For the uninitiated, Sajad Lone is the chairman of Jammu & Kashmir People's Conference (JKPC), a key political figure in the region. His late father, Abdul Gani Lone, was a prominent separatist leader and one of the founding members of the Hurriyat Conference, a political front representing various separatist groups in Jammu & Kashmir.
