Black History Month was started by Historian Carter Woodson from the Negro History Week and has evolved to celebrate the work of blacks and the role of Africans in history. We however need to do better at the way the African diaspora is portrayed by the media. We need to tell better stories of this continent and pay less attention to the stereotypical and one sided stories that the media shoves down our throats. Sounds to me like a conspiracy. Hahaha.
