If you've been following this podcast from the beginning, we will have explored together the stories and insights of incredible individuals who have reached that magical tipping point of moving from striving to being in flow. Over a hundred episodes have featured interviews with inspiring business owners, philanthropists, thought leaders and game changers. The wisdom shared by these amazing guests became the foundation for my third bestselling book, Be Brilliant. However, along this journey, something interesting happened. Many of you have reached out and asked for more. More of my story, more of my business journey and more of what I have learnt. Surprisingly, there has also been a demand for more solo episodes. Although it’s much easier to put the spotlight on someone else, I’ve decided to take the advice of a wise individual who once told me to "do it scared." So here I am, doing it scared, with a simple intention to serve you by sharing what I have learnt. Buckle up, my friends. It’s going to be a wild ride as I share the messy, beautiful journey of how I got where I am. Here's to doing it scared. Here’s to the unexpected. And here's to unleashing the brilliance within each and every single one of us.

I am not a white man

For centuries, the archetype of a successful businessperson has been a middle-aged white man, shaping our teachings and practices. But times have changed. More women are entering the workforce and entrepreneurship, yet we still struggle to break free from outdated moulds. Businesses are not one-size-fits-all, and if we allow ourselves to be held back by societal pressures we’ll never reach our full potential. It’s important to question why you operate your business the way you do. If it's outdat...

Why Building a Business on Referrals is not a Strategy

Building a business on referrals is not a strategy. Now, there was a time when becoming successful in business was pretty simple. You’d have a couple of great products with a great service and soon you'd be renowned as the go-to expert in your area. However, simply relying on referrals for 100% of your business no longer works in this highly competitive world we are in. I’ve had many business owners come to me for help because their referrals have dried up and they’re left with no leads. Their p...

4 Reasons Saying NO Really Matters

We all know that “no” is a word we need to get better at saying. In fact, we need to start saying “no” more and “yes” a whole lot less. But why do we find it so hard? And why is it important that we get into the habit of saying “no” more frequently? Like so many other women in business, I’ve felt the intense pressure to be perfect. I’ve tried to be everything to everyone all at once: the world’s best mother, manager, partner and friend. And while I value those roles greatly, my past people-pleas...
