I joined Alex Elbro for our monthly slot on her radio show to talk about a topic that I think is really important - calories matter less to our health than the food that makes up the calories. As humans we are not just physics, we are also biology! This means that we respond in different hormonal ways to the food we eat, not just the amount of energy in the food.Â
Sounds not too controversial, but the diet industry makes a fortune by peddling this idea.Â
