From the King of sports books comes the key sports podcast Unleashed, presented by bet MGM. Here's your host, Olivia Harlan Decker. Welcome back to Unleashed by bet m VM. What a great week in sports. You know, this is kind of our last push of games being on TV because late July August it's so slow leading up to the regular season in the NFL. So we gotta soak
¶ Interview with Alex Moffat
this up. People. Let's savor this. We'll preview the Sun's Buck series in a bit. We'll bring in our betting expert Peter Andrew at the end. And when I say we, I mean myself and this week's co host. I am very excited to be joined by Saturday Night Lives Alex Moffatt. He was making me laugh earlier just as we kind of met on the phone. He's gonna make you all laugh on this episode, Alex. Welcome to Unleashed, Olivia. It's a pleasure. Hey, Gang, it's so exciting to have you
on my friend. This is cool, This is a blast. So did I hear that right? Bet MGM slogan is what a week in sports? No, that's that's my slogan because you said, brought to you by bet MGM, what a week in sports, and then you went into the whole thing about enjoying these days of summer. So I can send that at the flagpole. We can try, but I believe our real slogan, our tagline is the king of sports books, the king of sports books. Okay, I
better get that down. You know what, we'll we'll white board it is that what they say, white boarded where they like work on new stuff. I don't know. You're the professional here, you're the TV man. We're up to a great start, Olivia. I'm excited to be here. We're partying today. When you hear like Saturday Night Love, Alex Moffitt, do you get chills like you're in it still a little bit. I mean chills has taken it a little far, but I definitely I pinched myself and then I get
the chills. Yeah, yeah, it's I'm still very tickled to death that I get to do this job. It was always the dream. I always kind of thought, well, how the heck would that ever happen? And then somehow it did, like a thunderbolt of good luck, lightning that old expression. I've been having a ball. I just finished my fifth season, and yeah, I still do get very excited when I hear that. So throughout this if you could do the
whole preamble before my name, that'd be great. Every time anytime you address me, just say s N Hell's Alex Moffitt and all get real chilly. No it does. It sounds good live from Saturday Night. No, but really, when you had the COVID year we were just talking about that, you guys had to do it all from home. Was that as painful as I am? And it would be, yeah, pretty much, depending on how painfully you're imagining it. He is probably right in that ballpark. Well, I saw you
setting up your zoom in audio, so I imagine pretty painful. Yea. A tech guy, it was a director's nightmare. We would have the you know, we would sort of like zoom with the director, but also be like filming on the phone.
My god, I mean it's going back to work this past fall for the actual season where we weren't doing it at home just felt even though everyone was wearing masks and it was like mid pandemic, it felt really nice to go back and know that I would not have to sit in front of my computer for three hours dropping files into a Google Drive, and that that was an entire department's job to take care of the
tech side, not my forte. So yeah, but the SNL at homes, I mean, don't get me wrong too, by the way, to get to do that during a pandemic nothing but uncertainty in the world US and but sort of mayhem, chaos and like despair and a lot of like to actually have something to do was great. To have a job was even better. To have it be in comedy was even better. And to know that like it was maybe helping on some teeny tiny level with people.
Just to have like something new to laugh at it was kind of in a way, sort of like an honor to get to be a part of that. So yeah, absolutely, But setting up my mic ain't my forte as you noticed, No, no, Well, and at the beginning of the year, and this would have been when you were back in studio, but you had your first child. I did, My wife did most part. But yes, we had we had our little girl in January.
And actually so I started playing sitting President Joseph Robinett Biden this year in December and then in January literally on Inauguration day, our little gal came into the world. So yeah, so like the night before Inauguration day, and she was three and a half weeks early, like, she was not do for a while, and we were not expecting this. And my wife and I you know, we used to party pretty hardy, eat some you know, Turkish food around midnight, watched some Seinfeld around one that kind
of thing, you know, yeah, real punk rock couple. But anyway, so we were doing that and then we're like laying down to watch some Seinfeld that literally like one thirty in the morning, and she heard a pop. Oh my god, and stood up and it was there was like literally a puddle on the floor like in the movies. And a lot of people think like, oh, because of the movies, everybody's water always breaks and that's how it happens. It's like ten percent of the time or something like that
that the water actually breaks. So she she heard a gafluch and then I bet your wife loves you telling this story to everyone, but she does. She yeah, it's your favorite thing. And so we and we were also planning on doing like a home birth. Wow, I know. So we had had like had hired a doula, a midwife who was going to bring like an inflatable pool and everything. Am I getting too detailed in the story of my child? I mean I haven't had kids, and so maybe for me I kind of have like a
squeamish feeling right now through all this. Sure, no, no, no, keep going. I'm sure our sports fans listeners love. I bet anybody tuning in too, bet MGM for like, what's the lying on the game tonight is gonna love this story about midwives. So she here's a pop, feels a good flush, yeah, and she's you know, soaked, and so
we called the duel. I was like, all you guys, gotta go to the hospital and so like that through and and our baby was breached, which means upside down, not a big deal, but it just means it's going to be a C section. So we went to the hospital. Anyway, long story short, I don't need to give you the whole you know of it, but anyway, we get there and they can't do a c section immediately because we've just eaten, and so we just hang out there five hours and they were like, we can give you some
pain meds. And my wife was like I think I'm gonna actually just do this naturally as long as I can, so that I experienced childbirth so that I know what it's like for next time, which I know. So she was experiencing like fast and furious contractions. And as I'm saying all this, I am in my head going yes, the listener to the bet mgm unleashed, just going fast forward, fast forward, best forward. We're also we're sports and lifestyle, and I don't know what's more lifestyle than you know,
DoLS bringing life into the world right, the whole thing. Yes, I mean graphic graphic yep, but you know now everybody knows. So anyway, long story short, Yes, later that morning, my little gal was was born and life has not been the same. Baby Everett and you call it vy and we saw her before we started recording. She's precious. Thank you, So congratulations. I heard you telling Jimmy Fallon that life is mostly the same. You're just breastfeeding a little bit
more than you used to exactly, yea, thank you. Yeah, I'm doing it half the time and my wife does it the other half. That's so generous. It takes a team. You mentioned playing Joe Biden. You succeeded Jim Carey in that role. I mean, tons of people have now played Joe from back when he was vice president. Yes, I mean, what's the hardest part. What's the best part about playing our sitting president? Huh, that's a good question. The hardest part.
I mean, honestly, like, it's not, you know, I think with Trump, for example, he's such a big character like in life and it so it's sort of like, oh week, not to say it's an easy impression, it's not. No, I think it is an easy impression. Everyone does it, So it's right, there's a lot there. Whereas like when I first got the call like about playing by and Now, I was like, great, cool, Wait what is this impression
going to look like? And so I really did more research on him than I've done on just about anybody else I've done an impression of also, because like you know, it's a more high profile impression him being the pres and all. But yeah, I mean I was super pumped. I just for a little while I was like, well, jeez, I better figure this out because it's gonna look pretty bad if I can't get my little talents into this guy guy. So it took more research and work than
I would like to say. But it's super fun too. He's got like there's there's a lot there once you kind of dig into, you know, to actually work on so little mannerisms, little mannerism. Nailed it. There's a icular thank you, there's a particular rhythm of his voice. I'm not going to get Yeah, exactly, give me a little yeah, give me a little uh olidia. Ye that was horrible actor. Yeah, you played Eric. Can you give us a little Eric? Yeah.
Basically it's simple as this. He just goes like and I'm Eric, uh yeah, without mikey Day there as he's just sort of a yelling toddler in the way that I play him, I realize. And again that's another one, you know, that's another one where actually come to think that I did tons of research to make sure it was a nuanced, detailed, rich impression reflecting the real man that is Eric Trump, which is a real man. That was a really good impression a real man. Yes, that
was awesome. No, you're you're hilarious. I also want I watched more recently was a guy who just bought a boat. I love that character. I thank you know that character I feel like I went to high school with that character. I think we all went to high school and college with a couple of guys who just bought a boat. Yeah, hilarious. It's loosely based on a whole bunch of different people who I met. It's sort of an amalgam. Okay, sorry for the listener, A combination of different people for simple
sports fans here, simple mind. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know our demos. Well, you've got your own monogram the Starbucks cup? Did? I just should not have done that, hello, Olivia Decker. I mean it was on and it's leopard print. Well, you can get any print you want. I'm I should have waited for my coffee break when we wrap this up. But no, no, no, that's a beaut Wow. Yeah, I've got a friend of mine sent me this is what I'm having my coffee out of today. It's Robbed Nighter
as the guy going the caffeine maister the beanster. So talk about being self referential. You have your name on it and I have something from the show I work on, so we're both pretty cool. Well I love it. Hey, cheers, cheers, cheers. What's in your cup? This is some locally sourced rumplements. Love it, you know which I take great pride and I make it on the back porch here. Nice. Nice. I always wonder what you guys do out of season, you know. Yeah, I got a whole distillery going. No,
this is some coffee with some oat milk. I hate to say it. Sorry, Wisconsin. No, I'm the same. What about you? What are you drinking? Yeah? Black coffee splash a boat. Hey yeah, okay, okay, well hang on, hang on, we gotta get back here because you said sorry, Wisconsin. You are a Chicago guy. Yes, but very close to here is where you got married in Elkhart Lake, correct and el car Lake, Wisconsin. Shout out to guess Sort's Ice Creamery. Yes, okay, yeah, that's right. You've been so Yeah.
My wife and I were living in l A when we got engaged, and then we decided we wanted to get married in Wisconsin because we both have so many good memories growing up in Chicago. She grew up in the house behind me in the Chicago suburbs. Yeah. Although we didn't know each other when we were kids, we met later in life. I was auditioning for a VELV to cheese commercial. Did you get it? I did not, but I got a wife out of the deal. So they paired me up with a beautiful fellow actor named Caroline.
And when she told me her last name and where she was from, I was like, oh, yeah, I think I know your mom and brother and she was like, well that's creepy, but hello you. So we started dating. But anyway, so then yeah, when we were living in La La Land, the desert that it is, we were like, let's let's do the whole like Wisconsin Lake Vibe for our wedding, and so we just randomly selected Elkhart Lake.
But like I said, so you're in Sheboygan or close to it, and we filed our marriage certificate and license or whatever it is in So there's our that's pretty Wisconsin. It is pretty cool. And then we bought red Wing boots. There's a red Wings, a red Wing store. They and they'll want to be a sponsor of this podcast after this, trust me, so sign them up. Okay, So you're from Chicago and you got your start at Second City, which is like a theater to s and now, but at
the same time you're working for the Chicago Bulls. Yes, and also to back up, I mean I worked for a Second City in some capacity. I did a cruise ship gig for them for four months, which was two weeks too long, and then I did corporate gigs for them, and I taught. But I was never on the main stage or anything. So usually when people say, oh, I'm a Second City alum, it means they were on the main stage, which is why I don't say I'm a
Second City of alum. But I did work for them, but I did stuff at all kinds of theaters in Chicago. I owed the annoyance every Zanies, every theater under the sun that would allow this old bag of bones on the stage. I sprinted up there and took them up
on the opera. But yes, so then at some point, I think, in like oh nine ish, I saw Craigslist ad one day poking around for talent gigs, as everybody out there does, I'm sure, and there was a thing that said like open call for Benny and the Elevators, which is the Bulls Dunk team. Send us an email telling us why you think you should be able to audition, And so I sent an email to this random Craigslist post saying like well, I'm a giant Bulls fan and
I can still shoot a tray bomb pretty well. Oh yeah, I played rugby in college, so I don't mind having my body take a huge beating, right, and I do improv, so I don't mind crowds. And they were like great swing on by. So I went to this open casting call and then, you know, come to find out, the person I was emailing was the guy who played Benny the Bull himself no longer Benny the Bull, but he was the most dedicated person in any profession that I've
ever seen. This guy worked his bull tail off. I think he was psyched about the fact that I did improv, so he was like, okay, cool, maybe we'll use you in bits and stuff like that, which we did that too over the years, and he taught me how to acro duncan stuff. So yeah, it was the coolest side hustle as they say, that I could have ever asked for. So it's pretty cool. That is very cool. Yeah, And just to wrap it up, since now we are actually getting into sports, you're big Bears fan. Are you like
reveling in this Aaron Rodgers drama? Uh? Catch me up, Olivia? Okay, catch me up on the drama. Is he going to be a Bear? No? Is this what they're saying? Oh no, in the drama. In the fact, just his drama with the Packers, I was like, wait, do not here's something today? What's the deal? Okay, No, to catch you up. Training camp starts July. No one knows if he's showing up. He's in a very public dispute with the team this I've heard. They're kind of maintaining their stance. He's being
a bit of a diva. And the rumors are that he's going to Denver Denver boo, if you know, you're kind of catching up. Their roster is actually pretty stacked. He would be a great fit, but he's locked in with the Packers. They're not going to trade him. They've made that very known. I just thought, as a Bears fan, maybe you would be like, this is awesome. No. See,
here's the thing though, Olivia. Even though I'm a Bears fan and I know I'm gonna kiss off some people out there, my third favorite team is the Packers, just because you know, the aforementioned Wisconsin connection. So I'm not necessarily happy that Rogers is, you know, being a bit of a diva. But what's the what you know for pretend pretend I don't know a thing about it. And what is the source of this friction between them? It's
very under much his contract. So he's you know, older, but he just you know, says he won regular season MVP. He's not going anywhere. He's peaking. He wanted a long, longer term deal. The Packers gave him, I forget how many years, but a couple of too short. That's mostly it. He is commanding the type of attention and he wants to have full say over who's in the front office, who the coaches are all this. He's upset that they hired a new coach without asking him his opinion all this.
So it's very much a power struggle. And yeah, yeah, so those are all about I'm married, just figured go for the catskills coming Yeah, back to blue. But when you said as a Bears fan or you, I was like, wait a minute, is there did I did not see a tweet today that Rogers is thinking about Okay, No, he couldn't do that to us. I thought that he was maybe leaving to become the full time host of Jeopardy.
Isn't that. Ye see year more on the show business side. Yeah, he cantually angled that out there, but yeah, so hey, we'll get more into sports talk because we have NBA Finals talk that begins this week. It begins Tuesday night. We are so excited, Alex. We're so excited you're here. I know you are a general sports fan, but I'm going to totally catch you up on NBA Finals. General sports fan here reporting Yes, go ahead, Olivia, catch me up, Pretend I know nothing. I will tell you the finals
are weird this year. They are not sexy, but they are historic. More on that. I'm not well. The NBA Finals are upon us, and they are historic, albeit not very star studded, not very sexy, not much to look at. We've got small markets. So here's kind of the breakdown for you, Alex, because I know you haven't been watching every game. You watched casually, right, Oh yeah, yeah, you know it as casual as casual Friday. Maybe go ahead. Actually, okay,
So the Phoenix Suns and the Milwaukee Bucks. The Suns have never won at all. They haven't been to the finals since nine, the year I was born. But who's aragging. Hey,
¶ NBA Finals
they're the first NBA team to make the finals after a ten year playoff drought too, So that's pretty incredible. The Bucks haven't won at all since nineteen seventy one in Milwaukee. Get this is the third smallest market in the NBA. We're talking earlier. You kind of like Milwaukee sports teams Wisconsin sports teams because of that fact, because it's a small market. Do you think that makes this playoff more interesting to me? It does. I love small
market sports. I like the and it's not to say these are all my favorite teams, but I love the fact that Buffalo, New York has a football team. Green Bay, Wisconsin as a football team. Milwaukee, I mean, I don't know where it ranks in like population in the United States, but it's a small market. I love it that these small towns have teams that they get behind. And I think that small market towns get behind their teams even harder than big market towns. And I say that even
as someone from Chicago. I'm gonna piss off some Chicagoans, but I think Milwaukee ins and you know, Green Bay in's and all that stuff. Get you know, Oh Claire, Wisconsin should have its own n h L team for all I care. I mean, I just I like small markets teams. Well, I I kind of agree when like the Calves are doing well, the Browns are doing well, when Oklahoma is the thunder is doing well. Like these
small market teams. It's so cool when they show the live view of like when the team's on the road and they showed their hands. Oh my gosh, is that cool to watch? They care and even like do you ever see that ESPN thirty for thirty? Maybe we're not supposed to say those words in here, but anyway, that four Falls of Buffalo about when the Bills went to the Super Bowl, right around the time you were coming into this world. Yes, yes, the last time the Sons
went to the finals. But anyway, they went to four super Bowls in a row, lost them all, and they made a great documentary about it, and just about the town rallying behind these guys and still like holding parades from them even though they were basically runners up, which no town does. And they were like crying and they even brought like, you know that guy Scott Norwood, the kicker who blew their first Super Bowl, He was like
hiding in the bed. Do you know this? It's been a while, but yeah, oh my god, I weep every time he was hiding in the back because he was like embarrassed that he basically let an entire city down, which I would be too. Yes, and then they just started chanting his name until he came out to the front, and then they just went wild for him, even though he you know, screwed the pooch. He screwed the pooch. I almost said, shot the bed. But would we have
to beleeve that. I don't know how this podcast works well because chat isn't a real word. I don't think we do, right, Sorry, he shouted the but its still a part of the birthing story. Yes it is. Hey, you know that part is lesser known. But anyway, that gets me weepy every time thinking about these small market teams who get behind even a kicker who blows all their dreams apart. Yeah. No, it's cool because you live in New York City. You live, you know, you're one
of those coasters, you know it. I feel like people on the coast now are like whatever, you know, there's not a l A or New York team in it, or you know, one of these franchise teams. So I'm glad to hear you say and need to have Midwestern roots, but I'm glad to hear you say that. You think it kind of adds to the dialogue. I like it. I think it does. And I mean Phoenix I could take or least because what a dump. But you know,
if if Milwaukee can pull it out, that'd be pretty cool. Yeah, well, the cool thing with Phoenix and the main storyline is Chris Paul. This is a legacy building run. He's in his sixteenth season and it's his first finals appearance. He's always been an all star caliber player. He's played for five teams. He knows he has a lot of unchecked boxes six if you count Wake Forest go ahead. Sorry, but he finished fifth in m v P voting in the regular season, but now he's the favorite to win
finals MVP. I'm excited. Later we'll talk to Peter Andrew and kind of pick his brain on that. But I think what he's putting together for his tournament resume now is how much of a battle it's been. He played with partially torn ligament in his right hand in the series versus the Clippers, and luckily he's getting some needed rest right now. Before he takes on the Bucks Tuesday night. But he missed games in the last series due to COVID protocol. The series before that, it was a shoulder.
So the fact that he's missed as few games as he can dealing with three different issues, and here he is in the running for Finals MVP, I think is incredible. It is pretty cool. And even though you know, I just took a big dump ru all over Phoenix, uh, I do love C three p O as everybody calls him, No CP three. I love the guy. He's one of the best like leaders in the history of sports. I think it would be pretty cool if he won Finals m v P that I could get behind Olivia. Okay,
I like that as long as the Sun's lose. If he wins Finals MVP, then everyone's happy. Totally, totally. Well, let's go over to the Milwaukee side more in our neighborhood. You know, the Bucks are without two time m v P Jana Santa to Tumpo. They're screwed. They beat the Atlanta Hawks in the last series that took six games, and they're going to the NBA Finals for the first time since nineteen seventy four. Oh, I love it. No, but you honest did he hyper extended his left knee.
There's no structural damage. He's doubtful for game one. Again. We record this on Tuesday, so by the time this airs, we will know if you played. He's doing court work, he's walking through with the team, he's going to shoot around with the team. But you know, I don't know. I also wanted to talk about Peter Andrew with this. How Charles Barkley said that they're better without them, that it allows other players to shine, guys like Drew Holiday,
Chris Middleton. You know, all these good offensive weapons that otherwise are just feeding Janice so much that now they're more of a team effort. It's not a bad point. Yeah. Also, you know, as much as I love you, honest, I mean talk about overrated as a player. Goodness, gracious this guy. You Oh yeah, they're better off without them, just barn one, Yeah, you agree. No, I'm kidding. I don't know what sir
Charles was talking about. I think when you've got to time m v P. I think you're right, it does make other people step up. But maybe if they could sort of mild the two where everybody steps up and plays well, but also you've got Janice at Compo, the best player in the world playing. I think, thank you. I worked on it for two hours this morning, knowing i'd be saying it. Well, regardless it is, you know, like I said earlier, it's not sexy again too. If
Janice isn't playing, there's sexy Phoenix Lucky now talk about sexy. Yeah. Yeah. The desert versus the America's dairy land. Yeah, that's fair. That's the tagline for the finals. That's how the NBA should build these finals, the desert versus the cows. Well, what's next? I tell you what, though, every NBA writer right now, every Beat writer covering this league is just putting together the Chris Paul resume, because that's kind of now the story here. It's this season has been truncated.
They've been playing more games and less time, and there's been so many injuries, and now it's kind of coming down to this is what we got. Like, I think a lot of people feel like either of these teams right now wouldn't beat you know, teams who lost a couple of rounds ago at their peak. So, like I said, historic for reasons of you know, they haven't made it since. But yeah, not. I feel bad for NBA writers this week because they're just you know, scraping the bottom of
the barrel. They'll be alright, let's not well, they will be all right if they listen to our next segment with Peter Andrew, because he's going to guide us on where to place our bets the son. Yeah, he's coming on next and we can't wait. And we are joined now by Peter Andrew. He's our betting expert, he's our friend, he's newly engaged, he's got his golf clubs behind him. It's good to be Peter Andrew. Welcome back, Peter. Yeah, it's not so good to be me after what I
shot yesterday on the course. So it's not did you shoot, Peter? I shot a ninety nine Okay, okay, and baby yeah bad last half. That's what Alex was telling us earlier that he has become more of a golf fan recently. So have you been on the course yourself, Alex lately? Are you any good? You bet your ass? I'm good, yeah, no out. I did catch the bug a couple of
¶ Lion's Lock
years ago, and I played. I was in Kansas City last weekend for a bunch of stand up shows, and I played it. A friend of a friend hooked up a couple of really nice rounds, so I played some good courses. Was it Jason Sadekis? It was neither of them? Think ten times more famous. No, I'm kidding. It was a friend from high school, whose friend from college from Notre Dame as a lawyer in town. B J Craig.
Shout out to b J. You guys know who that is. Anyway, great lawyer for all your corporate law needs and the greater Kansas City. Yeah, well for b J for lining up these sweet ass golf rounds. I'm giving them some free you know, advertising love. So I played Mission Hills and Indian Hills and I, okay, hang on, I gotta stop you. I'm actually from Kansas City and that's where I lived during the winter. No way, So now we have two things. And my sister and her husband belonged
to Mission Hills Country Club. No way, Yes the way, whoa have you played Mission Hills? I know this world's getting too small. I have not I golf, but usually just in the summer when we're up in Wisconsin, because I'm smart and I don't like temperatures over a hundred. I feel you it was pretty muggy and old Mission Hills. Although that is that Kansas sermons. It's right on state line on the Kansas side, but barely. Yep. Yes, because they used to have the clubhouse in Missouri because there
was no booze allowed in Kansas. Have you had this? Yes? Yes? Cool? Hey, you know who else is a member there? Who? Patrick Mahomes is he? Yeah? Well, for freak's sake, Travis Kelsey and Patrick Mahomes golf there frequently. Really, well, you know who? I almost I shanked my drive on seventeen and almost killed a guy who plays every day with George Brett. That's about as close as I came to. They're not George himself, but his friends think buddy, Okay, Well we've
gotten way off topic here. I don't think so. I think this was all scripted. Go ahead, sorry, let me go ahead. So there's a big usc fight this weekend, Connor McGregor. Anyway, I shot an eighty seven to answer your question, and I don't mind telling you no one asked you said your original question. After he said a ninety nine, You said, did you golf recently? And what did you shoot? I thought, so I could be wrong anyway. In eight seven we'll roll the tape. Yeah, well, thank
you very much. Beat the pants off of old Peter Andre. You bells his last name with a U at the end. Go ahead. Oh, the senetic spelling is just Andrew. So yes, So Peter is going to tell us all about the Connor McGregor fight coming up. But Alex, you have played Connor McGregor on s n L, so we gotta bring in some kind of impression again here Sure he's put me on the spot for these in predictions. Good lord,
I haven't done him in two years. All right, here we go again, my Peter, uh, fill fill the time while I get into character. Would you well, I got McGregor to win McGregor first round, first round knockout. So win in the first round. You're darn right, you've got me to win. How about that, Peter Andre you shouldn't have nine and now coming in with a right prediction. That's my guy, something like that. Yeah, I caught a little McGregor and I caught a little Lepricaun in there.
But either way, it surprised it works for both. There we go, No, I love. You know, he's got his first initial on his hat thinking he's cool. Look at him thinking he's Ricky Fowler with his Puma hat. Go ahead, Sorry, how do I compete with that? You've got him to win? Go ahead? No, I really want to hear no, Poria McGregor three. Obviously he didn't look too hot last go around a couple of months ago. But he's got a bit more time to prep here, so I think he
comes out a little more prepared. First round knocked out. We've seen it all by A puts the poor in POORI A anyway, go ahead, I do want to hear this now. I mean I guess that. How do I compete with that? I mean you kind of you're feeling what I'm saying. Yeah, Pourier, I think pouri A outclass him a little bit last time. McGregor's coming training a little bit harder. I'm gonna pouri A myself a whiskey when I beat his hours into the ground. Although he sold the proper tool, I think so will he be
born in that? Oh man, he probably made a fortune a bunch of of Irish frame did it? Yeah? Yeah, he needed it, poor fellow. Well, hopefully with these three picks, I'll be making everybody fortune too. Not quite that proper twelve money, but there you go. I think it's favorable this week. He's even money to win. He was a heavy favorite last time around, disappointed a lot of people. First round knockout plus three fifty under two and a half rounds. I think minus s price. I like to
be a quick fight. I think he's coming out, he's coming fire. And like I said, we've seen this a couple of times with him. It wouldn't shock anybody. And yeah, he's got a good shot this weekend in Vegas. So I like where he's at. I think having that extra couple of months to train is going to do him a solid. Okay, he's gonna be a big star, that kind of McGregor. Now, Peter, are there any prop bets in UFC fighting? Is that something that occurs? Yeah, so there's a ton of prop bets. But I'll do you
one better. So you can pick round by round fighting, you can pick by decision, by t KO, by submission, etcetera. But we're actually giving every single customer and bet MGM a party boustoke in this week. So what we're doing is actually increasing whatever parley you choose, as long as you choose three different fighters, we're gonna increase it. That's
every single customer across every single state for bet MGM. WHOA, So that's the way we're gonna make you some Econo McGregor money this weekend, bet MGM, what a week in sports. That's not our tagline, that's next year's marketing campaign. You're just you're ahead of the curve. Yeah, yeah, we'll call you to record it, Alex. You say at first, well, we got to mention that Thursday this airs, but Tuesday
night the NBA Finals begin. Bucks Sons. Now we've shifted so much with m v P and now we actually have our two teams set Peter. We've talked so much about who we think finals m v P will be. Whoever it is has never won before. There's no finals MVP playing in this tournament. So, now, what are your favorites? Where should we put our money? Yeah, so there's two ways of thinking here. I think it's very binary, sons or books. I think a lot of people are leading sons.
If you do lean sons, you'd have to imagine that CP three is is the favorite because he wants. This has been fifteen years of him waiting to get a chance at this. He's plus one fifty, so it's it's not and he's gonna have to wait sixteen Go ahead, there we go. Someone's on the bucks train. He is above and beyond the favorite because of what he's gonna do for the team. Plus one fifty. I think you have to take it. If you want to get a
little crazy, I think you go for someone like DeAndre Ayton. Yeah. I think it was your dad a couple of weeks ago that said that that the offense really runs through him. Yeah. He essentially indicates how well they're gonna play. Yeah, he's he's plus two thousand, so worth a couple of bucks there. And then if you want to go on the other side, Janice is a tough bet because who knows what's happening with him. I know he's likely out for tonight because
he come back for game too. So I think you have to go to Middleton route plus five hundreds of still pretty good chance there. Middleton so slept on he I feel like he gets no credit. He'll have a great game and people are surprised, you know it's yeah, I kind of like that at plus Yeah, and I think he gets the short end of the stick sometimes because he's a streaky shooter at times, and when he's misses a couple he's getting chirpped that. But he's a
great player. I mean, he's a great two way player. And then the other one. I kind of look at brook Lopez. If he catches fire and they win a couple of games plus six, throw ten bucks on him. If you like the bucks, throw ten bucks and see what happens. But but I'm leaning the Sun's route. I think it's it's got to be CP three. Did you see the other day Charles Barkley said he thinks the best thing to happen to Milwaukee was losing you honestly,
no comment. If Sir Charles said it, then it's the gospel. It's my opinion. Yeah right, And he's Sir Charles is busy today he's broadcasting the match with Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, that whole thing. Are there any bit MGM bets on that? Yeah? So Rogers Bryson are the favorite. I think they moved to minus one eight or minus one seventy today. We'll actually have a ton of live betting so whole by
whole hitting green. So we have a couple of props, like all four players hit the green on a part three, but certainly you'll be able to go through each of the eighteen holes and with everybody as the as the round goes on. So really exciting. I saw Rogers doing a club fitting with Tayler made yesterday video and he was piping the ball, So I think that's where my money is going with Bryson and Rogers. Do you good golfer? Rogers? What's his handicap? Yeah, he was hitting the ball three fifteen,
so I'm guessing he's a five or less handicap. They were doing a club fitting and he looked unbelievable. So he's really been hitting the weights in preparation for the match. You could say, yeah, well he's not reporting to camp for the Packers, so he's got to do something right. We already talked about this, Peter, and we're a little upset about it. One of us is more upset about it. One of us just found out about it. Hey, moving over to another sports now I've heard it. Don't make
needs down like a total clown. I've heard of it. I just I wanted to ask you to explain it for our listener at home who doesn't know what's going on. You're busy, breastfeeding, You're busy. It's there's a lot going on going on. Wimbledon is going on right now across the pond, and it's really cool because two time defending Wimbledon champ Novak Djokovic reached his fiftie Grand Slam quarterfinal and Roger Federer is now the oldest Wimbledon quarterfinalist in
the Open era. So it's so cool to watch these two big names still competing at such a high level when so many people have taken on. I know, Federer just turned fifty five years old today. Congrat a big happy birthday to Roger Federer, the Swiss Cheese man, Swiss Cheese. I love it. It's just incredible watching the US to compete and just having such big names in it. Though. But Peter, what are some of the lines going forward
in Wimbledon? Yeah, so it seems like neither of them have obviously lost a step more relevant for federal or given. I think he's thirty nine, which is close to but I actually like Mateo beartteeny to beat him in the Samis, so I think again, where in my Italy shirt. Italy's playing in two hours so you know me, Oh you're from that part of Jersey. I see, Okay, go ahead, Yeah yeah, I new was gonna get it at some point, bet teeny. I think Djokovic cruises his way to the final.
I think you get both of them meeting the finals plus one sixty five teens actually only played better twice. They would have played in the French Open, but Roger had to withdraw, so that would have been nice if they got to meet again here. But I think he's just gonna help Boss and I think younger. They're both crafty in their own right. But I think he's just got a small ledge. He's been playing great. I think he's only lost one set all of Wimbledon so far
through four or five matches. So I'm just picking him to just keep with the momentum and continue being consistent, and I think you'll see no back in the finals. Okay. Well, Peter Andrew, thank you as always for all of your expertise. Alex, thank you so much for your McGregor impression, especially that was solid gold. And there's so much going on this weekend. It's going to be fun to watch Good times. Peter,
You're the best. Thank you, Peter, Thank you guys. Oh boy, I hope you guys had as much fun with that one as I did. Alex Moffatt was hilarious. You can catch him on s n now when their season resumes.
