On May 24, 2022, a mass shooting occurred at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, where 19 students and 2 teachers were fatally shot, and seventeen others were wounded. As I attempted to talk about this tragedy with my 3 kids, one of them asked a simple question: Why didn't God protect them?
My feeble attempts to answer the answerable led to another question. Have we ever really cared about other people’s children?
