Here it is: the spiciest episode of the season. In arguably the biggest debacle in Philippine wrestling in 2016—and maybe the second biggest in modern history—thanks to a major lack of due diligence, the PWR roster (but not including Ro and some other wrestlers) is literally stranded in Batanes after another sponsored house show turns out to have only one-way tickets. The ensuing fallout leads to the downfall of the old regime in PWR, as well as perhaps the only match in Philippine pro wrestling...
After the debacle that was Manila Madness, things got a little better for PWR—at least for the next couple of months. The company runs a poorly promoted first south show in BF Homes, where Ro has his first well-received singles match versus one of his most iconic dance partners in Chino Guinto in the first bout of their storied rivalry. The upward trend continues in that year's Wrevolution X, which involves a (literally) big local celebrity.
If you're a longtime PWR fan (or you were there), this is one of the big stories you've been waiting for. 2016 was one of, if not the worst year in company history, and the red flags were waving in the wind very early on.
