minute or a little bit over a minute. All right, so those are the three games that I wanted to show you today day. And next month we will try to talk about the new Alexa. That's coming out and hopefully I will have it by that time and I can try to demonstrate some of it for you. Amazon did have a press conference back in February and they did announce some of the new features that are going to be available. A lot of it obviously will have to do with AI artificial intelligence so I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing but we'll see. All right, so that's all we'll do for today. So just ask your lady A to play some of these games. We did Five Letters, Puzzle of the Day and Puzzler and there are lots more to choose from so I hope you got something out of this and can figure out how to play some of these games. And if you have any suggestions or feedback for me send an email to feedbackunmute Show. So we will be back next time and in the meantime everybody have fun with your lady A is bye for now.
