From the King of Sports Books comes the Key Sports podcast Unleashed, presented by MGM. Here's your host, Olivia Harlan Decker. Welcome back to Unleashed from the King of Sports Books Bet MGM. I'm Olivia Harland Decker and this week I'm joined by my guest host, Tom Takar. We're going to run down the latest sports headlines, worst takes, and finally hang out with our friend Peter Andrew with our lions locks. Tom,
thank you so much for joining us. I just want to confirm because I have one of those names that's misspelled and mispronounced a lot as well. Am I saying
¶ Tom Thakker
to Car right, you got it, Olivia, And I just want to say I'm so glad to be on the show. I've been looking forward to talk at sports with the all weekend. I am so excited and it is to Car and I appreciate you asking. Our names are actually spelled kind of similarly here, but I I gotta tell you, I was waiting for the recording to tell you this because I think you're gonna like this. But so, my name is Tom ta Car. That is my father's last name is ta Car, but my legal name because my
parents were never married. Is tom Brady, as you can imagine. I I had to change it because doing stand up with the name tom Brady was not a pleasant experience. I'm sure, yeah, I'm sure, especially depending on what city you'd be in right exactly. And I don't know if you knew this, but I'm from Indiana, Olivia, and people in Indiana do not like tom Brady because of the Peyton Manning tom Brady rivalry from back in the day.
It's not even really a rivalry anymore, Colts versus Patriots, but it's still held over in in a lot of Indie in his people's minds. So I had to change it because I would do I didn't show in Indianapolis, and I'm not kidding. I got booed like I would get booed. It happened in Buffalo too, where I got booed. The breaking point for me was I had an intro from a guy who was like, he saw my name on the list and he didn't know who I was.
I was I was still a kind of newer to comedy and he was like, you guys aren't gonna believe who's coming up next. And he was like, we all hate the Patriots, right, and they were like yeah, and we love the cults. Yeah, and then he goes who is the biggest What he said was we might have to believe this out, but he said, who is the biggest bitch you can think of? Who plays for the Patriots? And without any hesitation, they all just in unis and went Tom Brady and then he just went, yeah, here
he is. And then I had to go on stage and they all started booing and then he was like, hey, I have a good seb Like he didn't understand that he uh, he had put me in such a bad situation, but yeah, it was yeah, pretty bad. So I had to change it. So when you walked out on stage, people are like, oh, you would think they would do that. Yeah, you would think they would do that. But no sports fans. You know, I'm one of them. I get it. We're crazy.
But it would happen in a lot of cities and a lot of like it was just a very you know, hokey thing, and I had to separate from it. So I changed my name to my father's name, which is Tom Takar oh Man. But now you have the issue, which I do all the time. As well, people asking how to pronounce it exactly exactly. But I'll trade it. I'll trade it for the I mean, it's still on my I D so I still get when I go to the airport, they're like, ohre and it's pretty grutt.
I'm going to guess that's in the South. When someone asked it in that that's that's a good point. That's my impression of anybody. I'm in New York City. Where's just that's good that Tom. You said you're excited to talk sports, and we've kind of been talking about what we want to focus on, and I know you can't wait to talk n B A. But you're a baseball
fan as well. And something huge happened in the MLB this week, so big, yes, So the MLB is implementing a ten day suspension if they catch any baseballs with a foreign sticky substance. Now, this mostly targets pictures, but outfielders you know, also talk about this too. This really is for control of the ball, which leads to better spin rate. So when a ball has that like grip to it, it's easier to increase the spin rate, which makes it really hard to hit. So teams were getting
very creative and making these concoctions. It could be as simple as a little sun screen, and then people were making these really sophisticated combinations with glue of all sorts. So you know, Trevor Bauer led the charge on this. He conducted his own experiments for years of saying, these are games I used some stick, these are games I didn't. And when the ball has a little stick, according to Trevor Bauer, he says, it can add up to two
hundred to three hundred revolutions per minute. That's huge. And I think what's so interesting about this is, you know, hitters have never been better, the athleticism has never been better, recovery has never been better. So this was pictures ways to catch up. And then we saw, you know, such high strikeout rates and it's it's super controversial, Tom, But the main thing that's controversial is that they're now changing the rules mid season. Insane. It's insane that they would
change at mid season. And I think it has to be just a panic about ratings and about I mean, the league likes hits. The league like home runs, and when strikeouts are way up like this and batting averages are way low, their panicking and they're going people, we need people watching baseball because people are already. Baseball gets the most slept on. Baseball gets the most made fun of. I think, besides maybe soccer about being too boring. I don't like watching uh no hits, you know, and you know,
true baseball fans. I love watching strikeout counts get high. I love watching what people do with the high revolution rate. But like it's it's tricky though. It's it is a tricky thing, and I don't really know how to feel about it because it is a player enhancing thing. The
league has known about it forever. I mean, we saw a guy with a neck full of sticky stuff on it and it finally to get called out, And even when that happened, the opposing team's manager was like, I didn't even really want to call that out because we all know that everybody's doing it. You know, everyone's doing it exactly. So it's like a thing that the league
has known about all this time. And I think it's just a panic move, and I think it is dangerous because what they're claiming is that it's it's adding to hit by pitches, and that's I don't know how true that is, but definitely changing everybody's pitching midway through the season. I think we are going to see some people get hurt. I think there's a good chance people are getting hit by balls. It will be interesting to see the stat
split from this point forward. I think it's wild that they changed it ind way through this season because it definitely could have been handled after the season, and there's technology that's two pre mud balls to kind of fix this, where supposedly might be rolled out as soon as next season. And I think that it's just kind of I think it's a desperation Kiev to get ratings up. I kind
of agree. And you mentioned it's dangerous. Tyler Glass now already said removing the use of these substances led to his injury. And it's it just it changes the whole format. You know, I'm not a picture, but it's it doesn't take a genius to figure out how this would change the whole game. The pictures are very angry at the grip of baseball's in general. It's not uniform. It's not every time you go to a different park, you know, it's gonna feel different, like with football's. You know, the
way that they loosen them up. But Garrett Cole Yankees Picture, vented about it recently, and I think this is a perfect way to sum up the way the players feel about that. Let's roll that tape. It's so hard to grip the ball. I just you know, I mean, for Pete's sake. It's part of the reason why almost every player on the field has has something, regardless of their
picture or not help them control the ball. I don't have a solution, but again, we are aligned in a lot of areas with the Commissioner's office on this, and please just talk to us, Please just work with us. I know you have the hammer here, but we've been living in a gray area for so long. I would just hate to see players get hurt. Would I would hate to see ball start flying at people's heads. I had a really tough time grip in the baseball tonight,
especially earlier when it was windy. So I don't really care to be inflammatory here, Joel. I just I'm just gonna leave it at that. I love so much the part it's he's very upset. You can tell he's like emotional about about it. I think it's because he's scared. You can hear the fear in in his voice that about what's about to happen. But I just love when he goes for Pete's sake. I couldn't believe I had to look up where he was from. For Pete's sake. I thought for sure he was from the Midwest, and
he's from California. I was shocked. That sounds very Midwest. What's another like colloquial thing. That's a clean way to show frustration that you've heard growing up in Indiana? Oh, definitely, just going ope is definitely yeah. Gosh, darn it, man said, darn it. Oh golly, brother, my brother just out of nowhere. Because Indiana is weird. It's not really the South, but all of a sudden people will just have a Southern accent. My brother just all of a sudden started going golly,
And I was like, what happened to you? We grew up in the same house. Oh that is so good. Well, I was telling you that this past weekend, I was watching the Bucks game with my husband. We're in Sheboygan, Wisconsin right now, which is an hour north of Milwaukee, so Bucks Country, and we spend the summer here. My husband's from here. People here are amazing, but watching a Bucks game with a bar full of Wisconsin locals is
a comedy show in and of itself. I mean, the oh no, That's exactly what I wanted to hear from you, Olivia. I was watching that Bucks That's Game seven, and I was thinking of you because you said that you would be in that area, and I was just imagining the cacophony of oh no when Durant hit that turnaround. Oh James Harden. Also, it's such a curse for them that Janice is their guy. Like hearing them say honest has to be a delight. Honest, but it's just you're right.
Cacophony is the perfect word of the old good one overtime or time. I really hope some of my friends are not listening to this, but there's such good people. In fact, when I first met my future in laws, I kind of looked at my husband wide eyed because he's traveled so much, lived all over. I think he's lost his Wisconsin act excent. But my in laws are like born and raised in this town Sboria, Wisconsin. My father in law and just the local accident, it's pretty rich.
I I sometimes feel like I need subtitles. But no, it's let's talk more about the Buck series now because now they're in the Eastern Conference Finals playing the Hawks, and look the Hawks. Their season is one to be studied because it was thought to be over data losing record. At All Star Break, they fired their head coach in March.
In room coach Nate McMillan changed the culture, he changed the style they played with, and they still finished at just forty one and thirty one in the regular season. Now they're in the Eastern Conference Finals for just the second time in fifty years, facing the coach that last got them there, my commuty Holder, and then walking, Oh my god, it's crazy. It's crazy. And I gotta tell you,
I mean, maybe this is a wild take. I think that if we could recast, if we could give out head Coach of the Year in retrospect, yeah, I'd give it to Nate McMillan because it's insanein what he's done. And I love Nate McMillan. I was devastated when the Pacers let him go because I thought I thought he was great. And what they've done is crazy. And this whole playoffs is so fun and so wild, and I
gotta thank the Son. I gotta not the Sun. I gotta thank the Hawks because it's the first bet that I won all year where I bet Hawks Game seven because the line was so good that I was like, I gotta give it a shot. And I couldn't even watch the game because I was doing a show. And the second I got off stage, my buddy was like, the Hawks won, and I was I dropped to my knees.
I couldn't believe it. And I watched it later, and it's just if you had told me the Trey Young before the game, if you told me Trey Young is going to go five of twenty four tonight, yeah, I go, this is the way the Hawks are winning. And then three of those in the fourth quarter as well. Insane, just pure clutch. He never looked in doubt. And I love it. I love I love everything about it. I wouldn't have picked any of these teams to still be in it, to be totally honest. No offense to the
Bucks or the Clippers for that better. But I just didn't know. I didn't see this happening, even the Suns. I didn't. I mean, if if we're talking about playing stuff like I thought the Lakers would be here. I thought I thought Utah would be here for sure. It's it's oh. I thought Brooklyn would would go all the way. I thought I would have put money for Brooklyn to win sixteen straight games. I would have put money down on that because I'm sure it would have been good.
And it's like, you know, we have we obviously saw injuries and stuff, but nonetheless, I mean big shots coming. I think Chris Middleton has turned into such a stud and it's very important because I think something that was missing in the past for the Bucks is not having guys hit shots that you can trust besides the honest and it's just not gonna happen that Joanna scores a hundred points a game like he he needs back up. And I know I'm a little all over the place here.
I'm just so excited because it's so many it's so many things. But sticking with the Bucks nets, I wanted to know how you felt about this because we talked about trays, stat line, Drew Holiday similar stat line and overtime. He's taking shots where you're like, what is and he
had hit some big fourth quarter shots. But I'm curious how you guys felt in that bar watching an overtime where the Bucks don't score until a minute and what eight seconds left, and you're watching Drew Holiday take shots when he's already like four of you know, twenty was were people pissed? Well, And that's the thing. I think in any series, when you're cold, you're cold, like know when you're cold, and you know, sit your gas down more or less. But it's no the bar was freaking out.
Everyone's just trying to figure out who can shoot. And then anytime your honest goes to the free throw line, it's just everyone's doing the count and he is every he's going over ten seconds, he's averaging like twelve or thirteen seconds at the free throw line. So that's that's a whole other thing. So I'm excited to watch that, you know what time. I'm actually going to the Hawks
Bucks game one Wednesday, and I'm very excited, jealous. Well, and I'm a little torn because we're obviously big Bucks fans, but I worked for the Atlanta Hawks for three years. I'm a huge Hawks fan. But that coaching staff that was there the last time they went to the Eastern Conference finals, like I said, was coach Bud and his merry men. So last time I was there, so I don't know what to wear Wednesday night. This air's Thursday morning.
I'll be happy whoever wins. I think you got to do one of those split jerseys, like when a mom has a kid on both teams. Yeah, when a mom, Yeah, that's that's the cool look I'm going for. I don't know, though. It's gonna be really fun. It's just fun to watch like a state come to life, like this whole state of Wisconsin. You know, we only have one NBA team, one MLB team, one NFL team, So it's a huge group of people who's freaking out right now. So it's
really fun. But Tommy got to talk about the West a little bit. So the Clippers advanced to face the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals. Phoenix took Game one on Sunday behind a forty point triple double from Devin Booker. Let's go book Chris Paul is still out in COVID protocol day play again Tuesday and Thursday night
this week? What do you see in that series? I am at a loss here, man, because it is so tricky because you're missing I mean, we don't know what's gonna happen with Kauai and then with Chris Paul it's like it's it's so it's so tricky to see what's gonna happen. But I think the Clipper is gonna come back. I think it's gonna be I think we're gonna see one one series here personally, because it's just gonna be hard to keep book that lit up and a forty point triple double is a rare, rare feet and it's
I believe it was his first triple double. It was. It's gonna be tough to keep doing that. And I hope he doesn't get too tired because I love watching him play. And uh, either way, it's gonna be exciting to watch. I think we're gonna see Paul George really come to life. I think it's gonna be very interesting. Did you see what playoff p said about this team? Though he said they're more guard heavy than other teams they've played, It's like, uh, yeah, I think they look incredible. Um,
but overall, I think you're right. The Clippers has been a team of adjustments in this playoff. They started both prior series down oh to They're the first team in the NBA history to pull that off. So I like, you know, when their backs against the wall and a team can come together, I think that's really impressive. And kind of going back to the Hawks, That's why I like the Hawks because when Trey Young goes, they still
figured it out. So I think, you know, sometimes with the team, if they're best player, they go as he goes. That's not the case with Atlanta. They figured it out. They you know, we saw red Velvet gets works Red Velvet. I can't wait to talk more with Peter Andrew later in the show about some of the lines on these series because there's a lot of question marks, but everyone's got an opinion these days. And up next we are going to look at the worst takes that we think
and we're seeing. Okay, Tom, the best thing about this time of year, especially when you're watching game after game after game, is getting on Twitter and seeing the way everyone else is reacting to the game that you're watching and you see outlandish things on there. And we thought it'd be fun to have a segment called Worst Takes play on words with first Take. So tell me some
of your tops. So here's I'm gonna I'm throwing some of my own in here, so I'll start with one of my own to make it fair to to everybody. So these are takes that you would defend, but that you know someone out there is going you're wrong for that. I imagine a sound clip coming in here that's like, you're wrong for that one. So here is my worst take. This week, we all saw Ben Simmons. Oh, I knew it was going to be that terrible story this week. It's been tough to watch him play and also have
to watch the media about him. And here's my worst take. I think that Ben Simmons would have a slick j I think he would have a sweet jumper if he was not so hot. I think if he was an ugly man he could shoot. Because here's my thoughts on it. He his life is too good. He's a handsome dude, he's Australian, He's got the world in front of him. He's got his money, he got his payment already, like
the check is there. He doesn't have any incentive to learn to shoot, other than you know, Philly fans burning his jerseys, which did happen this week. It's brutal for him. But like I think that if he really had to look in the mirror at just an uggo face, that he had a tough life with that. Because I'm from Indiana, everybody there can shoot and people look weird out there. You know, everybody has a hot jumper out there because we don't. We don't have a lot of male models
coming out of Indiana. So really, yeah, I mean, maybe I should do some more research on that, But that's that is uh, that is my worst take. I think that I think that Ben's Emmons could shoot if he was ugly. I think, sticking with that, the worst take would be anyone who dates Kendall Jenner then has a bad season, Yeah that's the problem. But look at Devin Booker. Now they're still together, So maybe there's something about you know, once you're an ex of her struggle, I could be
a dev book. You better, you better be careful because you don't want the type of media attention that Ben Simmons is getting right now, where everybody is immediately watching I mean this whole series, the whole series. It was just tragic to watch him fall apart, and just not even fall apart, just disappear. And then I saw a stat the worst playoff free throw shooting percentage. I think it was an NBA history for somebody who's shot over seventy the worst percentage of all time, which is crazy.
I think it was something like thirty four percent. And you're a guard. You're a guard. You've got to be able to hit those. And it's I mean, this is the Indiana and me, like I said, everybody in Indiana can shoot, and we're it's a city, it's his state full of old men who watch people shoot free throws and miss and I could. I could do that, and so it's that that's in my blood. So watching Ben Simmons, hey, that sounds kind of like that security guard. You're gonna
notice a lot of my characters. And you know what else is after the game, they asked Doc Rivers, can he be a guard on a championship team? And as cold as ice stock, Rivers says, I don't know that. Oh it's brutal. Yeah, watch and you want to go, you want to shake Doc Rivers and go like just say yes, just say yes, like it doesn't hurt you to just say yes. But no skin off your back. It's just going to add to Ben Simmons, nightmare when
he goes home and gets on the set exactly. I wonder what his phone looked like, because I mean, it's the story of the it's the story of the playoffs right now. Besides, you know, these these Cinderella like teams getting there. But the story of the Playoffs right now is Ben Simmons passing on an open dunk and saying, oh sorry, I thought that it was gonna get blocked from behind, which all reality, that's you getting fouled probably,
and he's passed it off. And it's this mentality and if here's another worst take and people are not gonna like this, this one could really upset some people. But maybe Philadelphia is a is a climate that is messes with people's heads. I mean, look at more Cot Folts, like, it's a place that if you mess up, like I said, go on Twitter. There's people burning Ben Simmons jerseys after that game, and it's like, you know, there's so much pressure and it's it's kind of like that thing where
it's like if I don't shoot, I can't miss. You know, it's the opposite of the Michael Jordan's quite Yeah, you don't miss the shots. You don't drink. I feel like Ben Simmons is playing with that mentality of like, well, if I don't do this, if I'm a disher, if I you know, the spotlight is not on me, and then people won't be mad at me. Where it's the opposite, where it's like, if you're making that much money, you've got to be trusted to be a factor in the
fourth quarter. And it's crazy that the smart option for doc rivers is to take you out of the game in the fourth quarter. That's that's insane And what are you they paying you for exactly exactly if not crunch time in a playoff game. I I totally agree. Okay, what's another worst take? This one again? Maybe people will disagree that this is the worst take. I think it is just because I think that this season has been so fun to watch and for real basketball fans, I
think you're having a good time watching this. But this is from at two ray A k a young daddy. He says, is this not a nightmare for the NBA? None of the big crossover stars are left in the playoffs. Guys who casual basketball fans know and want to watch, No Lebron, Steph Durant Luca. Only one of the top fifteen best selling jerseys are still playing. This is not good for the league. Well, let me digest that one a little bit, because, yeah, there's layers of truth in that. Now.
I always think from a TV standpoint, I always think the NBA, the NFL, the NHL, whatever, they want, big markets. Yes, so ultimately if it were you know, Lakers nets, that would have been their dream. Sure finals, But I do think that there's something about that. But now, I mean, I think Janice is a star exactly. Yeah, Janice is a star. How do you not see that? As I think this is how stars are born. Trey Young is going to be a top selling jersey next Absolutely, I
think that for sure he will. And I like that Kevin Durant quote tweeted this. It was like, what does this guy know about basketball? And he has a great quote from earlier this season, which is that he says NBA fans don't like anything about the NBA and it's weird, which is like, if you're an I don't understand how if you're an NBA fan you're not like gobbling this up where it's so exciting. I do think I think Trey Young is going to be high selling jersey. Yes,
we'll see. I think Devin Booker could be too. If if Booker keeps putting on shows like he did the other night, I think we're going to see a lot of book or jersey sell There needs to be rude. Paul George. Yeah, Paul George. Paul George not a star. If he comes, he comes, Christ stars, their stars. The stars are out and you know they're they're just literally out there. Uh So those are those are the two
the two takes from this week. I think that there's a lot of worse takes out there to read in the future, but those are two that I thought it would be fun for this week, given to everything we're seeing in the NBA. I like that now you brought up Trey Young and I know later we're talking to Peter Andrew about some of our um you know, finals, MVP favorites and stuff, and I know he's got a
good line there for Trey Young. But you've been curious about like his hair and if people may be wearing his wig, so maybe they aren't gonna be buying his jersey but buying his wig. What do you think about that? I think that they could be buying his wig. I think he does look like a scarecrow, so that people might be buying scarecrows of trade young and putting them to guard their corn. You think he looks like a scarecrow? Okay, and Indiana boy bringing up their corn being guarded. That's
not something most out of people. I think it's out of respect. You gotta guard that car. He looks a little bit like a scarecrow. I don't care what he looks like. I just wanted to score Wednesday night. I'm cheering for him. He's so fun to watch. We called him a couple of weeks ago the heel of the NBA, like he likes being the villain. He's a fun villain too, because you can tell he's having a good time with it.
And I think that most fans and I do, think it's a lot of like it's a lot of Knicks people who were calling him a villain, like really hanging on him about it. The shosh at the garden and it's like I thought, I wanted, I'm gonna be honest and this is sacrilegious. A Pacers fan, I was rooting for the Knicks just for the story and I live in New York. As much as everybody was expecting the Nets to win, I have not seen one Nets Jersey
in this town. And uh, I think when he was really I think everybody was kind of like, oh, the Knicks are gonna be fun. And then watching him do that, he was like, no, this ain't your year, this is three year, and I thought it was really cool. He literally silenced them. That was That was when Trey Young came to life and got more on the national landscape of Trey Young at MSG will be like what we remember from his playoff series unless he does something crazy
in Milwaukee. I'm excited to see if he does. I can't wait. So Peter Andrews coming on next, Let's ask him what he thinks. Well over the weekend, John ram
¶ Lion's Lock
at just twenty six years old, one the US Open. It was his first major, it was his first Father's Day. He's the first Spaniard to win the US Open. It's also the same course he won his first PGA Tour event back in seventeen and where he proposed to his wife and just two weeks after coming down with COVID and having to withdraw from the memorial. I mean you can't write the story any better, but you can predict it, and that's exactly what Peter Andrew did. Peter, You've got
to feel pretty good about that one. Yeah, if you listen last week, gave that as one of my three picks. You kind of nailed it. He's played really well in the past that Tory. Couple of those pots on Sunday were unbelievable in seventeen and eighteen. But he had a really good round as we got towards the later half of the tournament Saturday and Sunday, and well deserved Louis who's has in a fine result. But but John rom just wanted him more at the end, and a couple
of those puts ended up stealing it. And depending on when you got it on bet MGM pre tournament was either plus thousand plus eleven hundreds somewhere around that. That realm, So you made yourself a nice chunk of change ten dollars made a hundred bucks. Basically. I love it. I like to think that every TV set in every living room or on America was watching that at celebrating Father's Day, grilling out whatever it was. That was such a fun way to spend that Sunday. I was at the MGM
Springfield and the place just erupted. It was absolutely crazy. Guys, I guess I wasn't the only one that had John ram on Sunday. Yeah, I guess not. How about this weekend in Connecticut Travelers. Yeah, so Traveler's Tournament starts on Thursday, TPC River Highlands. I think you have to look at a couple of people that have done well in the past. There, Bubba Watson a couple of years ago, one the Travelers forty five to one odds this weekend, I think it's
worth putting a couple of bucks there. Dustin Johnson defending champion twelve to one. I think that's really good value there. And one kind of under the radar that I really like this week. He's a two fifty two one, so don't be surprised if he doesn't do as well. But Doug him. He's actually an MGM Resorts sponsored golfer. He's in really good form lately. I'd like to put five
bucks on him, just give it a shot. I think oftentimes you see some of these guys who fall under the radar a little bit have performed well a couple of tourments this year, like him at the Players. You see them make a nice result and he's in good shape. So I'm gonna put five ten bucks on him. See what happens? Hell, yeah, Peter, I gotta tell you, I finally gotta win by betting on the Hawks, and uh, lucky win And I want to keep hot. What what are we what are we seeing in the NBA? What? What?
What's a safe bet for me? Yeah? So if we talk about that Hawks Bucks series, First of all, who thought they'd be here in the conference finals. But if you didn't, there's still really good values. So Hawks plus eleven hundred to win the NBA title. It's above and beyond different than three of the other teams, the Clippers, Sons, and Bucks. I think you still have really good odds there. A couple of weeks ago, also, I gave Trey Young as Finals m v P at plus eighteen hundred. Yeah,
he's still at plus twelve hundred, which is again great value. Wow, I think if you lean, I'm putting money on that. Yeah. Absolutely. If you lean neither of those, you can't go wrong. And even if you have someone else, it's a good hedge. Opportunity. So even if you have something on the Bucks, maybe you put a couple of bucks on them and and hands it out a little bit. But but the way the Hawks are playing team basketball, you know, Bucks had a it round, but they were helped a little bit
by injuries. I think the Hawks are the better team. Really. Wow, Okay, that's a hot take and I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna run with it. Is there a place where I can bet on how many people are gonna wear Tray Young wigs to the game? Wherever you can find it? Just take the over? Yeah, I love it. Well. They played three times this season. The Bucks won the first two, but were, like we were talking earlier Peter about Trey Young having a bad night in the Hawks still pulling
it out. So what are some player related bets in this series? Yeah, so game by game we offer things on bet mgam over unders, on points, steals, rebounds, etcetera. I think you look at guys like Bognanovish and take some of his overtotals, which I think will be right around the sixteen seventeen mark. I think if you can expect, or you want to forecast, the Tredy Young maybe not's a great day because of the pressure they're gonna put
on him. I think you look at some of those shooters who are really consistent and take some of those overs. You can even take some of the combo one so to record triple double or double double. Some of those guys a John Allens would be a great example. I think they're just more of a complete team. And you get Bucks that can be a bit streaky. I mean we see honest when he's on the three throw line
shooting in general, they're just not as consistent. And when you have a team like the Hawks that have three or four guys at any given moment on the court that can shoot from the perimeter, from mid range, they can make layups, they can pass the ball, that's typically going to win you a game when it matters most. So I really like it's just taken some of those point totals over and you can expect a couple of
the hit over to the West Clippers sons. Kawhi Leonard is still out with a sprained right knee, and then also Marcus Morris got hurt in Game one, barely played in the second half. So Peter, how is that affecting the line on that series. A couple of things I like, I think the Clippers do make it as series. I think Paul George's has really kind of committed to being that guy with Kauai out, So I see that series going over five and a half games, that's minus one currently.
I still do think the Suns take it, but I think it's gonna be a dog fight for a couple of these games. And then the other thing with Kauai out again, Reggie Jackson has shown up. I mean, he's flat out scored the basketball. He's been relied on by his teammates. You're getting really favorable odds at minus one of five for him to score twenty or more, which he's done quite a bit since Kauai's absence. So really
like him kind of being that second shooter for the team. Obviously, there's going to continue to be a big focus on Paul George and what he does with the basketball, passing the basketball, shooting the basketball, but Reggie Jackson has really kind of solidified himself as the second option. Now do we have any numbers on my man? Man man, I wish I should have pulled if I would know, and I would absolutely. I shouldn't. I shouldn't have said you.
That's my bad. No, No, if I knew that off the top of my head, that would have been something else. I mean, that's true. It's just that he was such a factor and was left wide open so much so. I mean, we'll see such a great player to watch. Yeah, all right, I didn't mean this screw up there. I threw you for a loop. All right. We'll be more prepared next time, Peter, And thanks for thank you. But let's win some money. I'm I'm excited to win some
