By 1950, the town of Portlock, Alaska was mysteriously abandoned despite being still rich in resources and a huge commercial center. Legend has it that it was because of a creature called the Nantiinaq, or Hairy Man, a murderous Bigfoot like creature creeping around the woods and killing people that ventured into his territory.
