s1e20: one of the biggest misconceptions about colonialism is that it must be exclusive to racial relations or maritime empires. Only white folks can colonize, and only folks of color can be colonized. But the history of Ukraine, most of Eastern Europe, as well as Scotland and Ireland, beg to differ. Our featured Ukrainian Nadia Dobrianska, an Ireland-based Ukrainian journalist, educates us about parallels between the colonial experiences of the Irish and Ukrainians.
